2003 Spring Showcase
Drewelow is a big Senior pitcher than can play at the College level. A 6 foot 3, 230 pound right-hander with pitchability and a knuckleball 3rd pitch. He uses a 3/4 arm slot and was clocked between 80-82 on his fastball. His curve worked good at 71 mph and his 3rd pitch is an effective 70-71 mph knuckleball. He can throw his off-speed stuff for strikes and seemed to always be ahead in the count. He can hit well with a long and strong swing. He had a tendency to swing around some but when he gets into one it goes a long way. His power is to left field and he punched a couple rockets down the line. His best infield position is 1B and showed adequate ability defensively. Drewelow can contribute to many small Colleges.
