2023 Top Prospects

Dario Sosa  OF - 2023 - Waterbury, CT
Post

Sosa is advanced physically for his age standing at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds. His actions are fluid from the infield and he's able to handle the bat well from the right side. He's got an easy swing through the zone that is able to generate jump off the barrel when squared up.

Hiro Wyatt  RHP - 2023 - Westport, CT
Southern California

Wyatt was a solid arm from the right side. The 6-foot-1, 160-pounder led the event with his fastball up to 85 mph with sharp running life late through the zone. He flashed a good fading changeup as well as working both a curveball and a shorter slider to the zone landing both for strikes and getting swings and misses.

Nick Martinez  3B - 2023 - Nanuet, NY
University of Alabama at Birmingham

Martinez was one of the top all-around players at the event. At 5-foot-10, 180-pounds he's got a big power threat moving forward in his bat. Martinez was consistently able to drive the ball to the deep parts of the field with torque in the lower half.

Alex Stanyek  OF - 2023 - Holmdel, NJ
Miami

A strong 150-pound frame, Stanyek shows an all-around top end ability on a baseball field. On the mound his fastball has sharp life through the zone topping out at 81 miles per hour. Stanyek also shows a quick first step in the field with range and the arm strength to consistently get outs.

Ceph Christie  MIF - 2023 - Washington, DC
Uncommitted

Christie was effective behind the plate both in workouts and during the live games. Popping a 2.06, he led the workouts and it translates well to games as he threw out several batters trying to take extra bases. He displays quick hands at the plate with a contact oriented approach.

Griffin Seibel  RHP - 2023 - Glen Ridge, NJ
Xavier

Seibel was among the more projectable pitchers to work over the weekend. At 5-foot-11, 140-pounds he was able to work the fastball up to 81 mph with a full arm action and hiding the ball well. He works fluidly from first base showing accurate carry across the diamond.

Danny Witters  C - 2023 - Cortlandt Manor, NY
Stetson

Witters showed a good amount of strength with the bat in his hands. He works through a naturally lifted bat plane and attempts to work to ball into the air. The 145-pound '23 graduate showed some of the better pop in his bat at the event.


2024 Top Prospects

Gregory Bruno  RHP - 2024 - Staten Island, NY
Georgia Southern

Bruno is a very athletic pitcher/infield player. He was highly effective on the mound working in the mid-70's and showing feel for a breaking ball as well. In the field he was smooth up the middle with clean glove actions and the ability to stay on the left side of the field. He also shows the ability to manipulate the barrel well at the plate and square the ball up.

Gabriel Tirado  C - 2024 - Newington, CT
University of Connecticut

Tirado displays quick hands at the plate getting a compact path working a though a high contact approach. Consistently squaring the ball up with jump, His best contact came when working to the pull side, but he was capable of hitting the ball with authority to all fields.

Joey Tonnotti  RHP - 2024 - Southington, CT
University of Connecticut

Tonnotti excelled in all three facets of the game over the weekend. He hit the mound and worked quick innings topping out at 78 mph while working the edges of the plate with consistency. In the field he works athletically through the ball in the outfield with quickness to transfers and accurate throws.
