Garrett Saunders

After wrapping up a very successful career for the Central Dutch which included a first team all region selection after the 2018 season Garrett showed why he got all of those accolades. Saunders was able to post a 6.72 second sixty yard dash while topping out at 84 miles per hour across the infield. The sure handed infielder showed athletic confident fielding actions working to and through the ball in workouts as well as games with multiple impressive plays. At the plate Saunders showed a gap to gap approach with pop to both gaps during batting practice while collecting a solid line drive base hit to the left center field gap during game play.
Parker Thode
RHP - 2016 - Ottumwa, IA
Grand View College
Working exclusively from the stretch the 6-foot-2, 175-pound Thode was still able to show off his high end arm speed that helps him produce a heavy fastball with sharp tail at 91 miles per hour from the right side. He projects well moving forward with a clean delivery and fluid arm action, on top of his athletic delivery.
Tyler Smith
SS - 2016 - Des Moines, IA
Grand View College
The smooth fielding Junior at Grand View was impressive throughout the day making multiple impressive plays in the field. Smith features smooth quick hands complemented by athletic actions while working to and through the ball and a strong arm topping out at 91 miles per hour across the infield. The South Africa native Utilizes a gap to gap approach with legitimate power to both gaps to go along with good bat speed and barrel control creating consistent loud contact.
Tanner Lohaus
RHP - 2016 - Hiawatha, IA
Mount Mercy University
Strong and projectable righthanded standing at 6-foot-7, 205-pounds. Lohaus utilizes a simple and athletic delivery working through an extended release. He's able to create hard cutting action on the fastball topping out at 88 miles per hour and sitting consistently in the mid-80’s. Will land the sharp slider for strikes while mixing well.
Owen Coady
LHP - 2019 - Larchmont, NY
Pennsylvania
Really projectable lefty on the mound sitting 89 to 91 miles per hour with occasional running life through the zone. Really keeps the hitters off balance able to mix in both a curveball as well as a short cutter/slider combination.
Josh Fitzgerald
OF - 2019 - Mason City, IA
Dallas Baptist/Kirkwood CC
The Kirkwood commit was impressive from the start of the showcase by posting a showcase best 6.62 second sixty-yard dash. Fitzgerald was able to follow up his blazing sixty time by topping out at 88 from the outfield. Fitzgerald features athletic actions in the outfield with good range to go along with the arm strength. At the plate Josh collected one hit during game action to go along with multiple loud outs.
El Rico Riley
SS - 2019 - Atlanta, GA
Florida Southern/St. Petersburg College
The uber athletic outfielder showed a quiet swing with good bat speed and jump off the barrel to all fields. During workouts El Rico posted a 6.75 second sixty yard dash while topping out at 93 miles per hour from the outfield and 89 miles per hour across the infield. On the mound El Rico features an athletic delivery with good arm speed topping out at 89 miles per hour with his fastball.
Harrison Cook
RHP - 2019 - Solon, IA
Kentucky
Harrison continued his impressive spring at the National Pre-Draft showcase featuring his two pitch mix including a fastball with a steep downhill plane up to 88 miles per hour to go along with a sharp 11/5 curveball thrown for a strike consistently at 76 miles per hour. Through two innings of work the Kentucky commit was able to collect three strike outs while walking none and allowing two hits.
Albert Choi
OF - 2019 - Downingtown, PA
New Jersey Tech
Albert Choi really showed off his athletic ability in all dimensions of the game. During the 60-yard dash he posted a 6.64 60-yard dash. His 89 mile per hour throws from the outfield were also near the top of the leader boards. At the plate Choi showed off a compact swing path while able to still impact the ball with authority
Tommy Benson
SS - 2019 - Crown Point, IN
North Alabama
Really displayed his defensive ability during the event with smooth hands and quick exchanges. He also showed off the arm strength on throws topping out at 89 miles per hour that stayed accurate to the bag. At the plate Benson is mechanically sound and consistently drives the ball to all fields. Led the event with a 103 exit velo.
Xavier Watson
SS - 2019 - Cudahy, WI
Illinois
The athletic shortstop posted a 6.69 second sixty-yard dash during workouts while also showing athletic actions working to and through the baseball with confident glove actions. At the plate the Illinois commit flashed gap to gap power during batting practice and was able to back it up in the game with a loud double into the left center field gap.
Tj Schofield-Sam
SS - 2019 - Brampton, ON CAN
Chipola College
The Canada native showed the ability to drive the ball during games and workouts with multiple loud fly balls to the outfield and a 91 mile per hour exit velocity. Schofield-Sam features athletic actions everywhere on the field to go along with a strong arm posting a 7.37 second sixty-yard dash and topping out at 85 miles per hour across the infield.
Peyton Holt
SS - 2019 - Fort Smith, AR
Arkansas/Crowder College
The Louisiana-Lafayette commit was impressive during workouts posting a 6.85 second sixty yard dash and top out at 84 miles per hour across the infield while showing athletic actions and good range to both sides in the infield. During games Holt showed great instincts on the bases collecting a stolen base and making multiple heads up plays to go along with his loud base hit.
Calvin Harris
C - 2020 - Peosta, IA
Mississippi
The Ole Miss commit continued to impress this spring with his showing at the National Pre-Draft. Harris started the day off hot at workouts posting a 6.86 second sixty-yard dash. Behind the plate Harris showed off his strong arm and quick hands posting a 1.94 second pop time while topping out at 82 miles per hour to second base, From the outfield Harris showed athletic actions working to and through the ball to go along with good arm strength topping out at 92 miles per hour from the outfield. At the plate Calvin showed a gap to gap approach with good jump off the barrel through the gaps when squared.
Tyler Tscherter
SS - 2020 - Reinbeck, IA
Missouri State/Kirkwood CC
The 2020 grad was impressive in his two innings of work striking out four while allowing no hits or walks. Tyler features a side-arm arm action creating a lot of deception and movement on pitches to go along with two pitches thrown consistently for strikes. Tscherter flashed a fastball up to 87 miles per hour with hard late running action complemented by a sweeping slider up to 80 miles per hour.
Alec Nigut
OF - 2020 - Des Moines, IA
Iowa
Nigut was impressive at the plate this weekend utilizing a gap to gap approach with power to both gaps and good bat speed creating consistent loud contact to and through both gaps. Showed the ability to drive the ball deep into the outfield during batting practice as well.
Ian Moller
C - 2021 - Dubuque, IA
Louisiana State
Moller, a 2021 graduate, is already advanced both in the box and behind the plate. He has advanced catch and throw ability posting a 1.94 pop time. At the plate Moller consistently gets the ball in the air with advanced barrel skills with big time power potential.
Aaron Downs
3B - 2021 - Columbus, MS

Downs wasted no time in the game today blasting a loud home run to deep left center field in his first at bat of the game. The Louisville commit started the day off loud in workouts as well posting a 6.71 second sixty-yard dash to go along with topping out at 90 miles per hour across the infield and a 96 mile per hour exit velocity.
