David Bishop (2021 SS, Marietta, GA) singled and doubled on the day for the col. blue team today. Bishop has a patient approach at the plate showing good pitch recognition and has bat speed. 

Ian Flores (2020 1B/LHP, Augusta, GA) sat 80-84mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 70mph. Flores does a good job of hiding the ball in his delivery with a good arm action and the ball gets on hitters quick. 

Austin Roberts (2020 C, Newnan, GA)singled in his first two at bats of the day today. Roberts has a line drive swing plane with a confident approach at the plate and shows bat speed.

Adriel Zermeno (2021 C, Friendswood, TX) doubled and singled in the game fo the gray team today. Zermeno has bat speed with pop in his bat and drives the ball to the gaps.

Chay Yeager (2021 SS/RHP, Fayetteville, GA) sat 81-85mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 72mph. Yeager has a short arm action, attacks hitters early in the count and mixes in his curveball well.

Dylan Carmouche (2020 LHP/1B, Denham Springs, LA) doubled in his second at bat of the day today. Carmouche showed a sound approach at the plate with a smooth swing, driving the ball to the gap for his double. 

Thomas Rollauer (2021 SS/RHP, Atlanta, GA) sat 82-84mph on his fastball mixing in his slider at 71mph. Rollauer did a good job of attacking hitters with his fastball and mixing in both his pitches. 

Dylan Koontz (2021 3B/RHP, Huntersville, NC) sat 82-85mph on his fastball mixing in his changeup at 75mph. Koontz does a good job of missing barrels and gets ahead early in the count. 

Davis Green (2022 OF, Blackshear, GA) hit the ball hard all day today including doubling in his first at bat. Green has a compact swing, while showing good speed and instincts on the bases. 

Justin Smith (2020 2B, Macon, GA) singled twice this afternoon. Smith showed the ability to make consistent contact at the plate with a level swing and hustles down the line.

Andrew Ruggeri (2022 LHP/OF, McLean, VA) doubled in his first at bat of the day today. Ruggeri has a smooth swing and did a good job of turning on an inside pitch for his double.

Cole Cote (2019 C, Welland, ON) singled twice this weekend. Cote has a level swing with an aggressive approach at the plate and made consistent contact all weekend. 

Colin Wheeler (2022 C, Hamlet, NC) doubled in his last at bat of the morning. Wheeler has a nice easy swing and does a good job of hitting the ball where it's pitched. 

TayShaun Walton (2023 OF/RHP, Emporia, VA) had a good showing at the plate today. Walton has tons of bat speed with the ability to square the ball up. On the mound Walton had his fastball top out at 82mph with a curveball at 70mph. 

Brody Meeks (2020 OF/RHP, Marietta, GA) sat 82-86mph on his fastball this afternoon mixing in his curveball at 75mph. Meeks has sound mechanics on the plate with a repeatable delivery and is aggressive with his fastball. 

Maurice Gomez (2020 OF, Acworth, GA) reached based twice today including singling in his first at bat of the day. Gomez has a confident approach at the plate with bat speed and made consistent hard contact today. 

9- Purple Vs. 11- Royal highlights

Darrell Johnson (2020 OF, Douglasville, GA) singled and doubled in the game for the purple team today. Johnson has a nice compact swing with bat speed and the ball jumps off his bat. 

John Combs II (2021 C, Spring City, TN) doubled in his last at bat of the day today. Combs II does a good job of getting his hands through on inside pitches and showed an aggressive approach at the plate. 

Tyler Brooks (2020 3B, Gainesville, GA) doubled in his final at bat of the day as well. Brooks showed the ability to consistently square the ball up at the plate and has a fluid swing.  

Ethan Masson (2022 2B, Southern Pines, NC) singled and doubled on the day for the purple team today. Masson does a good job of hitting the ball where it's pitched, has a line drive swing plane and made hard consistent contact today. 

Skyler Thellman (2021 SS, Gainesville, GA) doubled and singled in the game for the Royal team today. Thellman has a nice easy swing with quick wrists and showed good instincts on the bases.

Cruz Mullinix (2022 LHP/1B, Toccoa, GA) singled in his first and third at bats of the day today. Mullinix showed a confident approach at the plate, consistently making contact and has a easy swing.

