1/12/2020 11:42:24 AM

Special recognition goes out to Perfect Game's batting practice pitcher, Steve Dollas, who threw all 15 teams of the combined three showcase event on Saturday.  He even said he could probably throw a few more teams on Sunday if we'd had more BP.  It's believed to be the first time in PG showcase history that a BP pitcher has thrown to 15 teams in one day and he was nails from the first team to the last.

Jacob Sullens (2022 OF, Keller, TX) is an excellent all around athlete and that athleticism extended to the plate as well.  The right handed hitter has present bat speed from a short and quick swing and power to the left centerfield gap.

Braden Montgomery (2021 OF, Madison, MS) is a switch-hitter with a short and quick contact swing from the left side but a much fuller and faster right handed swing that really shows his athleticism and strength well.

Ethan Hunt (2021 C, Queen Creek, AZ) is a big and strong 6-3/225 right handed hitter with a pull side approach and can put a charge into the ball.  His swing can get long at times but he's going to run into some balls and do some damage.

Tony Pluta (2022 C, Palatine, IL) had the best fundamental "pro style" swing at the showcase and was very fluid and well synced up while also swinging with intent.  When he adds some mature muscle to his 5-7/150 build he's really going to blossom as a hitter.

Samuel Brewer (2021 OF, Chula Vista, CA) has present strength in his 6-1/190 build and lots of raw bat speed to go with it.  He hits the ball out front with a loose and fluid swing and showed plenty of pull power potential.

Corey Guevara (2021 OF, San Pedro, CA) is another player with "hitter's hands" that are quick and flexible with some hidden strength in them to drive the ball to the gaps.  He'll keep improving as he adds strength to his slender 6-2/165 frame.

Justin Smith (2021 RHP, Las Vegas, NV) has a 6-3/195 build that stands out and that strength and leverage makes the ball come off his barrel easy and hard.

Bryson Hoier (2022 OF, Paso Robles, CA) is very strong for a sophomore while still looking very projectable at 6-1/175.  He's a very aggressive right handed hitter who attacks the ball from the right handed batter's box.

Caiden Huber (2021 3B, Yucaipa, CA) is another tall and projectable young hitter at 6-3/185.  He creates big left handed bat speed with some serious barrel whip at times and is a Southern California commit.
