2020 Top Prospects

Jordan Gray  RHP - 2020 - Deptford, NJ

Gray has a nice 6-2/175 build that can still gain plenty of strength and a loose arm from a fast paced delivery that provides some deception. He struck out 7 hitters in 3 innings while working with a heavy 84-86 fastball and a hard 74 mph curveball.

Christopher Sparber  C - 2020 - Lincroft, NJ

Sparber is a very strong 6-0/200 athlete with plenty of quick twitch actions for a player with that strength. He has both very good raw bat speed and very good raw arm strength and will keep improving as a player as he learns to slow down the game.

Louis Jordan  3B - 2020 - New York, NY

Jordan was perhaps the most projectable athlete at the showcase, with a 6-2/160 athletic build that looked both taller and stronger in person. He has nice right handed bat speed, middle of the field speed and arm strength and was even up to 85 mph on the mound.

Eli Meredith  OF - 2020 - Philadelphia, PA

Meridith was the fastest player at the event with a 6.64 sixty time and has plenty of quick twitch athleticism that should enable him to play centerfield at the next level. He's a switch-hitter at the plate with better bat speed from the left side.

Joey Thomas  LHP - 2020 - Great Falls, VA

Thomas dominated for 4 innings, striking out 11 hitters and filling up the strike zone with a fastball that topped out at 85 mph and a nice 71 mph curveball. The 6-4/200 southpaw is an excellent student off the field and doesn't have a college commitment yet.

Jarod Abram  RHP - 2020 - Mountainside, NJ

Abram is a big and strong 6-3/225 right hander with a fastball that reaches 85 mph and a quality mid-70's slider that has nice depth to it. He really filled up the strike zone well from a simple and repeatable arm action and delivery.

Andrew Butera  OF - 2020 - Collegeville, PA
Franklin & Marshall

Butera is a strong bodied athlete who is pretty physically mature and has solid baseball tools, including 7.07 speed and an 87 mph throwing arm. He showed gap to gap power from the right side at the plate with the potential for more in the future.

Colin McCunney  C - 2020 - Robbinsville, NJ

McCunney showed next level catching skills between his strong 6-0/205 body and his sound overall actions and tools. He has right handed power potential at the plate when he gets directional and out front in his swing.

Nadell Booker  RHP - 2020 - Somerset, NJ

Booker worked in the 80-83 mph range with his fastball with good extension out front from his long 6-4/205 build. He also threw a hard 75 mph breaking ball that had good depth and tilt to it.

2021 Top Prospects

Matthew Puello  SS - 2021 - New York, NY

Puello looks the part of the top prospect with a young and very projectable 6-1/150 build and he has the tools to back it up. He ran a 6.80 sixty, threw 90 mph from the outfield and was very, very smooth and easy on defense at shortstop in the games.

Travis Garnett  LHP - 2021 - Pasadena, MD

Garnett is a big bodied 6-6/220 left hander with lots of arm strength. He topped out at 88 mph with his fastball and had excellent life on the pitch when he was working in the mid-80's down in the zone. He has a commitment to Maryland.

Tim Nicholson  C - 2021 - Darnestown, MD
George Washington

Nicholson, who is committed to George Washington, was one of the best defensive players at the event, if not the best. He has the athleticism and tools to be a solid Division I catcher with just a little more strength and he even looked like a potential offensive contributor as well.

Ryan Van Buren  RHP - 2021 - Meadowbrook, PA

Van Buren is a 6-2/165 primary pitcher who may have been the top two-way prospect at the event. Along with throwing 84 mph from the mound, he ran a 6.95 sixty, threw 88 mph from the outfield and had plenty of power potential at the plate.

Ranciel Ventura  SS - 2021 - Allentown, PA

If Tim Nicholson (above) was the event's best defensive player, Ventura certainly ranked in the top 3. He has smooth and quick actions at shortstop and really moves through the ball well and gets rid of it quickly.

Matthew Canizares  OF - 2021 - East Elmhurst, NY

Canizares has a young and projectable 5-10/160 build and lots of present baseball tools and athleticism. He ran a 6.97 sixty, threw 88 mph from the outfield and 83 mph from the mound and had one of the smoothest right handed swings at the event.

Brendan Lysik  LHP - 2021 - Waldwick, NJ

Lysik has a big 6-3/195 and an easy delivery that produced a 83 mph fastball and a deep 69 mph curveball. He had good command of all his pitches and has a chance to keep adding velocity, as he was only 77-79 mph last year at this time.

