2020 Top Prospects

Kian Knutson  OF - 2020 - Tampa, FL
Tampa

Super athletic with present strength, he was fantastic from start to finish. He ran a 6.65 in the sixty, took a very strong BP, and continued that in the games with multiple hits. He is an absolutely explosive player with a high ceiling.

Austin Amaral  RHP - 2020 - Debary, FL
Stetson

Amaral looks to be a significant draft prospect next spring and the Stetson commit tossed three strong frames on Sunday topping out at 92 mph. He has a whippy arm stroke with lots of room to fill and a sweeping breaking ball in the mid-70s.

Will Vergantino  SS - 2020 - Lumberton, NJ
Elon

Vergantino put on quite the display of hitting in game action, driving a homerun deep to the pull-side. The Elon commit has a strong and athletic frame to go along with consistent leverage to contact and present bat speed. The primary shortstop also ran a 6.93 second sixty-yard dash.

Memphys Starks  3B - 2020 - Ozark, MO
Missouri State

Starks showed excellent power potential from both sides of the plate, as the switch hitter swings with intent to impact the ball to all fields. A Missouri State commit, Starks also impressed on the mound. The right-hander ran the fastball up to 89mph and showed exceptional feel to spin a tight slider that was tough on right-handed hitters and lefty's alike.

Ryan Troye  3B - 2020 - Brentwood, CA
Uncommitted

Troye does a lot of things to like both offensively and defensively, and he also has present strength in what is an athletic frame. At the plate, Troye turns the barrel over well and shows good jump off the barrel to the middle of the field. Defensively, the California native has clean footwork and actions through the ball, and he also showed impressive strength making 90mph throws from the outfield.

Jack Speights  3B - 2020 - Clearwater, FL
Seminole State College of Florida

Speights is a very physical and athletic prospect at a listed 6-foot, 210-pounds and that strength allows for significant impact from an offensive perspective. Speights, an uncommitted senior, swings hard and whips the barrel well to create leverage to the pull side to go along with a fit in the infield.

Braydan "Gabe" Spedale  OF - 2020 - Denham Springs, LA
LSU - Eunice

Spedale is an athletic lefthanded hitting outfielder with a good arm that was recorded up to 89 mph. He's a good runner too as he got clocked at 7.0 in the sixty while also posting run times on turns around 4.4 seconds. He handles the barrel well with surprising pop and is committed to LSU-Eunice.

Randall Carver  3B - 2020 - San Antonio, TX
Uncommitted

The uncommitted lefthanded hitter is physical, with a quick bat, and an accurate barrel. There is a big bump in power as he learns to lift. He runs well for his size and should be a very nice riser as he develops.

Ethan Roberts  MIF - 2020 - McDonough, GA
Truett-McConnell University

Roberts shows excellent athleticism, running a 6.59 second sixty-yard dash and fielding with a clean glove and athletic actions in the middle-infield. Roberts showed a good approach in game action, collecting multiple hits off of quality arms on the mound.

2021 Top Prospects

Tommy White  3B - 2021 - St. Pete Beach, FL
Louisiana State

The North Carolina State commit shows huge power potential at the plate, driving balls to and through the pull-side gap with ease in both batting practice and game action. White has present arm strength defensively and shows a clean glove on the left side of the infield.

Braden Calise  SS - 2021 - Fort Pierce, FL
Louisville

He came in with a reputation of being a well-rounded baseball player, but showed very nice tools during the event as well. He ran 6.65 in the sixty, showed big defensive skills, bumped 88 on the mound, and banged a double off the leftfield wall. He has a very impressive all-around skill set.

Chase Valentine  SS - 2021 - Phoenix, AZ
Tennessee/Central Arizona CC

The super rangy shortstop was impressive defensively all weekend. He has a really good first step, a lightning quick transfer and a really accurate arm. The uncommitted righthanded hitter also has a tight swing with good hands and showed the ability to use the whole field well.

Fisher Jameson  RHP - 2021 - Lake Worth, FL
Florida

Jameson showed some electric stuff on the bump as the uncommitted prospect ran his fastball up to 89 mph with a power breaking ball. At a true 6-foot-4, 205-pounds there's lots of projection to the frame and Jameson's two pitch mix is extremely enticing.

Raul Diaz Jr  C - 2021 - Palm Beach Garden, FL
Uncommitted

He popped a 2.0 and received and blocked well in games, while also showing a 91-mph exit velocity during drills. He hit four straight homeruns during batting practice and took it to games on Saturday with a line drive homerun to left. Sunday he was at it again hitting a back spun triple to the opposite field gap. There is big promise in his overall game.

David Bishop  SS - 2021 - Marietta, GA
TCU

The TCU commit has very good bat speed and a wiry body with real upside. He shows intent in his swing, with defensive versatility, and ran a 6.86 in the sixty to round off an impressive showing.

