3-Black vs. 5-Gray Highlights

11/14/2021

Cord Copley (2023 C, Sugar Land, TX) has quality quick actions as a secondary arm. He has some effort in the delivery showing control and repeatable mechanics pairing well with a live arm. Breaking ball was his most consistent pitch with a clean release and impressive 11/5 bite playing effectively off his 86-mph fastball hitting both sides of the zone.

Carson Bratcher (2025 RHP, Houston, TX) collected a pair of base hits seeing pitches very well with good approach. Primary pitcher, but the swing plays with barrel control and easy contact.

Austin Hardy (2024 SS, Spring, TX) showed good feel for the zone working a fluid rhythm mixing his fastball up to 81 and a sharp slider with good tilt that generated several missed barrels for the put away punching out five in a dominant no hit two innings of relief.

Jackson Cotton (2025 OF, Missouri City, TX) is a sure follow projecting plenty across his deep tool set and ability to impact the game in multiple phases. In both games he showed off a talented arm and refined athleticism that will continue to carry his ability to produce on the mound and outfield at high levels, and a smooth left-handed swing that connects unfailingly with a run tool intently producing on the bases.

Kendyl Johnson (2024 OF, Little Elm, TX) is a compact and explosive athlete with great feel for producing offensively. He connects with strength that projects well and showed a quality glove ranging well in the outfield.

Zach White (2024 2B, Baytown, TX) is a very well-rounded player with a lot of physical development to add to his excellent versatility on the field. He plays with a good motor and field awareness alongside a very playable contact tool and impressive swing that consistently found the barrel against multiple arms forcing tough outs with strong impact carrying well gap to gap.

Barrett Johnson (2023 3B, San Antonio, TX) pitched a solid two frames with three strike outs. His fastball topped at 83 with great feel to spin his breaking ball up to 72. Present athleticism on the mound and the arm syncs well with his actions downhill filling up the zone.

Andrew Ferguson (2025 RHP, West Monroe, LA) had a couple of solid barrels including a double to drive in a late run. 6-foot frame with plenty of room to fill and translate to his tools is intriguing. Good balance and easy lofted left-handed swing is showing some impact potential ahead of him alongside his pitchability on the mound.

Caldwell McFaddin (2025 1B, Magnolia, TX) was overriding hitters with a power FB/CB mix with great intent as a young 2025 no less. Impressive command for his stuff with excellent athletic physical upside and a versatile arm projecting two-way potential very well. He sat mid to upper 80s reaching back for 87 and breaking off his downer curveball at 73 consistently landing it for plenty of swing and miss striking out the side in an impressive quick inning appearance.

6-Green v. 8-Navy Game Highlights

11/14/2021

Matt Zatopek (2023 RHP, Cypress, TX) was impressive over his three innings of work, as the 2023 right-hander allowed just one hit and struck out seven hitters along the way. He worked in the low-80s with his fastball for the duration of his outing, touching 83 mph early on. Zatopek worked both sides of the plate effectively, tunneling his fastball/slider combo seamlessly. The slider is a true weapon, as it flashes hard horizontal tilt and generates tons of swings-and-misses.

Vincent Herrera (2024 3B, Houston, TX) had a good day at the plate, as the young backstop collected two hits and drove in a run. The right-handed hitting 2024 Grad stays quiet into contact before torquing the lower half quickly to deliver the barrel with authority. Herrera recognizes spin well and shows the ability to manipulate the barrel.

Kevin Haslam (2025 OF, Pflugerville, TX) collected two hits in this one, as he showed good barrel skills and the ability to hit the ball where it's pitched. He implores a simple swing with a direct hand path and some whip to his barrel.

Landon Salinas (2024 SS, Corpus Christi, TX) impressed in his one inning of work, as the 2024 right-hander ran his fastball up to 85 mph. He uses a simple delivery with good rhythm and tempo into balance. Salinas incorporates good length down the mound and generates plenty of extension out out in front. He mixed in a 11-5 breaking ball that varied in shape but disrupted the timing of hitters effectively. He punched out three over his three innings of work.

Chase Weaver (2023 1B, Hamilton, TX) was another impressive arm that took the mound for an inning, running his fastball up to 84 mph from the left-side. He incorporates good lower half movements down the slope, as he creates good hip/shoulder separation and torque at foot strike. He mixed in a slower 2-8 curveball at 67 mph for both strikes and swings-and-misses.

Josh Arquette (2024 3B, Kingwood, TX) had himself a day at the plate, as the quick-twitch 2024 Grad collected two including a loud double to left field. He implores good lower half movements to turn quickly and deliver the barrel with authority.

4-Columbia Blue vs 7-Maroon Game Highlights

11/14/2021

Alexander Covar (2025 C, Austin, TX) has been mightily impressive this weekend with the bat showing an innate feel for the barrel and plenty of components that project. He found 3 barrels in this one, all of which went for hits with a liner to the middle, a hit inside the line and a double that was smoked over the left-fielders head.

Connor Carmichael (2024 C, Fulshear, TX) made some noise late in the game as he sent a homerun to left, physical swinger, good job of staying in his legs and creating some levergage to get it out.

