BP Highlights >>

8/25/2018 12:00:00 AM

Calabria Atkins (2019 C, Conyers, GA) had a solid showing with lots of physicality and strength aiding his impressive present bat speed to impact balls hard out in front. The ability to whip the barrel and get on plane quick stand out and project well going forward.

Adam Dorn (2020 SS, Kennesaw, GA) showed a loose, fluid swing path with an easy trigger and the ability to repeat the swing plane nicely. Dorn was very consistent and the low effort swing resulted in consistent, well-struck contact to pull.

Sean Desrosier (2021 OF, Midland, GA) shifts his weight nicely while keeping his hands back to create some separation and whip the barrel through the hitting zone. The present bat speed and consistency of his line drive swing plane both stand out.

Ryan Sonnier (2020 OF, Lawrenceville, GA) has all the elements of an impact swing moving forward with hand loosness, whip, and a clean swing plane. The trigger is very fast into the swing and he elevates the ball nicely while routinely working to the pull side gap.

Preston Gunnell (2021 3B, Canton, GA) liked to stay short to the ball with a direct path and turned the barrel nicely over the inside part of the plate. The gap to gap approach worked nicely with some fluidity at the point of impact.

Isaac German (2020 RHP, Clarksville, TN) got extended nicely through the point of contact while shifting his weight forward nicely and working with a fluid path. The bat speed is a solid component to the swing while his impact strength is too.

Caden Rector (2021 OF, Knoxville, TN) has a lot of things to like as the swing exudes balance, control, with a very polished approach too. The swing will continue to improve with added strength but he already does a good job creating backspin and getting the ball in the air into the gaps.

Christian Dyer (2020 SS, Sharpsburg, GA) has a nice, line drive swing plane and shows good loft through the point of extension. The weight shift is simple and consistent while the leverage to pull is impressive currently.

Matthew Peak (2020 OF, Auburn, AL) showed good impact strength through the point of extension while leveraging hard to hit consistent line drives to the pull side. There is some home run power there at present with an impressive pull side approach.

Josh Gray (2019 OF, Jacksonville, FL) leverages well with a smooth lefthanded swing plane and current power that plays nicely to all fields. He creates good carry off the barrel and the upside of the power is very intriguing.

Tanner Knowles (2022 SS, Kathleen, GA) has all the elements of a solid offensive approach with good rhythm to his hands, balance, and looseness. The swing is short and consistent and he was able to work on a line to both the pull side and up the middle.

Christian Collier (2019 OF, Ozark, AL) has a very powerful swing with significant impact strength through the point of extension. Squared balls up consistently and nicely while flashing some big power to the pull side.

Jacob Howell (2020 RHP, Sharpsburg, GA) works in the air consistently with lots of natural loft and extremely projectable pull side power. He shifts nicely with some impact strength and the swing looks very visually appealing when on time.

Joshua Cain (2019 1B, Springfield, KY) whips the barrel hard with plenty of present bat speed and gets extended nicely with natural leverage. There's home run power in the swing to pull and was very consistently working in the middle of the field and pull side.

Theo Bryant (2019 OF, Conley, GA) has good present barrel skills with impressive raw bat speed. Bryant hit lots of line drive and well-struck fly balls with present hip torque, loft, leverage, and a lot of elements to like.

Dylan Johnston (2020 C, Athens, AL) showed good balance with present bat and hand speed throughout the swing. He drives nicely off his rear leg and made consistent, well struck contact to all fields with authority and intent.

Blaze McCauley (2019 C, Dacula, GA) turned on the ball nicely and with authority showing his ability to cover the plate well and overall quickness to his hands. He hits the ball with authority to pull and has presently impressive impact strength.

Daalen Adderley (2019 SS, Chattanooga, TN) has very impressive bat speed with a controlled, balanced swing overall. The trigger to start is quick with looseness to the overall swing and looks very impressive when on time.

Maury Weaver (2019 SS, Peachtree City, GA) has pretty quick hands through the hitting zone with twitchy, loose hands. He turns the barrel over nicely with good fluidity through the point of extension.

Myles White (2020 SS, Mobile, AL) has a strength-oriented, pull-side approach with lots of leverage through the point of impact. The barrel plane is smooth through the hitting zone and gets the barrel head out nicely with projectable power.

Jack Witmer (2020 OF, McDonough, GA) has quick hands through a very consistent, line drive-oriented swing path overall. There is solid pull side pop in the swing and he turns the barrel over nicely on a compact, controlled swing.

Kevin Espiritusanto (2019 C, Palm Bay, FL) looks to punish baseballs to the pull side with natural loft while getting extended nicely. The barrel plane is smooth and consistent and the impact strength to pull is a nice asset to have.

Darian Howard (2019 1B, Atlanta, GA) has lots of strength and physicality with a very impressive, fluid line drive swing plane. The power plays nicely to all fields with natural loft and lots of jump off the barrel with good balance and consistency overall.

Jack Spyke (2021 C, Lawrenceville, GA) has a full swing path with a consistent barrel path and lots of strength at the point of contact. The swing works best when turning the barrel over the inside to pull and has a nice, linear lower half weight shift.

Blake Stowe (2019 RHP, Loganville, GA) has a compact, loose swing path with a clean, linear shift of his weight through the point of contact. He keeps his hands back nicely and creates an element of explosion to create some whip in his hands.

Brandon Prince (2019 SS, Bremen, GA) has some barrel awareness with present bat speed and wore out the pull side with well-struck line drives. Prince is short to the ball with a direct path and compact swing while still being able to get the barrel head out in front.

Harry Ford (2021 C, Kennesaw, GA) has very loose and fast hands with the ability to whip the barrel through the hitting zone nicely. There's lots of natural leverage to the swing and drives well off his backside and showing off impressive raw, pure bat speed.

Billy Kosmala (2019 1B, Lilburn, GA) has lots of strength on his well-built frame with good extension through the point of contact. He worked to the pull side and middle of the field consistently and the power is going to come in roves in the near future.

Alex Johnson (2021 C, Montgomery, AL) fires his hips nicely through the point of extension. He uncoils nicely upon contact and whips the barrel hard to create a lot of well-struck contact when working to pull.

Calvin Lofton (2021 SS, Sarah, MS) maintains his barrel really nicely through the swing with looseness to his hands while maintaining balance as he strides forward. The swing is fairly compact and made consistent, line drive contact to pull and up the middle.

Cal McCallum (2019 2B, Tallahassee, FL) gets on plane nicely and quickly that allows his barrel to remain in the hitting zone for a long time. He extends and gets the barrel out in front nicely while turning the barrel over with intent.

Kevin Kilpatrick (2019 OF, Stockbridge, GA) showed off a lot of impressive raw pull side power with a number of no-doubt shots during the round. Kilpatrick made consistent, loud contact to the pull side while flashing a clean line drive swing plane, but the power was extremely impressive.

Michael Gracer (2021 IF, Concord, NC) has a lot of physicality that he transfers nicely through his strong swing. He has some juice to the pull side while looking to lift the ball and fires his hips nicely through contact with impact strength.

Bo Gatlin (2019 SS, Oxford, MS) took a very loud session towards the end of the day with three home runs during the round. Gatlin has a lot of balance while repeating the swing well and creating serious leverage and juice to the pull side.