Gavin Conticello  SS - 2021 - Coral Springs, FL
South Florida

There is a lot of projection in his body and his lefthanded bat. The USF commit ran a 6.83 in the sixty and had a 90-mph exit velocity. He can stay on the left side with projectable actions and carry on his throws. He opened game play with a 4-hit game including a double and a triple.

Kobe Benson  SS - 2021 - Boca Raton, FL
Dyersburg State CC

Benson shows an advanced hit tool and excellent bat-to-ball skills, and the Coastal Carolina commit showed a high-contact approach in game action. Defensively, Benson has clean footwork and easy actions through the ball in the infield and arm strength that should continue to develop as the frame matures.

Ryan Waldschmidt  SS - 2021 - Bradenton, FL
Charleston Southern

The righthanded hitter raked from the time he got to the event until he left. He took a very impressive batting practice and then seemingly barreled everything in games. The infielder added a 6.76 in the sixty-yard dash and looks like a must-see uncommitted athlete.

Nicholas Romano  SS - 2021 - Boca Raton, FL
Florida Atlantic

Showed soft hands, a good arm, and a good first step at short stop and looks like he should stay there long term. On Sunday he had his sweet left-hand swing on display banging a double off the left centerfield wall.

Sean O'Mara  OF - 2021 - Shrewsbury, NJ
Catholic University

One of the loudest weekends of any prospect in attendance, he ran a 6.90 in the sixty and threw 85-mph from the outfield during workouts. The ball jumps off his barrel and it showed in game with a long homerun 3/4 of the way up the net past the leftfield wall on Saturday. He doubled off the left centerfield wall on Sunday. This uncommitted bat needs to be followed closely.

Jackson Kent  RHP - 2021 - Pace, FL
Pensacola State

The 6-foot-5 righthanded pitcher was dominant during his outing. He sat in the mid-80s and peaked at 87 with a very tough low 3/4 arm slot and a quick shoulder. He tunneled his slider well and got a lot of swing and miss on the pitch. Lots of upside here and can already pitch.

Joshua Steidl  C - 2021 - Delray Beach, FL
Jacksonville

Just before committing to Jacksonville, Steidl came down and showed off his impressive stuff over the weekend. He's a tough defender who can smother balls in the dirt but the offense is the upside as Steidl is a strong lefthanded hitter with impact and juice present.

Blake Barquin  RHP - 2021 - Lakeland, FL
Jacksonville

The power bat and power arm combo is easily noticed with this young prospect. He has a big body and is going to be extra-strong as he fills out. The uncommitted prospect showed big power to the middle of the field in games. A righthanded pitcher as well, he comes at you from a tough low 3/4 slot with hard sink to his 86-mph fastball.

Brett Blair  3B - 2021 - Gainesville, FL
Stanford

This is a very advanced righthanded hitter with ability to hit and hit with power to all fields. He profiles well at third base and for a player that is already physical he runs well as his 6.80 sixty suggests. He has middle of the order potential at the next level.

Carlos Cordero  SS - 2021 - Orlando, FL
Eastern Florida State

Has lots of twitch in his game. He gets up to speed quickly and uses it well at shortstop and on the bases. He barreled balls all over the field during game play, looking to attack. He hit a hard double down the leftfield line during game play and simply caused havoc with his aggressive style of play.

Jack Cue  OF - 2021 - Southwest Ranches, FL
Louisiana Tech

Worked out well during drills with a 6.78 in the sixty, 88-mph arm strength from the outfield, and a 90-mph raw exit velocity. He has a mature approach in games as well with ability to control the zone and take what the pitcher is giving him. There is a lot to like in his overall game with tools that show nice upside.

Clayton Hodges  OF - 2021 - Jacksonville, FL
Jacksonville

A Jacksonville commit, Hodges is an athletic outfielder with a big arm and some big power at present. He threw up to 89 mph from the outfield and has very fast hands in the box with a solid, well-rounded skill set all the way around for the overall profile.

Lawson Knight  OF - 2021 - Round Rock, TX
Kansas State

Knight put together an impressive performance, showing excellent speed and athleticism by running a 6.65 second sixty-yard dash. Knight also showed a big arm in the outfield up to 90mph and has the raw power potential at the plate that could develop into something special.

Jason L'Etoile  RHP - 2021 - Lake Worth, FL
Gardner-Webb

Had a very impressive weekend showing off his future power lefthanded bat and future power righthanded arm. He showed some pop in batting practice and notched a couple hits during game play. He jumped on the mound and pounded the zone while topping out at 87. He worked out in the outfield showing 92-mph arm strength and registered a 91-mph exit velocity.