Austin Godwin (2024 3B, Cypress, TX) is a physical righthanded hitter with a longer swing but has good strength to it and he showed it on a hard line drive triple to the right-center gap on a tough outer half pitch.

Matthew Leal (2023 OF, Pearland, TX) was impressive during his round of batting practice a day ago and that same combination of bat speed and strength was on display today as he turned the barrel over on a hard double down the line.

Samuel Soto (2024 1B, Kingwood, TX) racked up a pair of hits for the Maroon team and did so with a couple great pieces of hitting as he adjusted his hands well to find the barrel with real intent.

Kyle Hubert (2024 OF, Conroe, TX) had a pair of hits in this game today, including a single up the middle that plated a pair. It’s a short and quick swing which allows him to find the barrel often and the bat speed should project well as he elevates the ball a bit more moving forward.

Hayden Carpenter (2023 RHP, Pinehurst, TX) had a pair of hits as well showing his long and strong swing from a day ago translates to game action. The power projection certainly stands out and should pair well with the consistency.

Batting Practice Highlights

11/13/2021

Cord Copley (2023 C, Sugar Land, TX) showed a clean right-handed stroke with some bat speed as he found the barrel often and added to a strong set of defensive workouts.

Barrett Johnson (2023 3B, San Antonio, TX) is a physical right-handed hitter and he incorporates it well as he stays under control and engages the lower half well with repeatable pull side approach.

Zach White (2024 2B, Baytown, TX) showed some feel for the barrel on both sides of the dish and the quickness created some jump and carry to both gaps as his length allows him to hit from all parts.

Hayden Carpenter (2023 RHP, Pinehurst, TX) has some intrigue with the bat as his long and strong swing was able to produce strong contact to the pull side in his round while producing it often.

Tyler Costas (2024 OF, Magnolia, TX) is physical as well and his strength allows him to get wide and whip the barrel with jump off impact and comfort carrying to either gap.

Alexander Covar (2025 C, Austin, TX) took a good round and showed some long-term upside to dream on as his swing is a good one with strength in the hands, an innate feel for the barrel and the ability to really turn it over and impact it to pull.

Sean Gardiner (2024 MIF, Beaumont, TX) was consistent in his round showing he could backspin the ball to the middle and the bat speed projects well.

Matthew Leal (2023 OF, Pearland, TX) took a really good round barreling the ball around the field and the strength he has in the stroke allows him to create strong carry on his impact.

Jackson Cotton (2025 OF, Missouri City, TX) was strong in the defensive workouts and translated the strength to batting practice as he found a whole bunch of barrels and the consistency paired with the bat speed project really well in the coming years.

Austin Hardy (2024 SS, Spring, TX) took one of the better rounds of the day as he has great direction in the swing, has comfort handling the barrel, tons of bat speed and the ball comes off really well.

Alexander Morgan (2023 C, Cypress, TX) separates well and the strength he has in his hands allows him to stay within his frame and produce solid contact to both gaps.

Caldwell McFaddin (2025 1B, Magnolia, TX) is another strong young prospect who swings the bat with a ton of intent and the length paired with now physicality projects to big pop long-term.

Kevin Haslam (2025 OF, Pflugerville, TX) shifts in well in his swing and his ability to turn the barrel in tight allows him to create strong carry to the pull side.

Caleb Hines (2025 RHP, Edmond, OK) took one of the better young rounds and the quickness in his hands produces good bat speed and the jump off the barrel projects well.

Zachary Tuxhorn (2025 C, Houston, TX) is a young right-handed hitting catcher who worked the middle well in his round and he adjusts well which projects to translate in-game.

Connor Carmichael (2024 C, Fulshear, TX) stands confidently in the box and has a really under control approach that pairs well with his combination of looseness and present strength.

Landon Salinas (2024 SS, Corpus Christi, TX) coils and uncoils well while creating good separation and the handle of the barrel gives him consistency in finding it.

5- Gray vs 6- Green Game Highlights

11/13/2021

Anthony Graham (2023 RHP, Alvin, TX) ran the fastball up to 84 mph in the first inning striking out the side with a three-pitch mix that he commanded in the zone well. The curveball showed true spin traits working top to bottom in the upper 60’s while the changeup sinks to the arm side in the mid 70’s. He followed up his impressive first inning with a rocket single to left center in his first at before coming around to score. HE would finish the night on the mound with 13 swings and misses to rack up eight strikeouts in an impressive outing to say the least.

Bridger Thomas (2025 RHP, Beach City, TX) has a strong build with some present strength in the lower half. In his first at bat he did a nice job of attacking the inner half of a fastball on the outer half and driving sing the other way. His simple approach projects well moving forward with an understanding of how to handle the barrel and use the whole field. On the mound he dominated with the fastball locating it well to both halves of the plate to strike out eight in three innings.

Kolin Swindall (2025 RHP, Alvin, TX) shows a lean athletic build that projects well on the mound with plenty of length to fill out as he continues to mature. The fastball comes out of the hand clean living right around 80 mph and topping out at 82 mph in his first inning of work. He mixed in a full arsenal with two breaking balls showing distinctly different breaks. The curveball gets more depth while the slider flashed shaper bite at times. His ability to turn over the changeup vows well for him moving forward as it offers an off-speed pitch to the throws with confidence to the arm side of the plate. He also aded a barrel late in the game at the plate.

