2 - Orange vs 1 - Columbia Blue >>

11/6/2022 4:11:15 PM

RHP Adrian Ruiz - Magallanes ('27 TX) was really on top of his game during his first inning of work for Team Columbia Blue. He only needed 12 pitches to get 3 outs. He struck out 2 with a nice FB/CB combo. The was FB was in the 71-73 mph range with a 11-5 CB that was in the mid 60's. Located the FB well to both sides and used the CB to keep hitters honest. He would punch out 3 while only allowing 1 hit.

1B/3B Landon Victorian ('28 TX) continued to yet again today, to display strength at the plate on Day 2 action. Victorian showed the ability to turn on a FB and rocket it down the 3rd base line for a double. Pull-side hitter for now, but will get better and use more of the field as he matures.

RHP Ty Lane ('27 OK) shows a young, solid frame at 5-foot-9, 145-pounds. He has broad shoulder at should grow and add strength as the matures. On the mound, he would throw 2 innings for Team Orange. He ran his FB up to 73 mph and flashed a 11/5 CB in the mid 60's. Lane would strike out 3 and allow two hits.

RHP/UT Kyle Behan ('28 TX) pitched 2 solid innings of hitless baseball for Team Columbia Blue. He has developing arm strength at the moment but was able to use a FB/CB mix to created weak, soft outs. Behan likes to pitch to contact and is not afraid to use his CB in FB counts. At the plate, he was able find a barrel and rip a triple down to RF.

RHP/3B Luke Loving ('27 TX) is solid two-way player for Team Orange. He swings the bat well at the plate from the left-side and made some solid contact on Day 2. He was also on the mound. He ran his FB up to 76 mph and used a 61 mph CB on occasion. 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame and should add more muscle down the road. Bright future ahead for Loving.

1 - Columbia Blue vs 2 - Orange Game Highlights >>

11/5/2022 5:00:00 AM

RHP Even Jessop (’27 TX) showed a solid three-pitch during his time on the mound for the Orange Team. He was able to locate the FB for strikes and land the CB with ease. He liked running the FB into RHH’s. He was also able to create weak ground balls and pop ups. Jessop would strike out 4 in 3 innings pitched

3B/RHP Luke Loving (‘27 TX)) showed off some projectable talent at the plate. He was able to drive the FB that went over the centerfielders head for an easy, standup double. He would again hit a double to the RCF gap. Solid and young frame. Stands 6-foot-1, 165-pounds.

LHP/1B/OF Samuel Arrendell (’27, TX) used his 5-foot-10 frame to over-power hitters. He used his FB that was in the 74 to 77 mph range, that had slight running act to it. He also flashed a CB that had 1-7 shape and in the low 60s. Arrendell was able to punch out 7 during his 3 innings on the mound. The LHH also collected 3 singles on the day going 3-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Jaylen Finley (’27 TX) collected two hits at the plate today. Finley is only 13 and stands 5-foot-2 as a RHH and outfielder. He projects to grow more down the road. The swing is simple and easy, and he makes contact out front.

Landon Victorian (’28 TX) displayed some strength at the plate for the Columbia Blue Team. The young RHH hitter is only 13 years old. He showed the ability to turn on a FB and drive it deep to the LCF gap for a stand-up double and RBI. Victorian is 5-foot-7, 150-pounds. He is a primary C/1B/3B.
