2018 Top Prospects

Tyler Burchett  RHP - 2018 - Airville, PA
Kentucky

You won't miss Burchett as the Kentucky commit stands at a physical 6-foot-5, 220-pounds. He showed the biggest fastball of the weekend, clocking in as high as 91 mph with heavy life and the ability to work either side of the plate.

Max Dineen  OF - 2018 - Pennsville, NJ
State College of Florida

Dineen showed off his array of tools over the weekend and put together a solid performance in New Jersey. Well built at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, Dineen was up to 87 mph from the outfield, posted a 6.88 60-yard dash, and showed big bat speed with power potential that projects very well moving forward.

Hutch Gagnon  LHP - 2018 - Downingtown, PA
Penn State

Already committed to Penn State, the highly projectable Gagnon showed well during his time on the mound. The lefthander was up to 87 mph with his fastball, showing a quick arm while producing late running life to his heater. Gagnon also shows nice potential with his 1-7 shaped curveball.

Luke Smith  RHP - 2018 - Delran, NJ
Uncommitted

Smith impressed during his time on the mound, sitting comfortably in the 84-86 mph range and bumped as high as 87 with a quick right arm. He attacked the zone and showed both a hard slider and late diving changeup as well.

TJ Scuderi  OF - 2018 - Beachwood, NJ
Brookdale CC

Scuderi showed interesting two-way potential on the weekend, making hard contact off the barrel in live action with a fast righthanded swing while also impressing on the mound. A sub-7 runner, Scuderi topped out at 86 mph while showing a quick right arm and a strong feel for his curveball.

Max Helman  RHP - 2018 - Wilton, CT
Sacred Heart

Helman generated good arm speed through extension from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Fastball created solid downhill angle through the zone topping at 86 miles per hour. Also flashed the ability to locate an 11/5 curveball consistently.

Alex Diamantis  OF - 2018 - Staten Island, NY
Rider

Not only did Diamantis run a 6.92 60-yard dash, he also showed the strongest arm from the outfield this showcase with a top throw of 89 mph. The uncommitted outfielder found the barrel regularly in live action as well, collecting extra-base hits while working all parts of the field.

Christian Pierre  OF - 2018 - Maplewood, NJ
St. John's

Nobody ran faster than Pierre who topped the leaderboard with an impressive 6.69 60-yard dash, showing off his quick-twitch muscle. From the outfield he showed accurate throws with nice strength and performed well with his lefthanded swing, showing quick hands and the ability to drive to his pull side.

Jack Rajkowski  RHP - 2018 - North Haledon, NJ
Uncommitted

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound right handed pitcher flashed solid command of all three pitches while on the mound. Topped at 82 miles per hour with good arm side run and mixed in a 12/6 cuveball and fading change up to keep hitters off balance.

Luke Allain  LHP - 2018 - Pottstown, PA
Bucknell

Allain showed interesting potential on the bump and still projects well physically. Working from a higher release point Allain ran his fastball up to 85 mph while generating nice angle when on top and flashed a quality breaking ball too.

Colin Macko  OF - 2018 - Mountain Top, PA
UNC-Asheville

Macko showed off his arm strength from all areas of the field, first from the outfielder (86 mph) before his primary position of first base (83) and then bumped 84 mph on the mound. He also ran a 6.92 60 and showed a loose righthanded swing with natural lift and solid potential.

Jacob Bassil  SS - 2018 - Brooklyn, NY
Williams

Bassil began his showcase by posting a 6.98 60-yard dash before showing off nice defensive actions up the middle with soft hands and a strong arm across the diamond. He's a righthanded hitter who shows a feel for the barrel and shows the ability to work the gaps well when squared up.


2019 Top Prospects

Robert Buecker  SS - 2019 - Allentown, NJ
Army

Buecker did a little bit of everything on the weekend, showing a nice feel for the barrel from the right side, as well as quick feet in the infield and defensive versatility. He also took the mound and bumped 87 mph with a quick right arm, generating late running life with plane and threw lots of strikes.

Matt Hartshorn  RHP - 2019 - Toms River, NJ
Rider

Strongly built at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds, Hartshorn just completed his sophomore year and impressed on the mound this weekend. He topped out at 86 mph with his fastball, showing good extension and a feel for his changeup with late fading life. He also swung it well from the right side and showed carry off the barrel.