Josh Arquette (2024 3B, Kingwood, TX) continued his loud day after a big workout with a no doubt bomber deep over the wall in left field. His large build shows present strength in the lower half that translated well to his right-handed swing. He was able work the count into his favor before getting a fastball belt high on the inner to create leverage from the ground up and deposit it into the bushes for the most impressive swing of the day.

Caldwell McFaddin (2025 1B, Magnolia, TX) had a solid showing on both sides of the ball with a hit at the plate and a solid play defensively at third base. At the plate his right-handed swing shows good intent with an ability to keep the hands inside the ball and drive it the other way. With the glove he added a nice play at each corner spot showing off the amr strength from third and making a nice catch on a rocket line drive at first base.

Joseph Perillo (2025 LHP, Kingwood, TX) found a barrel late in the game with a base hit to right field. His left-handed swing shows some present loft in the bat path allowing him to create back spin and carry on the ball fight. He did a nice job of getting on plane with an elevated fastball with the barrel head out front getting extension through contact. His frame shows room to continue adding strength moving forward leaving room to project more power into the swing.

7- Maroon vs 8- Navy Game Highlights

11/13/2021

Caleb Hines (2025 RHP, Edmond, OK) had great command of his arsenal throughout his 3 innings of work, retiring 6 batters on strikes in the process. Hines repeatedly showed the ability to stay low in the zone with a traditional mid 60s curveball that dotted both corners of the plate.

Colin Kelly (2023 RHP, Colleyville, TX) did damage from both sides of the field, recording a hard line drive over 3B on the offensive end while also striking out 3 hitters in 3 innings of work on the bump. Kelly fits the role of all around athlete, displaying natural movements and ability regardless of where he was on the field.

Howard "Trey" Bartee lll (2024 OF, Missouri City, TX) attacked in the leadoff spot all day, going 2-3 with ropes from gap to gap. Bartee lll grinds out AB’s at the dish, spoiling pitcher’s pitches until he gets a mistake to do damage. He successfully creates backspin on the baseball with strong hands and a fast bat.

Zachary Tuxhorn (2025 C, Houston, TX) launched a ball to the left center field wall with easy power potential, adding to his value as a prospect. Tuxhorn swung with tons of intent, creating lots of lower half rotation and weight shift to create effortless carry on the baseball.

Tanner Wiggins (2023 RHP, North Richland Hills, TX) ran the gun up to 86 mph in his appearance on the bump with lots of running life arm side. When he was able to locate in the zone, hitters constantly produced weak contact off the heat as well as a tight slider that showed late 10-4 bite.

3- Black vs 4- Col. Blue Game Highlights

11/13/2021

Luke Eumont (2023 LHP, Sugar Land, TX) was efficient in his three innings giving hitters a different look with his lower three-quarter arm slot. His release helps to generate natural arm side run on the fastball at 80-82 mph showing the ability to create swing and miss to both sides of the plate. He was also effective in mixing in a sweeping slider in the mid 70’s getting it to the glove side against both righties and lefties on his way to striking out five.

Augustus Bickett (2025 C, The Woodlands, TX) was able to pull the hands in and keep a fastball fair down the left field line for a double. The barrel gets through the zone with a mostly level path and his ability to keep the hands to the inside part of the ball allows him to keep it fair as he tucked it just inside the foul before cruising into second base standing up. His frame projects well with room to keep adding strength as he matures moving forward. His third inning was no different as he took only six pitches to collect his three outs maintaining his velocity on the fastball in the upper 70’s.

Ian Quirsfeld (2023 RHP, Tomball, TX) dominated through his first two innings retiring all six batters he faced on just 15 pitches. He creates good angle to the bottom of the zone from a higher arm angle well still getting out over the front side with good extension. The fastball lived in the upper 70’s but played higher when he was down in the zone creating swings and misses while mixing in a mid 60’s breaking ball with young projectable traits.

Corbin Dymek (2023 LHP, Celina, TX) has a strong build with some present strength throughout the frame. He attacked hitters early with the fastball down in the zone keeping it off the barrel and creating swings and misses. The breaking ball showed short depth with later break giving him a decent secondary offering. He finished his day on the mound with three shutout innings and four punch outs while scattering three hits.

Kendyl Johnson (2024 OF, Little Elm, TX) displayed good control of the barrel in his second at bat guiding it through the zone with loose wrist creating some whip at the point of contact. He was able to handle a fastball on the inner half hitting it hard on a line to center before finding himself on second base as he displayed his smooth strides gliding around the bases.

Kohl Navarre (2023 RHP, Sulphur, LA) lit it up with the fastball running it up to 86 mph in his first inning of work and maintaining in the mid 80’s over his next two innings with a quick arm and good use of the lower half as he maintains his line to the plate. The fastball gets on hitters quick maintaining its rid up in the zone to creating swings under the ball racking up He showed feel for a firmer slider in the low 70’s with late sharp sweeping action.
