MJ Liyeos (2023, RHP, Naperville, IL) sat in the mid 80s during his outing and touched 87 with some arm minor arm side run. Slider had sharp late bite sitting in the low 70s. Flashed a change with some fade. He struck out 5 batters in 3 innings.
Quint Mullen (2023, SS, Cedar Park, TX) ripped an opposite field single for 2-rbis in the first. Has a nice short compact swing that is direct and to the ball.
Starling Beverding (2023, RHP, Tomball, TX) worked quick and efficiently in his outing striking out 6 batters over the course of 3 innings. His fastball got up to 85 and sat 81. Worked in a nice curve with tight spin. He also came through with an rbi single to right later in the game.
Justin Patterson (2023, RHP, Weatherford, TX) goes 3 strong innings with 3ks. Fastball sat in the low 80s with some run. Forced a ton of weak contact and late swings. Showed some feel to spin it as well with a sharp breaking ball that had late bite.
Cole Cosby (2023, C, Lumberton, TX) also went 3 strong innings with 3-4ks. His fastball sat in the low 80s and got up to 84. Worked in a nice curve with late bite as well.
Justin Lanier (2023, OF, Laredo, TX) smoked a triple down the right field line for his second hit of the game. He showed ability to drop the head and really drive the ball while getting into his lower half nicely.
Luke Barre (2023, RHP, Houston, TX) hit a deep fly ball over the centerfielders head for a triple. He showed good ability to work the count and sit on his pitch. The ball was loud off the bat and was his second hit on the day.
Aric Hickman (2023, 1B, Temple, TX) came up big at the plate today collecting a pair of base hits. Both hits were loud as he found the barrel both times including a 2-run single to left.
Sloane Reves (2023, RHP, Baytown, TX) goes 3 innings while striking out 5. His fastball sat in the upper 70s and touched 80. Showed some feel to spin it as well with a slow looping curve.
Aidan Goude (2023, OF, Houston, TX) collected 3 hits on the day including an extremely loud one he hit off the left-center field wall. The ball absolutely jumps off his bat. The swing is quick and compact and direct to the ball with some sneaky pop.
