8/18/2019

Frankie Dominici (2021 3B, Point Pleasant, NJ) doubled in game action, and makes consistent hard contact in game. Dominici has a slight loft in his swing allowing him to tap into his present gap power.

Will Burchick (2020 OF, Severn, MD) tripled over in game action, and projects to hit for even more power in the future has he continues to mature. Burchick took good routes in the OF, and showed the ability to get a good first step.

Matthew Puello (2021 SS, New York, NY) collected a multi hit game, scored 2 runs and stole a base. Puello has a high motor and good in game instincts. The 2021 MIF had good in game actions across as mirage of INF positions (3B, SS & 2B).

Mark Gialluisi (2023 C, Westfield, NJ) belted a triple over the OF's head in game action. Gialluisi willed his way to third by busting it out of the box. The 20203 grad has a short compact swing and quick bat that allowed him to do damage while hunting fastballs.

Cesar Camacho (2022 OF, Hamilton, NJ) double in game action, and made consistent loud contact. Camacho has a knack for getting the barrel on the ball, and working into good hitters counts. The 2022 grad had an advanced approach for his age.

Yasir Gardner-Sizer (2022 OF, Pottstown, PA) used a contact approach and level swing plane to collect two hits in his two ABs

Dylan Palmer (2022 2B, West Windsor, NJ) played well on both sides of the ball. Palmer flashed defensively at 2nd base and showed his ability to make hard contact, collecting two hits which included turning on an inside FB for a 2B down the RF line.

Noah Iseman (2021 1B, Worton, MD) showed off his power and bat speed by turning on an inside pitch and driving deep to RF for a double in his 2nd AB

Nick Peltier (2021 C, Walpole, NH) used an inside out approach with the ability to make hard contact hitting a double to the opposite field.

Dan Labrozzi (2022 SS, Sag Harbor, NY) turned on an inside FB and hit a hard line drive down the LF line for an RBI double showing off his quick hands and bat speed.

2-Columbia Blue vs 4-Gray Game Highlights

8/18/2019

Henry Boehm (2021 RHP, McLean, VA) threw 4 scoreless innings while striking out 9. Boehm is a good athlete which was on display on the mound as well as in the field where we made two nice plays on the run at 3B. The 2021 grad also mixed in a sharper downing CB at 68. Boehm helped his own cause at the plate adding

Landen Burch (2022 RHP, Corning, NY) doubled in game action. Burch has a fluid stroke that plays in game, and flashed present bat speed. Burch is a quick twitch athlete.

Luke Nemeth (2022 LHP, Malvern, PA) collected two singles in game action. Nemeth is able to keep his barrel through the one for an extended period of time, and showed the ability to get the barrel on the ball.

Matthew Phillips (2022 1B, Norfolk, VA) made consistent loud in game contact throughout the day. Phillips collected two ground rule doubles in game play, and posses present bat speed and gap power. The 2022 grad projects to hit for more power as he matures.

Nick Scattareggia (2021 C, Watervliet, NY) collected two hits including a 2B in game action. Scattareggia showed the ability to spray the ball, and hit where he was pitched.

Louis Jordan (2020 3B, New York, NY) was impressive on the mound today running his FB up to 85. Jordan has a large frame with room to fill out. The 2020 grad gets good extension out front which produces riding FB life.

1-Black vs 3-Gold Game Highlights

8/18/2019

Jarod Abram (2020 RHP, Mountainside, NJ) collected two hits on the day and was consistent in all his at bats. He squared balls up and showed great barrel awareness throughout.

Cooper Sackel (2023 1B, Williamsville, NY) had two singles in the game with a closed off approach. He did a good job of keeping his hands inside and driving balls to the opposite field.

Chris Ayres (2021 SS, Collegeville, PA) recorded a single in both of his at bats. He showed an even strong base with good bat speed using a gap-to-gap approach.

5-Green vs. 6-Maroon Game Highlights

8/18/2019

Gavin Martin (2021 3B, Bordentown, NJ) drove a ball deep to RCF for a stand up double, showing off his power to all fields by taking the outside pitch deep to the opposite field.

Ty Sallie (2021 SS, Parsippany, NJ) turned on an inside pitch driving it over the LF head and showed off his speed around the bases legging it out to an easy triple.

Tanner Nolan (2023 LHP, Deptford, NJ) forced a lot of weak contact throughout his 3 innings of work. Nolan located his FB well to both sides of the plate and showed some advanced pitch-ability with his three pitch mix.

6-Maroon vs 7-Orange Game Highlights

8/17/2019

Jordan Gray (2020 RHP, Deptford, NJ) threw 3 scoreless innings with 7Ks. In a game in which pitching dominated, the 2020 grad stood out. Gray has a quick tempo delivery, and threw a bowling ball FB up to 86.

Nadell Booker (2020 RHP, Somerset, NJ) possess a physical frame, and throws with a loose 3/4 arm slot. Booker gets good extension out front, and pitched 80-83 with a FB. The right flashed a hard biting breaking ball with depth and tilt.

Colin McCunney (2020 C, Robbinsville, NJ) doubled in game action. McCunney has a quick first step, and gets down the line well. The 2020 grad hits with a line drive swing plane, and flashed some present bat speed.

