Colby Canales (2020 3B, Orange, CA) Athletic player with present strength throughout. Worked
from a wide stance and utilizing a simple toe tap trigger to stay on time
consistently. Longer path into contact staying on plane with the ball for an
extended period of time. Shows fluidity with a direct path to contact looking
to pull the ball and creating jump to the gap through a naturally leveraged bat
path.
Bada Kim (2021 C, La Cresenta, CA) Utilizes rotational actions into contact looking to
work the barrel head out in front and drive the ball to the gaps. Line drive
plane through the zone with an athletic ability to repeat mechanics in the box.
Shows feel for the barrel with a more contact-oriented approach to hitting.
Jack Scrofano (2021 OF, Corona, CA) Fluid actions in the box with an easy amount of
repeatability. High amount of barrel speed through the zone on a naturally
lifted bat path. Creates linear drift into contact and driving hard off the
backside.
Samuel Garcia (2020 1B, Wilmington, NC) Large frame in the box with present strength throughout.
Uses his lower half strength well with good rotational and torque from the
lower half. Impacts the baseball with hard and loud jump with consistency
looking to create elevation to all fields.
Travis Royal (2022 2B, Arroyo Grande, CA) Quick actions with a simple swing and a direct hand
path to the baseball. Can works line drive contact to all fields swinging with
intent on a fluid, line drive plane through the zone. Repeats mechanics well
and has an idea with turning the barrel out in front.
Aundruw Sweet (2020 RHP, Eastvale, CA) One of the better rounds of the day showing a pure
power approach and a natural ability to get the ball into the air. Swings the
bat with the intent to do damage and consistently drove the ball to the deep
parts of the field. Creates barrel speed through the zone while staying compact
to the baseball.
Ian Guthrie (2020 C, Austin, TX) Compact path to contact showing rotational actions
and the ability to turn on the baseball with authority. Gets the barrel head
through the zone and turns the bat well. Works mostly to the middle of the
field with the ability to use the whole field without sacrificing any power.
Davis Hodges (2022 LHP, Kennesaw, GA) Very fluid stroke through the zone on a naturally
lifted barrel plane. Combines a strong ability to control the barrel with his
present strength throughout to show a high contact approach while driving the
ball well to the gaps. Works to elevate the baseball when squared up.
Magnus Dunn (2020 OF, Ellicott City, MD) Hands start forward and really transfers the weight
onto the backside during the load. Swings with intent and getting into a rhythm
early on. Best contact comes when working out in front and to the pull side
really impacting the baseball.
Nicholas Day (2020 RHP, Arcadia, CA) High amount of jump off the barrel through a hard
and quick swing path. Middle of the field approach with a consistent round of
batting practice. Varies the amount of jump off the barrel but can really
create carry when able to work to the pull side, but consistently squared up
the ball.
Erik Brown (2020 OF, Fresno, CA) Creates bat speed through the zone with strength
in the hands at the point of contact. Controls the barrel well with a middle of
the field to pull side approach. Consistently drive the ball on a line. Very
solid round overall.
