Adam Schneider (2019 SS, Altoona, IA) The Altoona, IA native utilized a compact hand path to contact that generated a clean line drive barrel plane through the zone. Schneider consistently worked to the middle of the field but flashed the bat speed to run the barrel and work pull side as well.
Jack Young (2020 SS, Leclaire, IA) The 2020 grad repeatable a clean, fluid line drive swing plane throughout batting practice. Young flashed solid bat speed that created good jump to the gaps when squared.
Jevon Mason (2018 OF, West Des Moines, IA) Mason, an Iowa Western CC commit displayed good strength at plate with natural leverage. The West Des Moines, IA native drove the ball with authority to pull side and projects for additional power with maturity.
Aaron Downs (2021 SS, Pella, IA) The 2020 prospect utilized an aggressive approach while generating present bat speed through extension. Downs looked to drive the ball through each gap with intent yet was able to maintain balance throughout his swing.
Drake Frazier (2019 OF, Cedar Rapids, IA) Frazier, a South Dakota State commit, consistently drove the ball with authority throughout batting practice. The 2019 grad utilized a clean, linear barrel plane that produced natural leverage. Frazier continuously drove the ball through the gaps with ease.
Coy Sarsfield (2021 OF, Marion, IA) The Marion, IA native generated good bat speed with present strength for his 5-foot-8 frame. Sarsfield utilized an uphill swing plane that created tight back spin off the barrel to each gap.
Levi Usher (2018 OF, Fairfax, IA) Usher, a Perfect Game All-American Classic Participant, showed a extremely smooth swing path that created easy bat speed through the zone. Usher consistently barreled the baseball throughout batting practice showing the ability to control the bat head with ease.
Casey Sole (2019 C, Cedar Falls, IA) A Southeast Missouri State commit, utilized a naturally leveraged swing path that generated good carry to the gaps. Sole stays behind contact well maintaining a strong, powerful hitting position to all parts of the zone.
Benji Brokemond (2019 SS, Chicago, IL) The Miami (OH) commit consistently drove the baseball to all parts of the field using a very simple, repeatable line drive barrel plane. Brokemond shows excellent barrel control that well play well at the top of the order at the next level.
Jonah Hoeg (2020 1B, Prior Lake, MN) The Prior Lake, MN native consistently drove the ball to each gap while utilizing a balanced approach. Hoeg generated good linear shift into contact with his lower half that produces solid strength at the point of contact.
Alex Pendergast (2020 MIF, West Des Moines, IA) The 2020 grad showed good balance throughout his swing while attacking the baseball with aggression. The West Des Moines, IA native displayed good raw power at the plate with solid carry to the pull side gap.
Carter Baumler (2020 RHP, Grimes, IA) Baumler, a primary right handed pitcher, also impressed at the plate today. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect produced very good leverage at contact and consistently barrel to ball to the middle of the field. The 2020 grad also showed the ability to turn to barrel with aggression driving two balls off to left field wall in batting practice.
Nick Buttolph (2020 1B, West Des Moines, IA) The 6-foot-2, 235-pound first baseman displayed excellent strength at the plate with projectable raw power. Buttolph looked to connect with the baseball out front while aggressive turning the barrel to contact.
Brendan Wienold (2019 OF, Chicago, IL) The outfield prospect out of Chicago, IL utilized a fluid, slightly lifted barrel plane to create hard contact throughout batting practice. Wineold swing with intent, but is able to maintain his balance to use each gap.
Casey Young (2020 LHP, Winterset, IA) Young was another primary pitcher who swung the bat well during batting practice. The 2020 grad utilized a balance, mid field approach. Showed good fluidity throughout his swing with solid jump off the barrel when working to pull side.
