American International

Gonzalez excelled with the glove throughout the weekend in the infield, showing a quick first step and balance to his actions with a quick transfer and release. He stays short and compact with his swing, working to all parts of the field with feel for the barrel.

2022 Top Prospects

Dylan Colvin  RHP - 2022 - Media, PA
Uncommitted

Colvin is a loose armed righthander who spun a pair of quality breaking balls in a sharp 12-6 shaped curveball and a hard, late biting slider in the mid-70s. He lived comfortably in the low-80s with his fastball, peaking 84 mph, and projects well moving forward.

Elliot Hamilton  C - 2022 - Glastonbury, CT
Uncommitted

Hamilton has a collection of tools to monitor moving forward, standing out on both sides of the ball. His arm strength is a real tool both across the infield and behind the plate, where he receives well and popped an event best 1.94 in drills. His swing is short and quick, keeping his hands inside the ball while showing some strength at contact.

Alexander Oppenheimer  RHP - 2022 - Westport, CT

Oppenheimer showed off intriguing two-way potential, running his fastball up to 84 mph and got stronger through the outing while mixing a tight breaking ball. His righthanded swign is consistent too, getting the barrel out front well while working on a linear plane with lots of squared contact.

Bayram Hot  3B - 2022 - Sunnyside, NY
Uncommitted

Hot's arm strength is a standout tool, throwing 89 mph across the diamond during drills while showing sound actions and plenty of carry during the games as well. His physical strength plays well in the batter's box with jump off the barrel and strong hands, driving it well when squared.

He's a sound defender at third base as well, adjusting well with his glove while showing solid carry on his throws across the diamond.

Christian De La Cruz  RHP - 2023 - Nyack, NY

De La Cruz showed the biggest fastball of the event, topping out at 87 mph while sitting in the mid-80s with relatively low effort. The fastball jumps out of his hands with a short and fast arm stroke and he turned over a nice changeup that topped out at 80 mph with a similar release and fading life through the zone.
