2006 Top Prospects

Athletic hitter who can play. Best tool is his 91 mph outfield arm. He has quick hands at the plate with very good bat speed. He ran the fastest 60 yard dash at the event at 7.09.

The best defensive player at his position. He showed advanced plus actions defensively. He has a strong athletic body. He has a smooth left-handed swing with plus power.

Jared Hoyt  RHP - 2006 - Bakersfield, CA   Uncommitted

One of the best pitchers at the event. He sat at 86-88 and touched 89. He has a very quick and loose arm. Throws a heavy ball, and has a deceptive change-up with good sink.

Michael Hur  RHP - 2006 - Stevenson Ranch, CA   UC Irvine

Showed good arm strength by throwing 83 mph from the OF and 88 off the mound. Has good bat speed with a very nice approach. Two-way prospect.

Tyler Higgins  SS - 2006 - Villa Park, CA   Uncommitted

Tall, athletic middle infielder with solid arm strength and accuracy. Has good bat speed with a nice short path to the ball. Showed power to all fields.

Ryan Delgado  C - 2006 - Upland, CA   Uncommitted

Best hitting catcher at the event. Has excellent bat speed with plus power. Hit very well in games, including a hard line drive HR. Showed good blocking skills defensively with a 2.00 pop time.

Kellen Lee  C - 2006 - Vista, CA   Uncommitted

Very athletic catcher who can run. Good arm strength from behind the plate at 80 mph with good blocking skills. Strength in swing with good instincts.

Eddie Kado  RHP - 2006 - Scottsdale, AZ   Uncommitted

Tall projectable pitcher. Has smooth mechanics with good extension. Gets good movement on his pitches and works down in the zone. Topped out at 84 mph with more to come.

Athletic switch hitting player who can run. He is a spray hitting lead-off type hitter with solid bat speed. Showed soft hands defensively.

Eric Hillenbrand  OF - 2007 - San Diego, CA   College of Southern Nevada

The best player at the event. He sat at 87-88 and touched 89. He has a loose, strong arm with good command in the zone. Hits very well with raw power and good bat speed.

Austin Romine  C - 2007 - Lake Forest, CA   Arizona State

Best defensive catcher at the event. Flashed a 1.94 pop time with solid 80 mph arm strength. Has a nice swing with good bat speed and power. Topped out at 87 off the mound with sound mechanics and a good slider.

Courtney Morgan  MIF - 2007 - San Diego, CA   Wake Forest

Solid all around player. Swings with good bat speed and good bat path. Solid defensive actions with good 82 mph arm strength from SS.

2009 Top Prospects

Tony Calhoun  SS - 2009 - Temecula, CA   Oklahoma/Howard College

One of the most talented '09 kids in the country. He is very athletic with a very strong arm. He threw 89 from the outfield, and 91 off the mound. His fastball explodes on hitters. Has power at the plate as well.
