2019 Top Prospects

Jared Gadd  SS - 2019 - Lexington, KY
Xavier

The Lexington native flashed impressive tools throughout the weekend posting a 6.65 sixty-yard dash and topping at 85 miles per hour across the infield. Offensively, the 2019 grad generates very good bat speed through the zone that produces excellent jump off the barrel to all fields. Gadd also flashed some potential on the mound working his fastball up to 88 miles per hour while changing speed with a sharp breaking ball.

Eli Winkler  OF - 2019 - Cox'S Creek, KY

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound outfielder posted a 6.80 sixty-yard dash and showed very smooth, polished actions defensively. At the plate, the uncommitted prospect utilized a fluid swing path with the barrel control to handles pitches to all parts of the zone. With continued development, Winkler projects to be a high level defender and offensive producer.

Tyler Schlick  RHP - 2019 - Brooklyn Heights, OH

Schlick, an Ohio native, showed good raw arm speed while on the mound producing heavy running action to a fastball that topped at 85 miles per hour. The 2019 grad has some effort to his delivery that created good deception to hitters. Schlick flashed very good swing and miss potential with a curveball offering that generated late, hard depth to the bottom of the zone.

Kyle Duffey  RHP - 2019 - Norman, OK

The 6-foot-5 right handed pitcher out of Oklahoma created heavy downhill plane through the zone with a fastball that topped at 85 miles per hour. The 2019 grad consistently located to the bottom of the zone and changed speed with a 11/5 to near 12/6 breaking ball.

Louie Kessinger  SS - 2019 - Lexington, KY
Reinhardt University

Kessinger showed very fluid, clean actions defensively from the infield with extended range to each side. The 2019 grad continuously made very good plays while on the run and shows the skill set to stay in the middle of the field at the next level. At the plate, Kessinger employed a high contact, line drive approach with the ability to drive the ball to all fields with ease.

Steven Snelbaker  OF - 2019 - Hebron, KY

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound outfielder showed athletic tools and hustle all over the field throughout the weekend. Snelbaker created good angles to the baseball in the outfield that allowed him to cover excellent ground to each gap. Offensively, the uncommitted prospect generated very good bat speed through extension with excellent leverage. Consistently struck the baseball with authority including a home run to deep left field in game play.

Chad Heiner  RHP - 2019 - Huntington, WV
Marshall

The West Virginia native displayed good arm speed for his 5-foot-10 frame topping at 85 miles per hour. Heiner generated good running action to arm side and consistently missed barrels producing weak contact. The 2019 prospect will be an intriguing follow as he continues to develop his breaking ball and command for the edges of the plate.


2020 Top Prospects

Bryce Behmer  C - 2020 - Lancaster, PA
North Carolina State

The University of Kentucky commit showed quick actions behind the plate popping a 1.89 in defensive workouts. The 2020 grad displayed good leverage in his swing with the ability to turn the barrel to contact with authority. Behmer created hard, loud contact throughout the weekend and projects for additional pop with continued development.

JT Benson  OF - 2020 - Crestwood, KY
Louisville

The University of Louisville commit posted a 6.86 sixty yard dash and displayed mature, polished actions defensively in the outfield. The 5-foot-11 prospect flashed good strength at contact paired with a balanced approach. When squared, Benson possesses the present bat speed to drive the baseball through each outfield gap with ease.

Ethan Beierle  RHP - 2020 - Louisville, KY

The 6-foot-2 outfielder displayed good arm strength with carry to the bag at 85 miles per hour. Offensively, Beierle employed a simple line drive approach and showed the feel for the barrel to work to all fields.


2021 Top Prospects

Aries Samek  SS - 2021 - Teaneck, NJ
Florida Southwestern State College

The 2021 New Jersey native showed excellent arm strength across the infield setting an new event record at 93 miles per hour. Offensively, Samek displayed good bat speed and barrel whip while aggressively throwing the bat head to contact. Generated loud contact when squared with tight back spin off to barrel to each gap.

Aidan Stewart  SS - 2021 - Wetumpka, AL
Seminole State College

The 6-foot-5, 175-pound shortstop has a very projectable frame that will continue to add strength while maintaining athleticism. Stewart showed the ability to make tough plays while on the run and topped at 89 miles per hour across the infield in defensive workouts. Offensively, the uncommitted prospect utilized a naturally lifted barrel plane that generated tight back spin off the barrel with carry when squared. The 2020 grad also displayed a high ceiling while on the mound topping at 85 miles per hour with a loose, quick arm through extension.


2022 Top Prospects

Nolan Schubart  OF - 2022 - Durand, MI
Oklahoma State

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound right handed pitcher shows a very projectable build while on the mound. Schubart generated good downhill angle through the zone with a fastball that jumped out of his hand well topping at 84 miles per hour. The 2020 grad showed advanced feel for a changeup offering that consistently kept hitters off balance.
