2007 California Underclass Showcase
Anthony Rivera is a 2008 OF/UT with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Upland CA, who attends Claremont HS. Anthony has a lean athletic build with room to fill out and showed some solid offensive tools at the showcase. He has good balance in his line-drive swing plane and keeps his hands inside the ball well. Anthony uses his hands well in his swing and drove the ball consistently hard. As he gets stronger he will see his offensive game move to the next level. In the outfield Anthony has solid all-around actions but needs to work on getting more carry on his throws. Anthony is a solid student that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