Batting Practice Highlights

8/17/2019

Louis Jordan (2020 3B, New York, NY) has a long and loose 6-2/160 build and a strong upper body generated swing with lots of lift to left field.  He got the ball in the air and squared up well and will continue to hit the ball further as he gets stronger.

Jannuel Wispi (2021 SS, Baltimore, MD) has a short and quick hand driven swing that produced some hard middle of the field line drive jump.  He has some simple pre-swing adjustments to make that will improve his timing immediately.

Ryan Van Buren (2021 RHP, Meadowbrook, PA) was one of many primary pitchers who swing a strong bat.  The 6-2/165 right handed hitter has good hand quickness and drove the ball well gap to gap with some carry.

Ranciel Ventura (2021 SS, Allentown, PA) is an athletic middle infielder with a short, under controlled line drive swing and the beginnings of some present strength.  He was very consistent in his gap to gap contact.

Eli Meredith (2020 OF, Philadelphia, PA) is an athletic switch-hitter who showed better bat speed and lift from the left side, although he did have some juice in the barrel from the right side as well.  He was aggressive and attacked the ball from both sides.

Jarod Abram (2020 RHP, Mountainside, NJ) is a big and strong athlete at 6-3/225 and has lots of strength in his right handed swing.  He has the ability to hit some bombs if he learns to turn the barrel instead of being satisfied with hitting the opposite way with a lagging bat head.

Nick Scattareggia (2021 C, Watervliet, NY) is a strong bodied catcher with some strength in his rotational right handed swing.  He barreled up almost every pitch with some jump and solid line drive carry.

Matthew Phillips (2022 1B, Norfolk, VA) is a young left handed hitting first baseman with some present strength and lots of room for more.  He's best when he is getting extended through contact and letting the barrel go and line one ball off the right field fence on his best swing.

Arlys Saladin (2020 3B, Newark, NJ) has a strong compact build and showed one of the simplest and most direct swings of batting practice.  He repeated his swing mechanics and timing very well and hit line drive after line drive during his round.

Ty Sallie (2021 SS, Parsippany, NJ) has a late hand load that can leave his swing late as well but once he got timed up and confident the ball was flying off his bat.  He should continue to improve as he gets stronger and makes some pre-swing adjustments.

Marc Portlock (2020 MIF, Princeton, NJ) has a very athletic and projectable 6-1/175 build and a loose body that can add lots of strength in the future.  He swings hard with nice extension through contact and projects some power.

Sean O'Mara (2021 SS, Shrewsbury, NJ) hits from a spread stance with a late hand load and an aggressive quick swing.  He showed nice lift and jump to right centerfield when he got timed up and finished his round strong.

Andrew Butera (2020 OF, Collegeville, PA) might have had the most aggressive swing at the showcase and really attacks the ball from the right side.  The bat speed and twitchy hands are there to relax a bit and let his athleticism work for more consistent square contact.

Brandon Peterson (2022 SS, Utica, NY) has a very nice left handed swing, with quick and short hands to the ball, and barreled up almost every ball.  More strength is going to equal more bat speed for the young middle infielder.

Tim Nicholson (2021 C, Darnestown, MD) has a nice right handed swing to go along with a commitment to play at George Washington.  He squared up the ball hard with consistent mid-field to pull side contact and projects well physically.

Jayson Cruz (2021 OF, Newark, NJ) is one of the strongest players at the event and he has unusually long arms for a 6-0/190 athlete, so when he gets extended there is lots of power and juice in his bat.  The raw bat speed is there to take a big jump forward as a hitter.

Matthew Canizares (2021 OF, East Elmhurst, NY) has a very calm and well timed swing that got the barrel to the ball from the first pitch to the last, as by this scout's count he barreled up nine balls.  All he needs is more strength to take the next step as a hitter.

Andrew Glatt (2021 SS, East Windsor, NJ) is another young hitter whose swing works really well for him right now and more strength is the key element in his improving, not any adjustments to his swing.

Joshua Wilson (2021 2B, Clinton, MD) doesn't stand out physically at 5-9/150 but he had some of the quickest and most explosive hands we saw today, hits hits the ball out front with a short and quick swing and showed surprising pop for his size.

Jake Rothstein (2020 1B, Woodbridge, NJ) has good size at 6-3/190 and a simple and direct left handed swing that made consistent hard pull contact.  He was well timed and the ball jumped off his barrel

5-Green vs 7-Orange Game Highlights

8/17/2019

Sean O'Mara (2021 SS, Shrewsbury, NJ) is a great runner and has a line drive swing plane. O'Mara displayed a great baseball IQ and presence on the field.

Noah Iseman (2021 1B, Worton, MD) has a short compact swing from the left side. The 2021 grad smoked a @B to RCF, and showed the ability to make hard in game contact.

Charlie Rossman (2023 OF, Belle Mead, NJ) showed some present bat speed, and 3Bed down the RF line off of a FB. Rossman, being one of the youngest players in attendance, has high upside as he continues to mature.

