Daniel Knudson (2019 OF, Menomonee Falls, WI) Knudson showed off the ability to handle the stick with a solid idea of how to hit. His bat path stays fluid on a line drive plane. He's able to stay in the middle of the field, hitting consistent hard line drives.
Lorenz Elion (2019 SS, Chicago, IL) Displayed a lot of hand quickness to contact with a consistent barrel plane. Had a lot of line drive contact. His projectable frame should allow him to improve his power to all fields as he continues to add strength.
Alec Patino (2020 3B, Sioux City, IA) Patino put on one of the better displays of pure hitting ability throughout the day. He's got a solid build and utilizes it well in his swing, generating hard contact out in front. He stayed on time with some solid jump off the barrel, getting leverage when meeting the ball out front.
Reece Anderson (2019 OF, Johnston, IA) Anderson utilized a bit of a rotational swing in which he was able to get the foot down early and drive the ball with intent. His best swings came when staying to the pull side of the field with a pure line drive bat path.
Beck Anshutz (2019 3B, Des Moines, IA) All-around strong hitter. Barreled the ball over and over again, while displaying some strong jump off the bat, mainly to the left side of the field. Swings with the intent to drive the ball and gets some hard leverage meeting the ball out front.
Adam Brauch (2020 SS, Waukee, IA) Brauch sets up in a pre-loaded position which allows him to generate good torque throughout the lower half. His fluid swing and quick hands on a flat plane allow him to square the ball up and drive it all fields.
Jon Jenkins (2020 1B, Olathe, KS) Jenkins produced some of the louder contact of the day. He put his power bat on display during batting practice with strong gap-to-gap carry on the ball. He is able to repeat his stroke while connecting on the ball out in front of the plate with a naturally lifted path to contact.
Andrue Henry (2020 1B, Dubuque, IA) An easy hand path while swinging with intent allows Henry to get some pop off the barrel of the bat. He stays up the middle of the field with ease and shows some tools with good contact as well as in the power potential field.
Sawyer Nauman (2021 3B, Peosta, IA) Nauman is a simple hitter who keeps himself quiet as the ball is coming. Made hard consistent contact. Best balls came when staying to the pull side, but he also displayed hard jump to both gaps.
Jace Notbohm (2019 C, Miles City, MT) Showed off the power threat in the bat during batting practice. He's a strong swinger and keeps his hitting mechanics simple and repeatable. Smooth linear shift to contact allows him to stay in the middle of the field connecting on hard line drives.
Wade Canaday (2019 3B, Marshalltown, IA) Canaday is another simple hitter with quick hands to the ball. He's able to let the ball get deep and catch up, which allows him to drive the ball to all fields. His line drive approach bodes well with his high contact ability.
Alec Nigut (2020 OF, Des Moines, IA) Nigut has a very respectable power potential with the bat. He had multiple balls that ricocheted off the wall in left. His best jump came to the pull side but he was able to make solid contact to all fields with consistency.
Evan Appelwick (2021 SS, Madison, SD) Appelwick is able to keep his mechanics at the plate very simple, which allows him to repeat easily. He swings the bat hard and generates gap-to-gap power well. That pop should translate well with his swing as he continues to add strength down the line.
Taylor Brodersen (2019 C, Corcoran, MN) Has some lean back in his swing which allows him to get under the ball some with a clean linear shift into contact. He swings with hard intent and utilizes a slightly leveraged plane out front.
Nick Banowetz (2020 C, Robins, IA) One of the best pure contact hitters in the group. Showed a lot of quickness in his bat through zone. He gets on plane early and connects with the ball on a line drive path. Doesn't show much jump off the barrel but it should come with maturity.
Tyler Tscherter (2020 SS, Reinbeck, IA) Tscherter continually showed a fluid swing at the plate. He's a smooth swinger that developed strong jump when getting out in front of the pitch. Really impressed more and more as the round progressed.
Ghavin James (2019 1B, Crystal Lake, IL) Strong frame and utilizes it well in his swing. Pure pull side hitter and elevates the ball well. Was able to leverage the ball and get solid carry to the deep parts of the field.
Michael Boeve (2020 3B, Hastings, NE) Boeve utilizes a line drive bat path with a high leg kick, with the intent to get under the ball with back spin and drive it. He should really develop nicely into a power threat with an already strong presence in the box.
Joseph Harris (2020 1B, Marshalltown, IA) Had one of the best rounds of the day with extreme jump off the bat. Consistently drive the ball into the right field corner and showed off a huge power threat. He handles the bat well and doesn't need to sacrifice contact for the power.