Tommy DiTullio  SS - 2019 - Point Pleasant Boro, NJ
Bryant

The Point Pleasant Boro native consistently produced hard line drive contact with present bat speed and pop. The primary shortstop also showed smooth, athletic actions defensively with good range and the ability to throw while on the run.

Jacob Denner  LHP - 2019 - Closter, NJ
Michigan

Strongly built, the lefthanded Denner just finished his sophomore season but showed the command of an upperclassman. Uncommitted, Denner lived in the low-80s, routinely hitting 82 mph with excellent plane while living at the knees, allowing the fastball to play up. Also had a nice feel for his curveball.

Henry Williams  RHP - 2019 - Darien, CT
Duke

At a long, lean, and athletic 6-foot-4, Williams showed nice balance and an easy set of mechanics on the mound which helped to produce a fastball that sat in the 82-84 mph range and bumped 85 mph. He showed both a curveball and changeup and also threw 88 mph across the infield.

Ohjiro Motoki  RHP - 2019 - Cresskill, NJ
High Point

Motoki just wrapped up his sophomore season of high school and came out this weekend, topping 86 mph with his fastball which showed late running life. He complemented it well with a potential swing-and-miss type curveball and also swung it well from the right side with pop off the barrel.

Justin Caesar  SS - 2019 - Glen Burnie, MD
Uncommitted

Caesar plays the game in fast-forward mode and showed well in all facets during live action. His righthanded swing is both short and quick, yet strong for a player of his size and routinely connected for hard contact. He also showed athleticism up the middle with a strong, accurate arm across.

Grant Shulman  3B - 2019 - Wall, NJ
Rutgers

Shulman showed off his two-way potential this past weekend in New Jersey as he bumped 82 mph with his fastball and threw a quality changeup too. He's a primary third baseman though and swings a lefthanded stick, one that connected for some hard contact, especially to his pull side.

Armando Alvarez  1B - 2019 - River Vale, NJ
Rutgers, State University(NJ), Newark

Alvarez repeated a simple line drive swing path with a naturally leverage plane through extension. The primary first baseman showed a mature approach while at the plate consistently squaring up the baseball throughout the event.

David Howarth  C - 2019 - Wall, NJ
Northeastern

The 2019 catcher utilized his present strength while at the plate to drive the baseball with authority. Howarth worked to the baseball on a loose, uphill plane producing hard, loud contact to the middle of the field and pull side gap.

James McKenna  OF - 2019 - Longhill, NJ
Uncommitted

The 6-foot-1 outfielder utilized a smooth, a naturally lifted swing plane that generated good bat speed and strength at contact. When on time, produced loud contact with carry to each of the outfield gaps. Also flashed the quick twitch to turn barrel to contact and work to pull side with authority.

Dylan Bedder  RHP - 2019 - Berkeley Heights, NJ
Saint Anselm

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound right handed pitcher created good deception to the plate with a cross fire action action from a high three-quarters slot. Consistently worked to each edge of the plate with a fastball that flashed occasional run to arm side, topped at 81 miles per hour.

Nicholas Fraterrigo  RHP - 2019 - White Plains, NY
Lackawanna College

Fraterrigo is a strong presence on the mound and he's able to utilize that strength on the mound, generating solid plane to his fastball which topped out at 84 mph through his outing. He also showed a consistent feel for his changeup with steady fading life down in the zone.


2020 Top Prospects

Kevin Karstetter  SS - 2020 - State College, PA
State College of Florida

Already strongly built at 6-foot-2, 195-pounds despite just finishing his freshman year, Karstetter showed nice tools, including his speed which yielded a 6.84 60-yard. He shows a short and quick righthanded stroke as well as nice arm strength, running his fastball up to 83 mph.

Tyler Joseph  3B - 2020 - Bloomsbury, NJ
Army

Joseph is another interesting two-way player who just finished his freshman year of high school. Showing both quality arm strength across the infield (85 mph) and on the mound (84 mph), Joseph also impressed with a naturally leverage swing and nice bat speed through the zone.