Michael Kluska (2020 SS, White Sulphur Springs, WV) doubled in his second at bat of the day. Kluska showed good speed on the bases with good instincts and hits the ball where it's pitched.

Rhett Davis (2021 C, Rochelle, GA) singled in his first and last at bats of the day. Davis has a sound approach at the plate with a smooth swing and showed bat speed.

Jake Willis (2021 C/RHP, Thomaston, GA) doubled in his second at today for the Green team today. Willis has a line drive swing plane with bat speed and drove the ball to the LCF gap for his double. On the mound Willis topped out at 83mph this morning mixing in his curveball at 67mph. Willis has late hard bite to his curveball with life on his fastball. 

Matt Small (2020 SS, Alpharetta, GA) had a good showing defensively today. Small showed quick lateral agility with soft hands and an accruate arm across the infield.

Rossman Diaz (2020 C, Macon, GA) singled twice this morning for the green team. Diaz has a confident approach at the plate with a level swing and displayed bat speed.

Antwan Walton (2021 RHP, Emporia, VA) sat 82-86mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 65mph. Walton pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with an online delivery. Walton showed good depth to his curveball and kept his fastball down in zone.   

Caleb Logerwell (2021 3B/RHP, McDonough, GA) sat 85-89mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 79mph. Logerwell throws a heavy fastball and uses his lower half really well.

Fernando Gonzalez (2020 C, Acworth, GA) made hard contact all day while singling in his last at bat. Gonzalez showed bat speed with a level swing plane and consistently squared the ball up at the plate today. Behind the plate Gonzalez is a good receiver with a quick transfer and likes to show off his arm. 

Harrison Aulds (2020 OF/RHP, Macon, GA) doubled twice this morning for the gold team today. Aulds drove the ball to the LCF gap showing bat speed with an ability to drive the baseball. On the mound Aulds topped out at 83mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 69mph and his changeup at 71mph. He has life to his fastball, works quick on the mound and throws all 3 of his pitches for strikes. 

Carson Peggins (2021 1B, Roanoke, VA) doubled in his second at bat of the day today. Peggins has a confident approach at the plate with a good swing.

Barrett Barkley (2021 RHP/1B, Macon, GA) doubled in his first at bat of the day for the gold team. Barkley has a quick bat with leverage in his swing and drove the ball to the LCF gap for his double. 

Rhett Hammontree (2020 SS/RHP, Cohutta, GA) sat 81-85mph on his fastball with his slider at 79mph. Hammontree should sound mechanics on the mound with a smooth repeatable delivery. Hammontree did a good job of hitting his spots and has late break to his slider.  

Sunshine Southeast BP Highlights

TayShaun Walton (2023 OF, Emporia, VA): Walton stood out in a big way throughout the day on Saturday, including during BP, where he continuously got the barrel out, squared the ball up, and showed some serious jump and carry to the contact. 

Henry Jamieson (2019 3B, St. Simons Island, GA): A Bates College-committed senior, Jamieson showed good ability to get his front foot down on time and bring the barrel around with authority, peppering the outfield with liners to all fields. 

Jake Cothran (2020 LHP, Inman, SC): Cothran took a nice round of BP, showing smoothness to his stroke with the ability to get the head out on time and barrel the ball up with good carry to all fields.

Dwight Allen (2020 OF, Milton, GA): Allen took one of the better rounds of the day, with a smooth, repeatable swing that produced hard contact consistently with good carry, including a bomb to left-center field later in the round. 

Stone McKnight (2021 OF, Mableton, GA): McKnight has advanced strength and it shows in his swing, as he did an excellent job consistently getting the ball into the air and driving it, especially towards the big part of the ballpark in center field. 

Mason Cooper (2021 C, Jefferson, GA): Cooper does an excellent job getting the barrel on plane and out front, where he made consistent barreled contact with jump off, working to all fields and taking a very professional round. 

Jake Willis (2021 C, Thomaston, GA): Willis showed really good contact skills, using very fast hands and advanced feel for the barrel to spray hard liners everywhere, and he projects well for power with additional strength as well. 

