6-Purple vs. 8-White Game Highlights

7/21/2021

Zowen Collins (2023 1B, Canajoharie, NY) started on the mound, striking out 4 batters and topping 79 mph on the gun through 4 innings of work. The athletic lefty had two plus off speed pitches in the form of a fading changeup and a sharp 11-5 slurve that keep hitters constantly off balance in the box.

Devin Lake (2023 3B, East Meadow, NY) tossed 4 innings of one hit baseball, attacking hitters aggressively in the zone and letting his defense work. Lake threw from a 3/4 arm slot with a calculated, repeatable motion. He fielded his position well.

Harrison Campi (2023 SS, Manasquan, NJ) played a stellar 3B/SS on the day, showing off the effortless range and soft hands on multiple occasions. Campi made tough plays look routine and had clear zip across the diamond.

7/21/2021

Vito Demonte (2022 OF, Brooklyn, NY) took the mound Wednesday, tossing 2 innings with 3 K’s and running his FB up to 81 mph. Josh J. Harrison (2023 3B, Bad Nauheim, HE) only worked in a brief 1.1 inning appearance, but the primary 3B should think about toeing the mound more often. He struck out 3 while gearing the FB up to 81 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot. The curveball displayed sharp 11-5 movement that could be thrown in any count with confidence.

Connor Watson (2023 SS, Morristown, NJ) did his stuff on the bump too, running his FB up to 81 mph from a very projectable frame. He worked from an over the head windup with a full circular arm action that produced a heavy FB yielding little to no solid contact.

The lefty showcased obvious power potential with strong direct hands to the baseball. Smith has the ability to use the entire field with solid contact from gap to gap.