Joey Thomas (2020 LHP, Great Falls, VA) dominated over 4 innings of work with 11 strikeouts. Thomas pitched from the stretch and threw from a 3/4 slot. The 2020 lefty generated frequent swings while running his FB up to 85.

8-Purple vs. 9-Red Game Highlights

8/17/2019

Mark Gialluisi (2023 C, Westfield, NJ) stood out on both sides of the ball throughout the entire game. From behind the plate he threw out multiple runners while showing great receiving skills as well. On the offensive side of the ball, Gialluisi showed off the juice in his bat driving two ball for extra base hits (3B and 2B)

Matthew Puello (2021 SS, New York, NY) showed good actions all over the field and showed a good approach at the plate with the ability to consistently make hard contact and collected two hits in the game.

Brandon Peterson (2022 SS, Utica, NY) was very efficient over his 3 innings of work on the mound. Commanding the strike zone with his FB up to 82 MPH as well as mixing in a sharp 12/6 CB, Peterson allowed 0 hits and recorded 5 Ks.

Jack Stoops (2021 C, Hatfield, PA) collected 2 singles in the game using a contact approach exhibiting his ability to hit the ball to all fields.

Tim Nicholson (2021 C, Darnestown, MD) showed off some pop in his bat when he drove an RBI double to deep LCF in his 2nd AB

Kyle Musser (2021 OF, Lititz, PA) used an up the middle approach with an efficient swing plane and bat speed to record two hits in the game

10-Royal vs 11-White

8/17/2019

Khalil Greene (2021 OF, Bowie, MD) tripled and scored in game action. The 2021 grad posses solid tools across the board, and showed his ability to get the barrel on the ball in game. Green has good instincts on the bases.

Travis Garnett (2021 LHP, Pasadena, MD) shined bright today. The big lefty touched 88 with his FB while sitting in the mid 80. Garnett has a deceptive delivery that amplifies his breaking pitches. The 2021 grad mixed in solid secondary offerings including a 72 CB & 75 SL.

Stephen Colangelo (2020 SS, Liverpool, NY) collected 2 singles in game action. Colangelo profiles as a top of the order hitter with the consistent ability to get the bat on the ball, and spray it around the field.

Xander Giordani (2021 RHP, Schwenksville, PA) worked 3 scoreless innings while running his FB up to 82. Giordani scattered 2 hits over his 3 frames while striking out 4. The righty also mixed in a 64 SL with good depth.

5-Green vs 6-Maroon Game Highlights

8/17/2019

Arlys Saladin (2020 3B, Newark, NJ) produced loud in game contact, and showed good plate coverage. Saladin has present gap pop to both fields.

Nick Classie (2020 C, Ridge, NY) shined behind the plate. Classie took control of the game, and has great composure. The 2020 grad also added a 1B at the plate.

Evan Pravato (2021 SS, Warren, NJ) showed the ability to read pitches, and keep his hands back. The 2021 grad 2Bed down the3 LF line, and has present bat speed.

Marc Portlock (2020 MIF, Princeton, NJ) hits from a balanced stance and even keel approach. Portlock kept the barrel in the zone for an extended period of time, and 1Bed off a CB to LCF.

Gavin Martin (2021 3B, Bordentown, NJ) took the first pitch he saw and smashed a ground rule double. Marin uses an aggressive approach to hunt pitches that he can drive and do damage with in the middle of the order.

3-Gold vs. 4-Gray Game Highlights

8/17/2019

Victor White (2020 3B, East Orange, NJ) showed a good approach at the plate with some pop to all fields. Collected two hits in the game including a double to the opposite field.

Matthew Phillips (2022 1B, Norfolk, VA) drove a ball deep off the RF fence in the 1st inning showing off his bat speed and his power to the pull side.

Jarod Abram (2020 RHP, Mountainside, NJ) collected 5 Ks while only allowing 1 hit in his 3 innings of work. Abram showed ability to spot his FB, which was up to 85 MPH, to both sides of the plate along with a late breaking SL with good depth to generate swing and misses.

CJ Brown (2020 C, Linwood, NJ) turned on a pitch deep to LF for a double for one of his two hits. Brown used a good swing plane and there was strength present in his swing throughout the day at the plate.

1-Black vs 2-Columbia Blue Game Highlights

8/17/2019

Ryan Van Buren (2021 RHP, Meadowbrook, PA) touched 84 MPH with his FB while sitting 79-82 MPH. He also flashed a CB at 71 MPH. Van Buren recorded five strikeouts in his three innings of work and consistently attacked the zone.

Matt Cefola (2021 RHP, Tomkins Cove, NY) worked 3 scoreless innings on approximately 30 pitches, and was in command the entire way. Cefola induced consistently weak contact, and did not allow a ball to be hit out of the INF. The 2021 righty struck-out 5, and was aided by exceptional command of his FB.

Joseph Fagan (2023 C, Summit, NJ) collected a single and a triple with an aggressive approach at the plate. He showed good balance and the ability to use the whole field.

Chris Ayres (2021 SS, Collegeville, PA) hits from a closed stance and showed good opposite field power with consistent barrel contact. He recorded a triple and single on the day.
