2020 Top Prospects

Kevin Parada  C - 2020 - Pasadena, CA
Georgia Tech

Parada made his national mark at the WWBA World Championships in October with a dominating offensive performance and showed that he's ready for a strong junior season already. He's also ways hit but don't forget his high level defensive tools, which include a big arm and a 1.85 pop time.

Maui Ahuna  SS - 2020 - Hilo, HI
Tennessee

Ahuna was part of a big contingent of Hawaiian players at the event and he showed high level athleticism in the middle infield while running a 6.87 sixty and showing plenty of left handed bat speed. He is a Kansas commit.

Cole Bramhall  RHP - 2020 - Tucson, AZ
New Mexico

Bramhall has a projectable and athletic 6-2/175 build and a fast right arm. He was up to 88 mph from a simple and repeatable low effort delivery and showed good feel and spin for his curveball. There is some real ceiling there if he can continue to get stronger.

Safea Mauai  1B - 2020 - Hilo, HI
Hawaii

Mauai has a well proportioned 6-1/235 build with outstanding present strength. He's a left handed hitter with big lift and juice to the middle of the field and is going to hit some home runs at the next level. He's committed to his home state U. Hawaii.

Nick Salas  SS - 2020 - Bakersfield, CA
Cal State Bakersfield

Salas has a nice range of tools, including 6.9 speed in the sixty and the athleticism and body control to play the middle infield at the next level, most likely at second base. He swings a strong right handed bat with some power as well as hard line drive contact.

Christopher Fleckstein  LHP - 2020 - Torrance, CA
Sonoma State

Fleckstein showed very good command of a lively 80-82 mph fastball but his best pitch was an outstanding curveball that he threw between 66 and 72 mph and varied the shape on with maturity. Hitters had no chance against his hammer and he threw it for strikes.

Griffen Chewning  SS - 2020 - Phoenix, AZ
South Mountain CC

Chewning had one of the best pure swings we saw all weekend, with ideal sequencing and plenty of present bat speed. He has polished second base tools on defense with the athleticism to stay at that position at the next level.

Aidan Schultz  RHP - 2020 - Loveland, CO
Uncommitted

Schultz has a nice 6-2/180 build with some strength and room for more. He worked up to 85 mph with his fastball from an over the top arm slot and showed advance feel for an upper 60's curveball with tight spin and bite.

Alexander (AJ) Kostic  1B - 2020 - Surprise, AZ
Central Michigan/Wharton County Junior College

Kostic is a very well rounded player who doesn't have a dominant tool or skill but who plays multiple positions well and swings a nice right handed bat. At 6-2/175, he has plenty of room to get stronger and bump his tools up another level.

Colin Lehmann  1B - 2020 - Lake Barrington, IL
Uncommitted

Lehmann is an extra strong right handed hitter who did nothing but square up baseballs with power all weekend. His line drive home run over the right centerfield fence on Saturday was one of the highlights of the showcase.

Ben Click  C - 2020 - Chandler, AZ
Uncommitted

Click was one of the standout defensive players at the showcase, with advanced receiving skills and lots of athletic quickness behind the plate.

2021 Top Prospects

Brayan Espinoza  SS - 2021 - Nogales, AZ
Uncommitted

Espinoza showed outstanding infield actions and tools, with solid present arm strength that projects well. His right handed swing is strong with a line drive swing plane and enough bat speed to drive the gaps.

Oliver Bolduc  3B - 2021 - Castle Rock, CO
Uncommitted

Bolduc is a projectable young athlete with a strong right handed swing that projects lots of future power. He profiles as a third baseman in the future with a strong arm that is already up to 83 mph off the mound.

Nick Hill  3B - 2021 - Lakewood, CA
Cisco Junior College

Hill is a 6-2/180 infielder whose best tool is his right handed bat speed and power potential, as the ball really comes off the barrel well when he squares it up.

Connor Tallakson  C - 2021 - Irvine, CA
Uncommitted

Tallakson is a two-way prospect with a wide range of tools on a strong 5-10/180 catcher's frame. He showed advanced skills both offensively and defensively along with the arm strength to throw 78/1.98 from behind the plate and 85 mph from the mound.

Chase Dabbs  LHP - 2021 - Redlands, CA
St. Mary's

Dabbs is a very athletic southpaw who was up to 83 mph from a low 3/4's arm slot with lots of running action on his fastball that made him very effective against right handed hitters. He also ran a 7.03 sixty and showed potential next level bat speed at the plate.

Jessie Perez  C - 2021 - Taylorsville, UT
Uncommitted

Perez has a middle infielder's body but uses that quickness and athleticism very well behind the plate defensively. He has a smooth and loose right handed swing with good bat speed and some surprising strength at contact.

Chandler Reber  OF - 2021 - St George, UT
Brigham Young

Reber showed high end speed with a 6.63 sixty and lots of range and athleticism in the outfield. His right handed swing is loose and strong with nice extension and some present bat speed.

Cade Westerlund  C - 2021 - Chandler, AZ
Yavapai College

Westerlund is a very strong sophomore with a 6-1/205 build. He's a arm strength/bat strength player with and 80 mph arm behind the plate and 85 mph fastball on the mound to go with a loud right handed bat.

Ryan Pehrson  RHP - 2021 - Southlake, TX
Northern Kentucky/Wharton County Junior College

Pehrson showed three solid pitches in a fastball that reached 83 mph, a nice curveball with some depth and a tumbling change up. He has pitchability and command well beyond his years and has the body type to keep getting stronger.

2022 Top Prospects

Jordan Lewis  OF - 2022 - Pleasanton, CA
Santa Clara

Lewis was one of the younger players at the event but that did not stop him from showcasing a skillset that is extremely advanced and still developing. His 89 mph throw from the outfield was the event's best over the weekend and he combined that arm strength with raw bat speed and a gap to gap approach at the plate.

Dillon Orr  RHP - 2022 - Waddell, AZ
Tennessee

Orr has a big and strong 6-3/188 build for a freshman and a smooth, low effort delivery that enables him to repeat his delivery and fill up the strike zone. He was up to 83 mph on his fastball with a big breaking upper 60's curveball.

Bryson Hoier  OF - 2022 - Paso Robles, CA
Loyola Marymount

Hoier is a very good all around athlete who has a chance to develop either as an infielder or outfielder on defense. His best present tools and skills are at the plate, with a strong right handed swing that shows some present bat speed and lots of projection.

Jared Lewis  SS - 2022 - Pleasanton, CA
Southern California

Along with his brother Jordan, Lewis was one of the standouts in the infield both during drills and during game action. His actions are clean and advanced for his age showing quick-twitch movements throughout the weekend both moving to his armside and glove side.

Colten Vargas  OF - 2022 - North Richland Hills, TX
Uncommitted

Vargas has lots of growing to do but he has present athleticism and lots of physical projection. He's a primary outfielder now but has the tools to become a high level middle infielder in the future and should prioritize playing the infield.
