2005 Ohio Valley Top Prospect
Erich Holland is a 2006 OF/2B from Trinity HS in Louisville, KY, with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame. He has very good speed in the 60 at 6.85 and showed nice range in the outfield during games. His arm strength is playable and he makes accurate throws. Holland has lean athletic strength at the plate and a compact swing. He has good balance in the box and good rhythm to the ball. Holland is a line drive hitter who is looking to make solid contact to all fields and flashed a little bit of gap to gap power when he squared up on the ball. His offensive tools and approach fit the leadoff profile, where his speed will be a plus. Holland is an excellent student with top of the line test scores and grades and is looking at some top ranked academic institutions.
