2023 Top Prospects

Christopher Mata  SS - 2023 - Wailuku, HI

Mata got some buzz during the event throwing 91-mph from the outfield, 89-mph on the infield, ran the heater up to 87-mph on the mound, and ran a 6.65 in the sixty. His actions project defensively, he spun a good breaking ball, and he has twitch in the wrists offensively.

Nathynn Alvaro  3B - 2023 - Mililani, HI

Alvaro ran a 7.06 in the sixty yard dash and showed good actions at both infield and outfield. His 86-ext velocity translated well during BP as he found a lot of line drives during his workout.

Micah Soque  OF - 2023 - Honolulu, HI

Soque has a good swing with power potential and displayed that routinely during drills. He has a heavy barrel and should end up lifting with authority. He ran a 7.24 and should get faster as he matures.

Shayde Koga  SS - 2023 - Kailua, HI

Koga threw 81 across the diamond and ran a 7.22 in the sixty yard dash. He has soft hands on the dirt to go with the solid arm. He also found the barrel well and then jumped on the mound showing three pitches for strikes and ran the fastball up to 80-mph.

2024 Top Prospects

Trey Shimabukuro  OF - 2024 - Kihei, HI

Shimabukuro ran a 6.60 in the sixty and has fluid actions with a mature approach in the outfield. The lean frame project for more pop on the offensive side.

Javin Hamura  SS - 2024 - Honolulu, HI

Hamura has a quick first step on the infield with really good actions and the ability to throw from multiple angles allowing his solid arm to play on the left side. He has a good hit tool and mature all fields approach.

Kaohu Kawelu  IF - 2024 - Hilo, HI

Kawelu posted an 86-mph exit velocity and it played during BP as he drove the ball well with good timing and consistency. The arm should develop enough to stay on the left side giving him an interesting profile.

Jacob Harris  C - 2024 - Honolulu, HI

Harris is an athletic catcher popping sub 2.0 pop times during drills while running a solid 7.33 in the sixty. The compact catch and throw skills stand out and there is plenty of upside in the bat.

Trevor Kagawa  OF - 2024 - Ewa Beach, HI

Kagawa ran a 6.95 in the sixty and took good angles in the outfield, He has a contact oriented stroke and should be able to disrupt on the base paths.

2025 Top Prospects

Laakea Correa  LHP - 2025 - Ewa Beach, HI

Greyson Osbun  RHP - 2025 - Mililani, HI

Osburn impressed in all aspects of his workout. He ran a 7.06 in the sixty and impressed with his defensive versatility in both the infield and outfield. He also has really quick hands and was in attack mode with the bat. He can pitch too.

Taj Uyehara  C - 2025 - Wahiawa, HI

Nicholas Nashiwa  C - 2025 - Kahului, HI
