Mark Mason is a 2009 RHP/1B from Meadville Area HS, residing in Meadville, Pennsylvania, with a 6'6"/185 pound frame. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action. Mason has a high leg kick and an online delivery with some effort. Mark has a straight fastball at 80 mph. He throws an 11-5 curveball for strikes at 65 mph and mixes in a 65 mph changeup. Mason hits from a very open stance and closes well. He has solid hands and makes consistent contact. He will pull off at times and needs to get better extension through the ball. Mason has long arm action from first base with a solid arm at 76 mph. He has soft hands and solid fielding skills defensively. Mark is a good student.
