Evan Manzo (2020 OF, Huntington Beach, CA) did a nice job of staying direct to the ball with his righthanded swing, barreling it nicely to all fields with quickness to his hands and balance throughout his swing.
Aidan Rodriguez (2019 SS, Yuma, AZ) showed an easy swing from the right side and was able to generate natural leverage at the point of contact. He does a nice job of repeating his swing and was able to generate some whip to the barrel through the zone, impacting the ball to his pull side.
Justin Rodriguez (2019 OF, Simi Valley, CA) is an uncommitted rising senior out of California who did well in creating separation to his swing from the right side of the plate. He gets the barrel through the zone well with looseness to his hands while creating jump of the barrel when squared.
Jaelen Williams (2020 1B, Fontana, CA) is a strong 6-2/220 righthanded hitting first baseman who shows nice rhythm to his load and quick hands along with a short swing path. There’s also strength to his hands as he showed the ability to drive the ball well to his pull side with a rather simple swing overall.
Max Isaacman (2020 C, San Diego, CA) is a young lefthanded hitter who digs with an athletic stance in the box. With both quickness and looseness to his hands, Isaacman shows a linear stroke with extension through the zone, creating line drive contact while repeating his swing.
Massai Dorsey (2019 SS, Studio City, CA) put together one of the more consistent rounds of batting practice on the day. He found the barrel regularly and stays short to the ball with a compact path, working the pull side with back spin coming off the barrel.
Cameron Mahaffy (2019 OF, Costa Mesa, CA) uncoils well moving into contact and connected for the first home run of the day, putting a ball just fair down the left field line. He’ll continue to unlock additional strength as he continues to keep his weight back, though he does generate some whip to the barrel.
Shoei Imaizumi (2019 IF, Ota, TK) utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing in the box and he does a nice job of getting it down on time, showing looseness to his hands and a linear path through eh zone, consistently barreling balls up.
Nicholas Walker (2019 C, Los Angeles, CA) is a strong 6-foot-2 catcher and he shows that strength in his hands, staying compact to the ball through the zone. He stays simple with his swing and creates backspin off the barrel while generating some separation at the point of contact.
Kota Suzuki (2019 OF, Nagoya, AI) shows loose hands and loose wrists in his righthanded swing, generating some jump off the barrel to his pull side. When balanced, Suzuki is able to create extension and leverage out front while generating whip to the barrel through the zone.
Michael Prieto (2019 OF, Victorville, CA) put together a very consistent round of batting practice from the left side and is currently listed as uncommitted on his profile. With looseness to both his hands and overall swing, Prieto creates whip to the barrel while staying balanced and generate steady barreled contact to the pull side.
Owen Mortensen (2020 C, Riverton, UT) begins with a wider base and a higher hand set and does a nice job of staying simple to the ball while getting extended out front. He found the barrel regularly with his swing and remained on time from one swing to the next.
Ryan Mowad (2019 C, Murrieta, CA) begins with a wide, spread stance in the box but shows quickness to his hands and a direct path to the ball. With his strength he was able to drive the ball to the pull side wall with leverage out front when keeping his weight back on his swing.
Andrew Rangel (2019 OF, Gardnerville, NV)went to the plate looking to impact the baseball and swung with intent form the right side, something he was able to do as he showed carry to his pull side and on the final swing of his round went deep over the left field wall.
Eiji Koshikawa (2019 IF, Sanbu, CH)did a nice job of staying short through the zone with looseness and quickness to his hands, creating present bat speed with a linear stroke at the point of contact while showing the ability to impact the baseball.
Matthew Nelson (2020 C, Laguna Niguel, CA)has a long and projectable 6-4/200 frame and he knows how to use his strength, impacting the ball to his pull side. He connected for a home run during his round and showed steady backspin off the barrel while creating extension out front.