Gavin Martin  3B - 2021 - Bordentown, NJ

Martin is surprisingly athletic for a big 6-2/215 athlete and ran a 7.06 sixty while throwing 86 mph across the diamond in drills. His right handed bat speed was evident at all times, especially in his event high 94 mph exit speed in DK testing.

Sean O'Mara  SS - 2021 - Shrewsbury, NJ

O'Mara showed nice tools in drills, including 6.80 speed and very good right handed bat speed with gap power but his ability and athleticism played up in the games, where he was smooth and polished, especially on defense.

Evan Pravato  SS - 2021 - Warren, NJ

Pravato projects as a speedy top of the order second baseman at the next level if he can get stronger. He's a 6.72 runner who was very good defensively on the move and also showed a high contact bat from the right side of the plate.

Abel Saft  RHP - 2021 - Kintnersville, PA

Saft has an athletic 6-3/175 build that is starting to fill in with some present strength. He gets downhill well on a fastball that topped out at 83 mph and showed good quality to his slider and change up when he got fully out front on release.

Ty Sallie  OF - 2021 - Parsippany, NJ

Sallie is a live bodied middle infielder with 6.89 speed in the sixty and lots of athleticism and next level actions in the middle infield. The quick hands he showed on defense also worked at the plate in creating bat speed.

Jayson Cruz  OF - 2021 - Newark, NJ

Cruz is a big and mature left handed hitter who looks stronger than his 6-0/190 list size. He has very good bat speed with an aggressive approach to the ball and can really make it jump hard to the pull side.

Christian Kegel  C - 2021 - Newtown Square, PA

Kegel is a big and strong 6-4/210 athlete who catches and plays third base but he may have a brighter future on the mound. He was up to 84 mph with good downhill angle and showed the ability to spin the ball and drop his curveball in for strikes.

Malcolm Rohlfing  C - 2021 - New York, NY

Rohlfing is a solid all around athlete for a catcher and has a projectable 6-0/170 frame. He uses that athleticism well behind the plate combined with solid fundamentals and will keep improving as he gets stronger.

Nick Scattareggia  C - 2021 - Watervliet, NY

Scattareggia is a very sound and polished fundamental player on both sides of the ball and his tools played up in games, especially on defense. He plays with energy and looks like he loves to play.

Joe Skapinetz  RHP - 2021 - Far Hills, NJ

Skapinetz has a big and strong 6-4/200 build and a strong arm that reached 84 mph on his fastball with a high percentage of strikes. Improving his curveball release and spin will be a key part of his development.

Jake Whitlinger  MIF - 2021 - Harleysville, PA

Whitlinger is a 5-8/160 spark plug type of player with very good quickness and speed (6.85) and middle infield tools to go with lots of energy on the field. His right handed swing is short and quick and he should be a high average type of hitter.

2022 Top Prospects

Josiah Brown  SS - 2022 - North Plainfield, NJ

Brown is a polished defender in the middle of the field with 7.08 speed and 87 mph arm strength to go with his easy actions. At the plate Brown is a switch-hitter, although he looks pretty new at that skill from the left side of the plate.

Matthew Phillips  1B - 2022 - Norfolk, VA

Phillips big tool is his left handed bat and it really played big in games, especially on Sunday when he barreled up three balls very hard, including two deep drives that both ended up as ground rule doubles.

John Vitucci  OF - 2022 - Staten Island, NY

The left handed Vitucci's best tool is his speed and he ran 6.72 in the sixty. He profiles as a top of the order centerfielder whose tools should continue to grow as he gets stronger physically.

Brandon Peterson  SS - 2022 - Utica, NY

The 5-10/170 Peterson has good strength for a 2022 middle infielder, especially in his lower half, which enables him to move quickly and smoothly through balls in the middle infield. He has a high contact swing at the plate and consistently barreled up balls all weekend.

2023 Top Prospects

Mark Gialluisi  C - 2023 - Westfield, NJ

Gialluisi is a very talented defensive catcher for his age and has all the ingredients you want to see, including lots of energy behind the plate, that you want to see in a potential next level catcher. He's strong enough to have some present bat speed at the plate as well.

Joseph McMannis  RHP - 2023 - Emmitsburg, MD

McMannis has a nice 6-2/180 pitcher's build and a loose and whippy arm from an extended 3/4's arm slot. He topped out at 80 mph on his fastball with plenty more velocity there as he matures physically and showed some spin on a 70 mph curveball.