Theo Bryant (2019 OF, Conley, GA): An uncommitted senior, Bryant showed off excellent hitting tools with a loose, whippy swing that makes hard contact out front and pretty quality power, as he did drive the ball well including a BP HR during his round. 

Cameron Foster (2020 SS, Douglasville, GA): Foster took one of the best BP rounds of the day, showing off an outstanding combo of present bat speed/strength and projection, driving the ball all over the yard with authority including going out a few times. 

Andrew Ruggeri (2022 LHP, McLean, VA): Ruggeri is a primary arm but has things to like with the bat as well, driving the ball on a line pull side and up the middle consistently with a loose swing and quick hands. 

Dylan Koontz (2021 3B, Huntersville, NC): Koontz has very projectable strength and bat speed, showing good whip to the barrel through the zone, squaring the ball up out front, and doing a nice job of working to all fields. 

Mason Malone (2020 RHP, Waverly, TN): Malone has had a very good all-around showcase including with the bat, where he showed an advanced feel for driving the ball back through the middle with excellent jump on a line. 

Joshua Braxton (2022 OF, Columbia, MD): Braxton's round was highlighted by the quickness of his hands, which stand out immediately and allow for him to get the barrel out front on time and really impact the ball to all fields. 

Tyler Brooks (2020 3B, Gainesville, GA): Brooks showed good ability to make hard contact, as he did a nice job getting the head out on a linear path and hitting the ball hard on a line as a result, which he did consistently. 

Josh Tate (2022 SS, Fayetteville, GA): Tate has one of the better pure swings of the event and gets his lower half involved well, consistently finding hard barrel to all fields on a line, projecting for power as he gets stronger. 

Cade Watson (2020 LHP, Santa Rosa Beach, FL): Watson showed a good combo of bat speed and leverage off of his front side, consistently barreling up liners and showing good juice up the pull side gap as well. 

Jesse Robinson (2021 OF, Henrico, VA): Robinson showed off some of the louder raw power of the event, consistently driving the ball in the air pull side, hitting several out, including one way out over the high wall in left field. 

Parker Ingram (2021 MIF, Gray, GA): Ingram made consistently hard line drive contact with very good bat speed and good lower half usage in his swing, and he projects well in terms of power also.
 
Harrison Aulds (2020 OF, Macon, GA): Aulds showed off serious strength and bat speed, routinely squaring up the ball with real authority and driving it on a line with good jump and carry. 

Zachary Thomas (2021 3B, Jesup, GA): Thomas' intent is to drive the ball in the air with authority, which he does well when squared up, including nearly hitting the ball out several times. 

David Bishop (2021 SS, Marietta, GA): Bishop has lots of projection remaining on his frame and the bat speed/hands combo to give him big offensive upside, as he already shows very good feel for the barrel with good gap pop. 

Hunter Donaldson (2020 SS, Salem, AL): Donaldson has had a very loud overall event and continued that in BP, as he continuously drove the ball into the air with authority, going way out to the pull side several times. 

Johnny Blake Jr (2020 OF, Lawrenceville, GA): Blake took a professional round of BP, getting the barrel out on time on a line drive plane and smoking the ball back through the middle and up the pull side gap. 

Will Tynes (2020 RHP, Bossier City, LA): Tynes was very good on the mound as a primary pitcher, but also took a loud BP with fast hands and good pop, driving the ball into the air and showing HR power pull side. 

Brock Jacobs (2021 RHP, Central, SC): Jacobs has nice two-way upside including his abilities on the mound, but in BP he showed a whole-field approach with good bat speed and plate coverage, finding hard barrels to all fields. 


11-Royal vs. 12-White Highlights

5/18/2019

Will Tynes (2020 RHP, Bossier City, LA): Tynes started the game for the White team and was very good, working his sinking fastball up to 88 mph and throwing both a sharp slider and big-breaking curveball for strikes. He struck out 5 over 3 innings. 

Brock Jacobs (2021 RHP, Central, SC): Jacobs showed off impressive arm strength, running his fastball up to 84 mph and showing feel for a big-breaking curveball with some bite. He did a good job throwing strikes. 

