Showed high ¾ arm slot with long loose arm action and lots of late movement. FB topped at 86 with smooth and easy mechanics. Solid 10 to 4 slurve with the ability to change speeds well. Very projectable athlete that could easily be throwing in the low 90's next year.

Tall lanky body that produced a short loose arm action with good arm speed. FB topped at 86 with good armside run, and stayed around strike zone. Will be a highest level prospect in the future.

2008 Top Prospects

Justin Leith  LHP - 2008 - Naples, FL   Florida International

Justin is a very polished LHP with tons of upside. Throws from a ¾ slot with a very easy arm action, and clean mechanics. Has a great feel for pitching on the mound, and was able to keep hitters off balance. There is plenty of room to fill out in his frame and add a lot of velocity.
