Jaxon Mount (2026 LHP, Forney, TX) worked three innings on the mound without allowing a hit or a run while striking out five. He threw an immaculate inning in the second. Mount showed a sinking fastball that had some run as well along with a solid curveball from a high three-quarters slot.
Charlie Wilson (2026 1B, Dallas, TX) is one of the younger players at the 14U Lone Star Showcase at 13 years old. Wilson used his physical 6'1', 210-pound frame to power a ball deep to left field for a RBI triple in his second at-bat.
Carson Baugh (2025 LHP, Edmond, OK) worked a quick two innings and allowed zero hits and zero runs while punching out four hitters along the way. Baugh was able to get plenty of swings-and-misses with the fastball that had slight sinking action.
Dylan Cheek (2026 SS, Rockwall, TX) displayed some impressive skills at the plate and on defense. He showed off some good arm strength and picked it well at shortstop. At the plate, Cheek found a good barrel in his second at-bat and drove a ball deep to right field for a double. During his third plate appearance he showed off some speed and reach first on an infield single.
Gilberto Rodriguez Jr. (2026 C, Edinburg, TX) was able to collect two hits on the day. He has a simple swing and a sound approach. Rodriguez Jr had a single to left field in his first at-bat and was able to drive a ball for a double to right field in the later innings of the game.
Karter Fleming (2026 RHP, Lindale, TX) worked an efficient two inning on the mound. He allowed zero hits and zero runs during his outing. Fleming was able to locate the fastball well and generated weak contact for outs.