Skyler Thellman (2021 SS, Gainesville, GA): Thellman had a very nice offensive day, collecting two doubles including a missile up the left-center field gap, showing solid bat speed and strength in the process. 

Michael Kluska (2020 SS, White Sulphur Springs, WV): Kluska picked up a pair of base hits in this one, showed off his wheels in the process with several steals, and the whole had an athletic, impactful day. 

Vance Honeycutt (2021 SS, Salisbury, NC): Honeycutt smoked a ball back through the middle and also showed off his wheels, consistently proving to be a threat on the basepaths by swiping several bags. 

Ben Buchman (2021 C, Chapel Hill, NC): Buchman showed off his hitting skills in this one, working a pair of singles into his day and showing off the athleticism and instincts on the bases as well. 

Mason Murdock (2022 RHP, Kannapolis, NC): Murdock has advanced size and strength for his grade, and he showed it on the mound, running his fastball up to 83 mph and working in both a breaker and changeup to the tune of 6 strikeouts in 3 innings. 

9- Purple Vs. 10- Red Highlights

Amir Streeter (2022 OF, Lithonia, GA) tripled in his last at bat of the game today. Streeter has a quiet approach at the plate and showed speed on the bases. 

Brenden Matthews (2020 1B, Douglasville, GA) finished the game with three straight singles. Matthews showed a confident approach at the plate with bat speed and consistently made solid contact.

Ethan Masson (2022 2B, Southern Pines, NC) singled three of the four times he came up to bat today. Masson has a smooth swing with a sound approach at the plate and hits the ball to all fields. 

Evan Kehren (2021 LHP/1B, Buford, GA) topped out at 83mph on his fastball today mixing in his curveball at 69mph and his changeup at 72mph. Kehren has a good balanced delivery with a short arm action. He did a good job of keeping his curveball down in the zone and has life to his fastball. had 3 hits today including doubled in his first at bat. Kehren has a quick bat with the ability to consistently square the ball up. 

Austin Slate (2020 OF, Villa Rica, GA) doubled in the game for the Red team today. Slate did a good job getting his hands through on an inside pitch for his double.

Aden Hill (2022 SS, Mechanicsville, MD) tripled in his second at bat of the day today. Hill showed good barrel skills with bat speed.

Jaylen Dickey (2020 C, Powder Springs, GA) doubled in his first at bat this afternoon. Dickey showed good instincts the bases with pop in his bat.

Brett Barfield (2022 LHP, Cumming, GA) topped out at 85mph this afternoon on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 68mph and his changeup at 63mph. Barfield has a smooth delivery with good balance on the mound has a good demeanor. Barfield did a good job of mixing his pitches in keeping hitters off-balance and has arm side run to his fastball.

Heath Clevenger (2021 RHP, Alpharetta, GA) sat 81-85mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 70mph and his changeup at 74mph. Clevenger has a long arm action with good extension on the mound. Clevenger showed a good feel for his curveball with sharp bite and does a good job of maintaining his arm speed on his changeup.

TayShaun Walton (2023 OF, Emporia, VA) had two hits today including doubling in his second at bat. Walton has a nice compact swing with bat speed and consistently squared the ball up today. 

Devin Tallington (2022 OF, Lithonia, GA) tripled in his first at bat of the day today. Tallington has a line drive swing plane with a confident approach at the plate.  

Brady Pendley (2022 RHP/MIF, Dalton, GA) doubled in his first at bat of the day today. Pendley has pop in his bat and is a gap to gap hitter. 

Connor Haynes (2022 OF, Dunwoody, GA) also doubled in his first at bat of the day today. Haynes makes hard loud contact at the plate with bat speed. 

Cole Cote (2019 C, Welland, ON) doubled in his first at bat of the afternoon. Cote drove the ball to the RCF gap showing a confident approach at the plate. 

Dylan Carmouche (2020 LHP/OF, Denham Springs, LA) sat 81-87mph with his fastball topping 88mph pairing it with his curveball at 73mph and his changeup at 73mph. Carmouche pitches from a variety of arm angles while staying online in his delivery. Carmouche did a good job of filling up the strike zone with a changeup that has good sink to it. At the plate Carmouche doubled and singled in his at bats today. Carmouche has a quick barrel with a smooth swing and makes hard consistent contact.  

