2022 South Uncommitted Showcase (2023 Grads) (11/05/2022 - 11/06/2022)

Marcos Roman (2023, C, San Antonio, TX) turned on a fastball on the inner half of the plate for an easy single down the line. Roman collected his second hit of day by ripping a ball back up the middle for another base hit. 

Anders Graff (2023, OF, The Woodlands, TX) found one of the loudest barrels on the day crushing a ball back up the middle for a double.  

Luke Barre (2023, RHP, Houston, TX) continues to hit on the weekend as he lined a ball to left for a base hit. He also impressed on the mound going 3 strong innings with 4ks. 

Aidan Goude (2023, OF, Houston, TX) showed a lot to like off the bump even though the box score wasn’t great. He ramped his fastball up to 89 with some run. Also showed some feel to really spin it with a slider that had good horizontal tilt. He also crushed a deep fly ball off the left field wall. His second double in as many days off the wall. 

Quint Mullen (2023, SS, Cedarpark, TX) collected a pair of hits on the day including a well struck ball back up the middle for a big rbi hit. 

Steven Mills (2023, C, Spring, TX) showed good ability to drive the ball the other way as he lined a base hit to right. 

Mason Rego (2023, 3B, Castle Rock, CO) had a really nice outing ramping his fastball up to 83 and was able to locate it in on hitters well. He flashed a good breaking ball that he could drop in for strikes. 

Justin Lanier (2023, OF, Laredo, TX) continued to hit today as he collected a pair of base hits. He showed the ability to hit the ball the other way with authority.

Quint Mullen (2023 SS, Cedarpark, TX) has some physicality and sprayed the field with a good bit of hard line drive contact from a short, quick stroke.

Cole Cosby (2023 C, Lumberton, TX) swings the bat hard and has some strong hands, giving him the ability to really ambush some baseballs out front and hammer them to the middle.

Luke Barre (2023 RHP, Houston, TX) is a big physical right-handed bat with a short, clean swing and and he's able to leverage with ease producing some long lofted contact pull side.

Aidan Goude (2023 OF, Houston, TX) took one of the better rounds of the '23s showing no problem working the barrel out front consistently with some strength and producing hard line drive contact more often than not.

Aric Hickman (2023 1B, Temple, TX) is another physical bat who takes big swings and using both the strength and leverage to hit some a long way when connected.

Matthew Torres (2023 C, Houston, TX) stays short to it with an easy stroke and clean path that allows him to use his physicality and overall quickness to produce hard contact.

Mason Rego (2023 3B, Castle Rock, CO) is a very physical right-handed hitter with some of the better strength of the group, staying simple and letting it eat on some hammered shots to deep parts of the pull side.

MJ Liyeos (2023, RHP, Naperville, IL) sat in the mid 80s during his outing and touched 87 with some arm minor arm side run. Slider had sharp late bite sitting in the low 70s. Flashed a change with some fade. He struck out 5 batters in 3 innings. 

Quint Mullen (2023, SS, Cedar Park, TX) ripped an opposite field single for 2-rbis in the first. Has a nice short compact swing that is direct and to the ball. 

Starling Beverding (2023, RHP, Tomball, TX) worked quick and efficiently in his outing striking out 6 batters over the course of 3 innings. His fastball got up to 85 and sat 81. Worked in a nice curve with tight spin. He also came through with an rbi single to right later in the game. 

Justin Patterson (2023, RHP, Weatherford, TX) goes 3 strong innings with 3ks. Fastball sat in the low 80s with some run. Forced a ton of weak contact and late swings. Showed some feel to spin it as well with a sharp breaking ball that had late bite. 

Cole Cosby (2023, C, Lumberton, TX) also went 3 strong innings with 3-4ks. His fastball sat in the low 80s and got up to 84. Worked in a nice curve with late bite as well. 

Justin Lanier (2023, OF, Laredo, TX) smoked a triple down the right field line for his second hit of the game. He showed ability to drop the head and really drive the ball while getting into his lower half nicely. 

Luke Barre (2023, RHP, Houston, TX) hit a deep fly ball over the centerfielders head for a triple. He showed good ability to work the count and sit on his pitch. The ball was loud off the bat and was his second hit on the day. 

Aric Hickman (2023, 1B, Temple, TX) came up big at the plate today collecting a pair of base hits. Both hits were loud as he found the barrel both times including a 2-run single to left.  

Sloane Reves (2023, RHP, Baytown, TX) goes 3 innings while striking out 5. His fastball sat in the upper 70s and touched 80. Showed some feel to spin it as well with a slow looping curve. 

Aidan Goude (2023, OF, Houston, TX) collected 3 hits on the day including an extremely loud one he hit off the left-center field wall. The ball absolutely jumps off his bat. The swing is quick and compact and direct to the ball with some sneaky pop.
