Standings after Day one: BeaverBob behind a bunch of sweeps and correctly getting 5 of the 6 game 1 winners right has the lead. BeaverBeliever20 is on pace for a perfect week correctly picking at least game 1 correctly. And as seems to be quickly the norm RiverDuck brings up the cellar. NOTE with UW OSU rained out, there is some slight skewing of the scores, that should be corrected after today.

Thanks, borgguy, for stepping in. I was getting a little bummed at around 0300 when there was no daily synopsis. It is a highlight of my working weekend nights. Well done!

Well, I was one of two out of 18 to predict a beaver loss. So I am feeling fine with that.

Well I'm finally back from Utah/Hawaii/pretty much everywhere in Oregon and Washington, and I'm looking forward to UCLA handing Oregon is FOURTH series loss of the year.

Yeah.. I would worry about your game vs a potential rpi buster.. We are safe with UCLA.. Huskies on the other hand could work you. lol

Beavs have yet to lose a PAC12 series this year...1 won't matter, and by RPI buster since we are number 1 and have been pretty much the whole time it doesn't matter that much. We'll fall to 3 or 4, Ducks may drop out of top 10 with a series loss/sweep. At home might I add...

If you lose this series... 2 series losses to 100+, is worse than 3 to top 20.. just saying..

RD you may get swept at home....Ducks gain nothing on the Beavs this weekend if UCLA wins tonight. This will be Beavs 2nd series loss all year, the Sucks already have 3. As long as the Ducks keep struggling with the bats it looks like I may have a great weekend

as much as i hate to admit it, RD is right on this. all the Ducks series losses have come against top quality teams.... both of the beavers series losses have come against teams that they should have beaten HANDILY, yes baseball is a funny sport, and weird things like this happen, but to get blown out of the water by the HUCKIN FUSKIES.
I maintain hope that we can at least salvage one win tomorrow and right the ship next week against USC but for now we certainly do not deserve a top 10 ranking and a #1 RPI #2 ISR... this loss could very well cost us a national seed

Sorry Borg, but losses are losses...does that mean Hawaii is eveb more legit because they have like 20 losses to top 50 teams. Oregon state has already beat both Pac 12 teams the ducks have lost series to.

Anyway, thanks Bruins for making my night.

Wow. Sadness. I was in an all-day seminar and missed two horrible Beaver losses to the Fuskies. Glad I was at McMenamin's. Thanks, Borg, for filling in.

I hope you were able to have a few Hammerheads or even something stronger. As Mike Parker said, it was the worst day and the 8th inn of game two was the worst innining he has seen since the Arizona blowout two years ago.
