2006 Top Prospects

Eric Barclay  OF - 2006 - Oak Ridge, TN   Uncommitted

Showed great speed running a 6.77-60 on a wet track. Eric took a very good bp with a quick bat and good hands. He also threw 84 mph from the OF with online carry and accuracy.

Michael Demperio  2B - 2006 - Atlanta, GA   Texas

Has a great all-around game. He showed some position flexibility at the showcase. Has a very quick first step and great speed underway. He is a line drive hitter who makes consistent contact and has advanced bat control.

Mark Diapoules  RHP - 2006 - Palm City, FL   South Florida

Strong body, nice and easy arm action, heavy fastball topped at 87, late run and sink, good mechanics, hard and tight SL at 77 mph, works quickly with good tempo, induces many groundballs, good stuff, great upside, good student as well.

Mark Fleury  C - 2006 - Roswell, GA   North Carolina

Fleury is a left handed hitting catcher who can get the job done offensively and defensively. 1.84 pop time, threw 77 mph from behind the plate, and has great energy. He has strength in his swing and will hit for average and power.

Cole Franklin  OF - 2006 - Dallas, TX   Uncommitted

Franklin also did very well on the mound and is a two-way prospect. He ran a 6.72-sixty on a wet track, and threw 85 mph from the outfield. There is strength in his swing with raw power, including some HRs during batting practice.

David Harden  RHP - 2006 - Marietta, GA   Mercer

Strong and durable body, clean mechanics, minimal effort, very good control, sharp CB, late life on FB, heavy ball at times, solid secondary pitches, pitchability, maintains velocity, great zip on FB at 88 mph, also a good hitter.

Taylor Hashman  OF - 2006 - Naples, FL   South Florida

Hasham was in the middle of his football season and hadn't swung a bat in 6 weeks. He still showed a quick bat with strength in his swing. Hasham has raw power and will be a run producer at the next level.

Greg Houston  RHP - 2006 - Hoover, AL   Uncommitted

Lean, low 3/4 arm slot, quick arm, compact delivery, heavy sinking FB at 88 mph, induces many ground balls, hides ball well, deceptive delivery, works quickly, sharpness to SL, very aggressive in the zone, good control, great upside.

Cedric Hunter  OF - 2006 - Decatur, GA   Uncommitted

Hunter continues to show why he is one of the top players in the country. He was a little passive at the plate his first two at bats, but was more aggressive after that showing his bat speed and strength. He glides in the outfield.

Chad Jenkins  RHP - 2006 - Canton, GA   Kennesaw State

Strong and durable, good arm action, minimal effort, good control, balanced delivery, pitches off CB, throws CB to both sides of the plate, hard breaking CB, good tempo, FB heavy at times at 88 mph, projectable velocity, also power in his bat.

Matt Kallaoun  3B - 2006 - Marietta, GA   Augusta University

Kallaoun made some outstanding plays at 3B during the showcase games. He has soft hands, body control, nice footwork, and arm strength (83IF). He can also hit with good bat speed and developing power.

Brandon May  SS - 2006 - Marietta, GA   Alabama

May has a quick bat with raw power to all fields. He centers the ball well and can hit it a long ways. He gets great leverage in his swing and will hit for power and average at the next level.

Andy Moye  RHP - 2006 - Alpharetta, GA   Georgia Southern

Lean and athletic, projectable body, solid arm speed, good control, balanced delivery, projectable velocity, sinking action FB at 86 mph, sharp CB with depth, throws CB for strikes, feel for CH, top level pitcher with upside, athleticism on the mound.

Brandon Owens  RHP - 2006 - Conyers, GA   Truett-McConnell University

Athletic build, loose and lively arm, quick arm, good extension, tight CB with good depth, CB is a strikeout pitch, very good run on FB at 86, ability to dominate hitters, good control, also a good hitter with bat speed, shows arm from OF, two-way talent.

