First Inning: 2 run 2 out rally for SELU in the first
Second Inning: 2 Tulane errors and a wild pitch allows 2 unearned runs to score in the second. Add 1 earned.
Third Inning: HR for Hebert of SELA. Another error by Tulane. Wow, grand slam for SELA. I would say game over. Total of 8 unearned runs.
Fourth Inning: Tulane finally gets one. SELA answers back with 3
Fifth Inning: Holy crap SELA did not score!
Sixth Inning: SELA is held down again, lol.
Seventh Inning: Another scoreles innning for Tulane pitching.
Eighth Inning: Everyone ready to go home.
Ninth Inning: over

Tulane hitting is starting to be a concern only a few games in.
3 unearned runs for GW in the 6th
Too close with GW but a win none the less.

Hopefully be able to get this one in.
Raining here too, may lose power but will update as best i can
Ole miss gets 3 runs with 2 outs in the first
Tulane wastes a lead off double in the third.
Tulane gets 2 doubles for 1 run in the 4th.
Looks like a rain delay in the 6th.
2 more runs for Ole miss in the 8th. Think Tracey has 4 rbi.
Morgan pitches 4 innings to close it out for Ole Miss.

Tulane still can't damn hit.

Rubber Game.
For those interested, early reports from Coach Jones are that Randy Leblanc are not good but no medical diagnosis yet. Also said Leblanc was going to be moved to the Friday night guy before the injury. Weekend starter Broach is also hurt and did not start today.
Cannizaro for Tulane has all 3 RBI.
Solo HR for Tracey (ole miss) in the 7th.
Tulane loads them up in the 8th but can't get a run.
Nice series win but Tulane still can't hit. Good pitching though.

Tulane scratches one across in the 5th.
Wichita gets 1 with 2 outs in the 7th
Wow Wichita state gets solo shot then loads the up with 2 outs but Pepitone gets a pop up
3 run 8th for the wave. Nice hitting but only 6 hits
Damn ugly win for the wave, pep was ugly, threw over 50 pitches.
Tulane got no pitching for the next 2 with Broach, Leblanc, Pepitone and Byo out for the rest of the weekend.

Tigers got some work after CSF takes the lead in the 7th.
How about Ramirez! After a tough first he has dominated LSU.
LSu gets 4 in the 8th.
Ott in to save it
CSF not going away. Got 2 runs so far.

If i wanted to watch pro baseball low scoring pitching duels I would. Which I don't.
The NCAA ruined a good thing.
Sorry to all the baseball purists out there but the college game was interesting to a lot of folks because it wasn't the pros.

I can't think there are too many people out there asking for a return to those games. But this year I have seen two 1-0 games (LSU vs. UF and Tulane vs. Wichita St.) and for me personally that is a snoozefest.

I think watching the marginal players hit at a higher level wasn't all that bad. It made the game better and imho included more players.

Maybe I am wrong but it seems marginal pitchers now have an advantage.

I want to go back to last years bats, there wasn't an issue with them.

Like I said above. I apologize to the purists or the people who talk about "the way the game was meant to be played". College baseball isn't that as I see it nor should it be.

The World series can't keep me awake so any other pro game is really a uninteresting. This is why i don't want college to be like the pros.
I already find myself drifting from these low scoring pitching contests and flipping the TV on to watch something else. I know it is anecdotal but i know about 5 or 6 folks in the southeastern Louisiana area who feel very similar. I don't know how that plays out nationwide though.

What I don't understand is why the college game has to be like the pro game? Many people I talk to enjoyed the college game for the higher scores and the chance that a home run could be hit by just about anyone. When a pitcher pitched a great game you sure as hell knew it. That was for sure. That wasn't a bad thing.

Maybe I am in the minority of people who like the college game and don't like the pros? I would like to hear from folks like that because I know the pro fans will watch the college game if it is like the pros.

To Kendall's point about the speed of the game attracting more people. I think the pitch clock does that without dumbing down the bats too. Pretty sure that was proven during the SEC tourney last year.

I think the bats have been undumbed (smartened up?). Cranked up bats that allow homers to be hit by "just about anyone" is dumbing bats down imo.

Honestly, it sounds like you don't really enjoy baseball...

Probably not which was why the college game interested me more.

Again, just my thoughts. Hard to believe I am alone though.
