Matt Boyd against Trevor William in game one. Gotta be a good pitcher's duel. Looks sunny, but probably a little cool after the hail this afternoon.

Pac Pitcher of the week.....Matt Boyd gets my vote.

I gotta change my vote to Ryan Kellogg....unless someone throw perfect tomorrow......a perfect game broken up by 2 errors.Suicide

Game notes on the Beaver website for today's game:

"The game will be televised nationally on the Pac-12 Networks. Jim Watson will serve as the play-by-play announcer while former Giant and Angel J.T. Snow is the analyst."
Does this mean Mike Parker will NOT be doing play-by-play over the Beaver Sports Network?

"Kellogg struck out three in the no-hitter, the first against the Beavers since March 27, 1994 when Lewis & Clark State defeated OSU, 1-0."
The first couple times I read this, I kept thinking Lewinsky & Clark in Portland. Then I realized it was the NAIA powerhouse in Idaho. Now, Lewis-Clark State is no Brown University. They have 16 national championships. Still...we got no-hit by an NAIA team? Blush

"Probable Starters: OSU LHP Ben Wetzler (0-0, 2.38) vs. ASU LHP Adam McCreery (1-2, 6.86)."
I don't need a perfect game by Wetzler to feel good about the weekend, just a win. That 6.86 ERA on the other side makes me feel better about our chances for that.

Beaverstate69, there are just so many other activities for the Ducks and citizens of Eugene to engage in. I've posted just a few of the activitist groups that you can catch on a regular basis protesting at UO and Eugene.

National Education Association
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees

It is surprising the Ducks don't get more attendance for baseball (or basketball for that matter). 200K+ living within 15 mins of the ballpark you would think they could draw at least 2000 (butts in seats) and that would only be about half capacity. But I am not rooting for that place to start filling up. Lack of game day atmosphere there is one of the advantages the Beavs have in recruiting. PK is a top notch facility (and they sell beer) so why no fans? I can't stand the ducks, but I like the rivalry. It has made Beaver baseball a little more fun during conference play.

BB - that list probably explains a lot of it. I lived there for a couple years and will never move back. Can't stand the "culture" down there, or whatever the hell it is...

And just like that, an error turns perfect game into a no hitter try.

The OSU font is great... we had that until the OS came into play. There is a baseball inside the O.

As long as two others in the lineup do so as well!

Normally I'd agree with you, but Kellogg balances out Conforto in this case!