Drew Leinenbach  SS - 2021 - Dunnellon, FL
North Florida

Leinenbach put on an impressive display of athleticism throughout the weekend, running a 6.75 second sixty-yard dash and throwing 90mph from the outfield. On the mound, Leinenbach commanded the strike zone with the fastball up to 87mph, and he also showed feel to bury a changeup in the dirt for big swing-and-miss.

Tyson Luna  OF - 2021 - Houston, TX
Amherst College

Was impressive with his 2-way ability. He has fluidity in everything he does with projection in his tall and long frame. He pitched in the low-80s with an easy arm stroke and plenty more to come. The lefthanded hitter also showed good hands at the plate as he lofted a ball to right centerfield for a double.

Zachery Mack  1B - 2021 - Manvel, TX
San Jacinto CC

A very tall and strong young 2-way player, he is way more athletic than a first glance might seem. He barreled balls all weekend for extra base hits, showing big power to the opposite field gap. He also has a clean arm stroke and big upside on the mound, showing feel for his arsenal and running his fastball up to 87.

Hector Mangual  SS - 2021 - Oviedo, FL
Missouri

Already having a commitment to Mizzou, he showed the type of skills to be followed closely during the next year for draft potential. He has a great body to build on with the hands and arm to stay at shortstop

Christian Orduna  LHP - 2021 - Miami, FL
Barry

Orduna shows a good three-pitch mix to keep hitters off-balance, pitching at 83-87mph with the fastball and showing feel to spin a curveball with 11-5 shape and late depth in the upper-60s. Orduna has an athletic frame from the left side, and also has advanced feel for a changeup that he tunnels well and maintains hand speed with in the mid-70s.

Benjamin Rosin  RHP - 2021 - Shoreview, MN
NIACC

Making the trip down south from Minnesota, Rosin is a big, physical righthanded pitcher with a true three pitch mix. He topped out at 87 mph during this look with good arm side run on the fastball while both the sharp breaking ball and fading changeup allow him to have numerous weapons on the mound.

Clay Tyas  RHP - 2021 - Gainesville, GA
Chattanooga State Technical CC

Tyas has a good amount of upside on the bump with a very quick arm and a fastball that was up to 87 mph. His feel to spin is a separator as he can manipulate shape on both his curveball and slider while showing good spin.

2022 Top Prospects

Jordan Austin  OF - 2022 - Lees Summit, MO
Missouri

Has a lot of room to add strength to his wiry body but that doesn’t stop him from having very good bat speed with length and looseness in his swing. He ran 6.86 in the sixty and was exceptionally impressive in the outfield, making a handful of very rangy plays.

Ross Highfill  C - 2022 - Madison, MS
Mississippi State

Highfill showed excellent athleticism and advanced defensive actions behind the plate, strong throws with accurate carry up to 83mph and recording a 1.92 second pop time. Highfill runs a sub-7.00 second sixty-yard dash, and uses his athleticism to be a force on the bases.

Robert Oropeza  3B - 2022 - Tomball, TX
Alvin CC

Oropeza had a strong showing in multiple facets as he's a high-waisted projectable infielder with big offensive tools. The swing is loose and quick with a consistent amount of line drive contact during BP while he also flashed the power with a loud in game drive over the wall to the pull side.

Bobby Fasulo  OF - 2022 - Jupiter, FL
Tampa

Another young 2-way prospect, Fasulo shows some strength in his hands at the plate and hit the ball hard during both batting practice and the games. He sat in the low-80s with his fastball and showed good ability to mix his pitches.

KC Anchors  C - 2022 - Wellington, FL
Union College (Kentucky)

The young backstop was really impressive in defensive workouts popping a 1.91 during drills with good arm strength and accuracy to the second base. He also has a quick stroke with jump off the barrel. The uncommitted catcher showed a nice mix of matching upsides on both sides of the ball.

2023 Top Prospects

Nic Frink  C - 2023 - Scarborough, ME
Quinnipiac

This is a physical catcher with skills to stay at the position long term. He threw a 1.92 to second base with a smooth and consistent transfer. The righthanded hitter also showed big power potential with a 96-mph raw exit. He is young for the grade and will be fun to watch develop over the next few years.

Jerson Martin  C - 2023 - Fort Worth, TX
Wichita State

Martin is highly athletic for a backstop as he turned in a 7.0 second 60-yard dash while also showing off a very quick release with a sub-2.00 second pop time. The offensive profile is interesting with good bat speed, fluidity, and loft to the swing plane.

Ceph Christie  MIF - 2023 - Washington, DC
Uncommitted

Showed real versatility during workouts having a strong round in the outfield, infield, and behind the plate. He has twitch in his wrists, and it translates to games with multiple hits, his last being a line drive off the leftfield wall for a double.

Paul Guerne  LHP - 2023 - Melbourne Beach, FL
NYU

The young lefty is very polished and confident. He peaked in the low-80s with life to his fastball. His feel to pitch to both sides of the plate coupled with his ability to spin makes him super advanced for his age.
