Caleb Reclusado handled a hanging breaking ball easily by lining a double over the centerfielder's head in his first at-bat. In his second at-bat Caleb beautifully handled an up and away fastball to shoot a liner over the right fielder's head for a stand-up triple.  Smooth and easy swing. Caleb also through it well on the mound. With a fastball at 74 and off speed at 62 (1938 spin rate), Caleb struck out 4 through 2 innings of work. 

Stephon Fuentes is another guy who had a solid two-way day. Offensively Fuentes had a liner back up the middle on an inside fastball.  Fuentes ran the bases well adding 2 stolen bases to his stat line. On the mound Fuentes notched 3 strikeouts through 2 innings of work. 

Daniel Martin threw 2 innings today in his game.  Tallied 3 strikeouts and commanded the zone throughout his outing.  Martin was up to 75mph on his fastball while sitting 71-73.  Solidly built kid with a smooth, repeatable motion.

Austin Loughrin smashed a ball over the left fielder's head in his second at-bat of the game.  Austin has easy pop and room to fill out his frame.  He has been able to show quick hands throughout the event. 

Cayden Mitchell swinging a strong bat in his last at-bat today. Cayden muscled a hanging breaking ball over the center fielder's head for a stand up double. Cayden also had a stolen base tallied to his stat sheet as well.

Grant Hays with solid two-way performer today.  Offensively Hays one hopped the left field wall with a loud double on an elevated fastball.  Hays has solid hand speed will improve with maturity. On the bump Hays commanded the zone well with 3 strikeouts over the course of his outing. 

Dylander Wattles with possibly the loudest hit of the day.  Wattles handled an elevated fastball and took it for a deep drive to left center for an easy stand up double.

Zowen Watson easily had the best performance of the game.  Starting offensively, Watson reached base on both plate appearances including a hard hit line drive down the left field line for an RBI triple.  Watson also ran the bases very aggressively tallying 2 stolen bases and was quick to pickup an extra base in the infielders weren't paying attention.  Defensively Watson look smooth as ever at short, getting around the baseball well to make a firm throw to first base. 

Luis Medina had a solid two-way performance today.  Starting on the mound he three shutout innings tallying 4 strikeouts.  Medina seemed to lean heavy on a solid curveball that he could throw for a strike in any count.  He was also able to locate his fastball, up to 73mph, well for strikes.  At the plate Medina had a loud barrel single back up the middle for a single in his second at-bat of the day. 

Stephon Fuentes had a productive day at the plate going 2 for 2 with an RBI today. One of his hits was a crisp single to right center on a breaking ball.  Fuentes showed the ability to keeps his hands back effectively and take the pitch the other way.

Cayden Mitchell, with a solid offensive performance today.  Mitchell had loud single to left center on an elevated fastball. Once on the bases Mitchell did everything he could on the base paths to score, whether it was taking aggressive secondary leads or swiping bags. 

Jackson Lang, with a solid two-way performance in today's game.  Jackson had his teams one RBI with a single to the opposite field.  On the bump Jackson was able to consistently fill up the zone to give his a defense a chance to make plays.

Luis Medina had an impressive double to the opposite field today in his first at-bat. Luis handled a two strike, away fastball as well as he could have by letting it get deep and taking it the other way.

Daniel Martin had a great game at the plate going 2 for 2 with loud contact both at-bats. Daniel was able to hit the ball with authority to all fields on both fastballs and off speed. Daniel also showed well behind the dish as a catcher.  He showed the ability to receive the ball well and block balls in the dirt. 

Austin Loughrin, making the blog again in his second game of the day.  Austin displayed the ability to take the outside pitch the other way with a crisp single.  Austin also showed well on the mound topping at 73mph with a 12/6 curveball with 1949 spin rate.  He commanded the zone well and threw plenty of strikes.

Noah Sumner with the longest ball hit today. Noah had an impressive double hit over the left fielder in his first at-bat of the game. His short, compact swing made it easy to get his hands through the zone. 

Paul Watts with the most impressive pitching performance so far today.  Commanded the zone from the first pitch and on.  Paul sat 75-77mph and topped at 78mph.  He struck out 5 through his 3 innings of work.  Watts has a very athletic build with a smooth, repeatable motion to the plate.

Ryan Astorga, with a good two way showing today.  Recording three, 3 up 3 down innings.  On the mound Ryan displayed solid command of the strike zone, working ahead in counts.  At the plate Ryan was able to show the ability to get his hands through on an inside fastball, that he turned on for a double down the left field line. 

Austin Loughrin had a good day at the plate.  Through his 2 at bats Austin recorded a sac fly and a crisp single to left field.  The single to left stood out as he displayed the ability to handle inside fastballs with ease. 

DJ Betzsold came up big for the Grey team with an RBI single to left to get the scoring started for his team.  DJ sat back on the breaking ball that he drove to the outfield with some authority. I was pleased to see his ability to keep his hands back on the offspeed.
