2019 Top Prospects

Tyler Demartino  OF - 2019 - Potomac, MD
West Virginia

DeMartino was outstanding all around in this event. He took an extremely loud round of batting practice, showing off legitimate bat speed and strength by driving the ball up the gaps repeatedly, and also showed off a hose from the outfield, where he was clocked up to 88 mph.

Paul Moore  OF - 2019 - Ashburn, VA

Moore showed off big bat speed and pop when hitting, consistently creating separation and leverage and driving the ball with impressive exits. He has legitimate all-fields power that should only get better; and also showed an 82 mph arm in the outfield.

Justin Carboni  OF - 2019 - Bethesda, MD
Pennsylvania

Carboni had a very good weekend overall. He ran a 6.82 seconds 60 yard dash, then showed off that athleticism in the outfield where he also has a very good arm, clocked up to 85 mph. He's a very good hitter as well, showing good bat speed with consistency, driving the ball on a line to all fields.

Steven Loden  3B - 2019 - Lower Gwynedd, PA
Florida Atlantic

Loden stood out on both sides of the ball; showing clean defensive actions in both the infield and the outfield along with a very loud arm tool, clocking up to 88 mph and 86 mph respectively from those spots. He also showed big bat speed and power at the plate, with consistent barrel skills and real pop.

Will Hart  LHP - 2019 - Madison, NJ
Army

Hart showed off a quick lefthanded stroke when hitting that consistently produced firm, well-struck liners to all parts of the field and projects in terms of power as well. He also good actions in the outfield with solid athleticism and a loose, whippy, very projectable arm.

Ethan Gabor  OF - 2019 - Bedford, NY

Gabor was very impressive with the bat; showing a smooth barrel with lots of bat speed, capable of consistently peppering all fields with firm line drives and overall high-quality bat to ball skills. He also took a clean outfield round with an 80 mph arm.

Jonathan Giordano  RHP - 2019 - Toms River, NJ

The primary pitcher first showed off his arm strength from the outfield, where he was clocked up to 86 mph, before getting onto the mound and working up to 84 mph with his heavy fastball, really doing a good job getting tons of weak contact and showing a usable curveball as well.

Corey Leadenham  SS - 2019 - Virginia Beach, VA
George Mason

Leadenham showed the ability to barrel the ball up to all fields with good line drive jump; really working into both gaps with good carry at times. He's also a quality infielder with good arm strength; and showed that arm strength on the mound as well, where he touched 82 mph.

Ben Metzner  OF - 2019 - New York, NY

Metzner took a really quality outfield workout, showing good footwork and overall athleticism to get to and through the ball cleanly and efficiently; and then showed off one of the better arms of the event, clocked up to 86 mph. He also has good contact skills at the plate.

Joe Morin  RHP - 2019 - Paramus, NJ
Salve Regina University

Morin showed a clean, repeatable delivery on the mound, working up to 83 mph on his fastball and complementing the pitch with good arm side life. He really did a good job of throwing strikes and mixed in a sharp, deep curveball; allowing him to strike out 8 in 4 innings.

Harry Padden  SS - 2019 - Elmer, NJ
Monmouth

Padden stood out all weekend, first by running a sub-7 seconds 60 yard dash and then taking a solid outfield workout and showing off an 84 mph arm. He also is a very good hitter; showing a middle-field with real bat speed and consistently well-struck line drive contact.

Matteo Sollecito  RHP - 2019 - Jersey City, NJ

Sollecito had a very good event defensively and on the mound. He worked out in several spots and showed quality athleticism and actions, especially at 1st base, and was clocked up to 82 mph both from the infield and 1B. He also got up to 80 mph on the mound with a good CB.


2020 Top Prospects

Jack Hurley  OF - 2020 - Boalsburg, PA
Virginia Tech

Hurley really stood out over the weekend. He's got very real bat speed in the box with quick hands and good feel for the barrel, driving the ball on a line to all fields consistently. He's also a very quality athlete in the outfield, and has a big time arm up to 88 mph as well.

Jose Aviles  OF - 2020 - Pennsburg, PR
Frank Phillips College

Aviles had one of the louder tools of the event with his arm. He threw 89 mph from the outfield and 88 mph from the infield; showing good athletic twitch to his actions in both spots. He also got on the mound and worked up to 83 mph from a very low slot release, creating big angles.

Justin Cruz  OF - 2020 - Springfield, MA
American International

Cruz has a very loud tool in his arm strength, which was on display immediately in the outfield. He got up to 87 mph on his throws from out there, with impressive zip and carry. He also got on the mound and showed a loose, easy arm action to pair with an 80 mph fastball.

Liam Smith  BHP - 2020 - Belle Mead, NJ
Davidson

Smith is a very projectable young righthander with good arm speed. He worked up to 81 mph with his fastball and should throw significantly harder as he starts to strengthen up his body. He also has advanced feel for his changeup, and did a good job throwing strikes.

Willie Schwarick  C - 2020 - Flanders, NJ
Siena

Schwarick stood out defensively during catcher workouts, showing good balance and explosion through his actions while combining those actions with good arm strength (75 mph) and a very good pop time (1.90 seconds). He also has interesting raw power at the plate.

Michael Baginski  3B - 2020 - Millville, NJ

Baginski showed some of the better raw power and offensive strength of the event; doing a good job of creating leverage and driving the ball into the air with impressive carry and jump off the barrel when squared up.

Amon Johnson  C - 2020 - McLean, VA

Johnson had some of the better raw power and physical strength of the event; showing the ability at times to square up the ball and drive it deep with good carry and potential big home run power. He did a good job of repeating his swing as well.
