2020 Top Prospects

Jaylen Paden  RHP - 2020 - Lilburn, GA
Georgia Southern

Paden is an interesting two-way prospect who could really come on if he can get stronger, especially offensively. He has slick middle infield actions defensively, with quick hands and a strong arm, and was up to 90 mph on the mound with a slider/change up combination.

Harrison Aulds  OF - 2020 - Macon, GA
Augusta University

Aulds had the best combination of present tools and skills among the position players. He ran the sixty in 6.89 and threw 89 mph in drills while grading out very well for his fundamentals and footwork. The 5-10/185 right handed hitter also took the best BP of the group and hit the ball hard with line drive contact in games.

Mason Maners  OF - 2020 - Vestavia Hills, AL
Jacksonville State

Maners is a classic left handed hitting leadoff/centerfield type with plus speed and quickness and an idea at the plate. He even bunted twice, once successfully, a showcase rarity while lining the ball gap to gap and using his plus speed to take extra bases.

Daniel Lavoy  C - 2020 - Homestead, FL
Uncommitted

Lavory has all the defensive tools you'd want to see in a next level catcher, with big arm strength, a quick release and high level athleticism in his movements. He has the strength and raw bat speed to hit with some adjustments.

Kenny Lombardo  OF - 2020 - Flemington, NJ
Marist

Lombardo showed the best raw tools at the showcase, running a 6.61 sixty and throwing absolute rockets from the outfield at 94 mph. He has some raw bat speed but has some adjustments to make at the plate to reach his offensive potential.

Garrett Boeckle  RHP - 2020 - Tampa, FL
Northwestern

Boeckle is just returning to the mound a year after TJ surgery and showed his potential in a two-inning outing. He worked steadily in the 86-88 mph range from an over the top arm slot and showed tight power spin to a 74 mph breaking ball.

Tilden Agee  C - 2020 - Tampa, FL
Florida Southern

Agee is a very polished defensive catcher with easy athletic actions behind the plate. He has a simple right handed swing approach that squares up the ball consistently and still has some physical projection left.

Joseph Salvo  C - 2020 - Seabrook Island, SC
Samford

Salvo and Tilden Agee (above) are very similar catchers as strong defenders with polished skills. Salvo showed nice hand strength in his right handed swing when he gets the barrel to the ball and is projectable at the plate.

Dave Mitchum  SS - 2020 - Gainesville, FL
Tallahassee CC

Mitchum has a second baseman's build and actions and some solid strength on his 5-8/165 frame. He ran the sixty in 6.78 and showed a nice and short right handed swing that promises high contact and on-base potential.

Carson Brown  RHP - 2020 - Castle Pines, CO
Utah Valley University

Brown showed nice feel for a fastball that he spotted well on the corners and would throw anywhere from 83 to 88 mph depending on the count and the hitter. His curveball had power and bite and was a pitch he could have used more often.

Riley Hawthorne  SS - 2020 - Collierville, TN
Murray State

Hawthorne's raw tools don't match up with some of his middle infield peers but he is highly skilled and polished while being light on his feet and physically projectable. Another year or two of getting stronger will make the left handed hitter a very solid player.
