2022 Top Prospects

Kendall Lyons  RHP - 2022 - Gurnee, IL
University of Illinois-Chicago

Lyons was dominant in this one, sitting 87-89 mph with the fastball and commanding a four pitch mix. His curveball and slider were impressive, showing sharp and late break. There is plenty to project on, given his frame and arm speed, and he will make an immediate impact at the next level.

Dylan Bass  OF - 2022 - Northbrook, IL
Plattsburgh State University of New York

Bass is a strong and athletic prospect that put up some big numbers in this one, recording a 96 mph exit velocity and throwing 87 mph from both the outfield and the mound. His tools project well moving forward.


2023 Top Prospects

Adam Behrens  RHP - 2023 - Lake Villa, IL
Arizona State

Behrens was dominant on the mound in this event, working his fastball up to 90 mph with arm speed and a projectable frame. He has a full three-pitch mix and looks the part of a high-level college prospect.

Colin Miller  RHP - 2023 - Gilberts, IL
Illinois State

Miller has good size with lots of projection remaining, and he ran his fastball up to 89 mph with good arm speed and finish. He also showed good feel to spin the breaker and flashed a solid changeup as well.

Kade Schneider  OF - 2023 - South Barrington, IL
Southeastern CC

Schneider has a very intriguing set of tools and physicality, a sub-7.00 runner with fantastic size and big time power from both sides of the plate. The upside here is very high, and he's got a very strong twitch/power profile overall.

Hank Liss  RHP - 2023 - Evanston, IL
Belmont

Liss pounded the strike zone in this event, sitting in the 82-85 mph range with his fastball and absolutely filling it up with the heater. He mixes in a curveball with good vertical bite and the makings of a solid slider as well.

Troy Vosburgh  SS - 2023 - Oswego, IL

Vosburgh was clocked up to 89 mph from the outfield and projects to potentially handle all 3 OF spots at the next level, in addition to possessing a sweet swing with lots of bat speed and serious gap-to-gap impact.

Sam Rohlfing  3B - 2023 - Hoffman Estates, IL

Rohlfing has a good all-around game with some two-way ability. He's clean in the infield with good feet and hands, shows the ability to handle the bat well while using the whole field, and was up to 80 mph on the mound with some deception.

Jack Buckalew  RHP - 2023 - Monticello, IL

Buckalew's arm strength stood out on the mound, running his fastball up to 84 mph and holding in the 82-84 mph range throughout. He mixed in both a curveball and slider with good feel for both.

Ryan Quinlan  MIF - 2023 - Huntley, IL

Quinlan has impressive physical strength and it shows up in his swing, generating very good bat speed and the ability to hammer baseballs to all fields. His exit velo clocked up to 95 mph, a very impressive figure off a tee with wood.

Seth Winkler  SS - 2023 - Saint Charles, IL

Winkler has solid defensive tools in a couple spots, with the arm strength to play both the outfield and the middle infield as well as the athleticism necessary for both. His swing is quick and compact and does a nice job of spraying contact to all fields.


2024 Top Prospects

Joey Spano Jr.  SS - 2024 - Erie, PA
Pittsburgh

Spano Jr. ran an event-best 6.94 second sixty yard dash, along with throwing 82 mph across the diamond and recording an 88 mph exit velocity. He is a true, all-around player with high upside, showing good twitch to his actions with an extremely quick bat. His skillset is loud on both sides of the ball, and his game projects very well moving forward.

Colin Ryder  1B - 2024 - South Elgin, IL
Southwestern Illinois College

Ryder put his immense power potential on full display in this one, as he destroyed a ball to deep left-field during game action. He stands at an imposing 6-foot-6, 210-pounds, and he creates tons of leverage when getting on time and extended.

David Cox  SS - 2024 - Oak Brook, IL
University of Illinois-Chicago

Cox has large, 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame but still has plenty of quickness and athleticism to his game. He took a clean round at SS and threw it across the diamond at 86 mph. At the plate, he recorded a 91 mph exit velocity and showed present barrel control during game action.

Alexander Clark  OF - 2024 - Glencoe, IL

Clark took a good round of outfield work during the defensive evaluations, showing present athleticism with good twitch and smoothness to his actions. He has solid tools on the offensive side as well, showing plenty of bat speed in his left-handed swing.

Zachary Pyles  3B - 2024 - Oak Harbor, WA

Pyles is another corner infielder who showed immense power potential, as he recorded an event-best 98 mph exit velocity. He has obvious strength present and he made some seriously loud contact during BP, showing the ability to turn the barrel over hard and elevate.


2025 Top Prospects

Nathan ODonnell  RHP - 2025 - New Lenox, IL
Creighton

O'Donnell flashed some legitimate two-way potential, running his fastball up to 82 mph and showing intriguing bat speed. He has four pitches in his arsenal with good action to each, and his arm speed and frame give him big upside moving forward.

Gael Urbieta  C - 2025 - Chicago, IL

Urbieta is a solid defensive catcher with promising offensive upside. He recorded a 2.00 second pop time at 75 mph, and showed real power potential to his pull side. In addition to his strength in the box, he flashed some athleticism in the infield as well, proving that he can play two positions well.

Jimmy Downs  3B - 2025 - Chicago, IL
Northern Illinois

Downs really lit up the radar by recording a 93 mph exit velocity during testing. He has a compact and sturdy build with obvious strength, and he shows plenty of leverage and juice in the bat.


2026 Top Prospects

Ethan Bass  SS - 2026 - Northbrook, IL
Illinois

Bass is an exciting young prospect who is highly advanced for his age. He was impressive in literally every facet of the game in this one. He is smooth and fluid at shortstop with great hands, and his swing is more of the same, showing great rhythm and sync in his upper and lower halves. On the mound, he ran his fastball up to 81 mph and flashed solid arm speed and a lean and projectable frame with plenty of physical development to come.