Evan Parrish  RHP - 2006 - Portal, GA   Georgia

Lean and athletic, clean arm action, good arm speed, minimal effort, plus control of fastball and curveball, busts 88 FB in on RHH, works FB in and CB away, tight curveball, balanced delivery, nice arm speed on CH, projectable velocity, great upside.

Kody Paul  RHP - 2006 - Brunswick, GA   Kennesaw State

Strong body, durable body, heavy FB at 89, loose and lively arm, cut action FB, very good arm, power pitcher, 11-5 CB with bite, balanced delivery, upside, also a good hitter with a quick bat and raw power, two-way prospect.

Scott Robinson  OF - 2006 - McDonough, GA   University of North Georgia

Robinson has a great frame and continues to improve his all-around game. He ran a 6.88-sixty on a slow track and his speed plays well during the games. Threw 85 from the OF and can handle all OF spots. He can hit with avg. and power.

Andrew Robinson  RHP - 2006 - Senoia, GA   Georgia Tech

Lean and athletic, hadn't pitch in some time but still looked good, clean arm action, minimal effort, good command, balanced delivery, hit 88 but has much more in him, arm side life FB, good secondary pitches, CH was best pitch, tight CB with depth, pitchability, great upside.

Mark Thomas  C - 2006 - Alpharetta, GA   Young Harris College

Another catcher with great offensive and defensive skills. He threw 82 mph from behind the plate with a best 1.81 pop time. Thomas took a great batting practice and hit two home runs during the showcase games.

David Williamson  RHP - 2006 - Columbus, GA   Uncommitted

Nice pitcher's frame, 3/4 arm slot, good arm speed, solid control, 11 to 5 CB, balanced delivery, on-line, velocity improved, late life on FB at 89 mph, upside on the mound, present stuff.

2007 Top Prospects

Charlie Culberson  MIF - 2007 - Rome, GA   Kennesaw State

Very good feet defensively, soft hands, quick release, good arm strength, shows body control, plus defensive MIF, compact swing, quick hands, aggressive hitter, quick bat, strong hands, very good approach, will play at the next level.

Christopher Epps  OF - 2007 - Stone Mountain, GA   Clemson

Athletic body, good bat speed, line drive swing plane, projectable power, good speed, quick first step, covers ground defensively, arm strength from the OF, good run on FB, tight SL, heavy FB, good command, two-way prospect.

NaVarro Hall  OF - 2007 - Kennesaw, GA   Kentucky

Lean and athletic, good speed and quickness, gets down the line well, plus range in the OF, gets to the ball quickly and cuts off balls in the gap, great actions, good bat speed, advanced approach, great bunter, patient hitter, can steal bases.

Jamaal Hawkins  MIF - 2007 - Marietta, GA   Jacksonville

Athletic, good speed, quickness, smooth footwork defensively, soft hands, solid arm, showed range, nice body control, smooth and easy swing, line drive hitter, stays inside ball well, quiet hands, good approach, quick bat, all-around player.

Josh Means  RHP - 2007 - Kennesaw, GA   East Tenn State

Athletic, loose and quick arm, effortless delivery, good extension and finish, plus life on FB in on RHH, filthy CB, heavy FB, ball jumps on hitters and FB is nasty at times, throws strikes, strong arm OF, quick bat, raw power, strength in swing, leverage at contact, great two-way prospect.

Hunter Morris  IF - 2007 - Huntsville, AL   Auburn

Strong body, arm strength, 3B actions, good raw power, quick bat, top level hitter with great upside, playable power, keeps weight back well, middle of the order run producer, will hit for avg. and power at next level, solid speed, plays hard.

Andrew Nettune  C - 2007 - Athens, TX   Texas A&M

Strong body, nice footwork behind the plate, blocks balls well in the dirt, receives well, strong arm, accurate throws, leverage in swing, loads hands well, ball jumps off bat, raw power, good bat speed, crushes fastballs, a must follow.

Matt Simonds  3B - 2007 - Atlanta, GA   Georgia Tech