Jimmy Shetzler (2022 RHP, Kernersville, NC) sat 82-86mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 72mph and a changeup at 78mph. Shetzler showed good arm speed on the mound pitching from a high 3/4 arm slot doing a good job of staying online on the mound. Shetzler showed good depth to his curveball and threw it for strikes. 

Grey Taylor (2021 C, Brookhaven, GA) singled in 3 of his 4 at bats today. Taylor showed a confident approach at the plate with a level swing and has bat speed.

Aaron Herbst (2021 SS, Mooresville, NC) singled in his last two at bats of the afternoon. Herbst showed good balance at the plate with bat speed and makes consistent contact.

Mason Cooper (2021 C, Jefferson, GA) singled in his final two at bats of the day as well. Cooper showed good bat speed at the plate with sound approach at the plate. 

Luke Schmolke (2022 SS/RHP, Mooresville, NC) sat 80-84mph on his fastball with his curveball at 71mph. Schmolke did a good job of pounding the strike zone with a simple repeatable delivery and hides the ball well.

Ruggeri does a good job of hitting the ball where it's pitched, showing good pitch recognition and has a level swing. On the mound Ruggeri topped out at 80mph on his fastball mixing in a curveball at 60mph and a changeup at 64mph. Ruggeri did a good job of mixing his pitches keeping hitters off balance. 

Thomas Rollauer (2021 SS, Atlanta, GA) had two hits today including doubling in his first at bat. Rollauer has a nice swing path with an aggressive approach at the plate and showed bat speed. 

Wyatt McCannon (2021 C, Muscle Shoals, AL) had a double this afternoon for the Maroon team today. McCannon showed a good swing at the plate with an ability to square the ball up.

Dylan Koontz (2021 3B, Huntersville, NC) had two hits today as well including tripling in his first at bat. Koontz has a line drive swing plane with bat speed while showing good instincts no the bases. 

Rossman Diaz (2020 C, Macon, GA) doubled in his second at bat of the day today. Diaz takes an aggressive swing at the plate and drives the ball to the gaps. 

Theo Bryant (2019 OF, Conley, GA) hit a Home Run in his last at bat of the day. Bryant did a good job turning on an inside fastball on his home run displaying bat speed with a smooth swing.

Rhett Hammontree (2020 SS, Cohutta, GA) doubled in the game this afternoon. Hammontree has pop in his bat with a level swing and showed a good approach at the plate.

Fernando Gonzalez (2020 C, Acworth, GA) doubled in 2 of his at bats this morning. Gonzalez does a good job of using his lower half to help generate power, while showing a patient approach at the plate with bat speed.

Javon Compton (2021 OF, Fayetteville, GA) singled in his first two at bats today. Compton made consistent contact at the plate today with a level swing and has bat speed.

Lance Wade (2020 RHP, Baton Rouge, LA) had his fastball top out at 86mph this afternoon pairing it with a curveball at 74mph and a changeup at 73mph. Wade has a deceptive online delivery with an over the top arm slot. Wade used his changeup effectively to righties and got swing and misses.

Michael Porter Jr (2021 OF, Marietta, GA) doubled in his first at bat of the game for the Col. Blue team today. Porter Jr. showed a patient approach at the plate with bat speed and turned on an inside pitch well. 

Dylan Chromy (2020 OF, Matthews, NC) singled in his first two at bats today. Chromy has a good swing with good pitch awareness and showed good instincts on the bases. 

Cade Watson (2020 LHP, Santa Rosa Beach, FL) topped out at 82mph on his fastball mixing in his slider at 72mpg and his changeup at 70mph. Watson pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with fluid actions and a repeatable delivery. His fastball has arm side run to it and has good late break to his curveball. 

Coulson Buchanan (2021 RHP, Sugar Hill, GA) sat 83-86mph on his fastball with his slider at 75mph and his changeup at 77mph. Buchanan has a strong athletic build working from an over the top arm slot. Buchanan pounded the strike zone with late bite to his slider and a nice late breaking changeup.
