Luis Sosa (2027, Thomasville, N.C.) is a 5-foot-3, 128-pound primary catcher who turned in a multi-hit game in the win. Landen Johnson (2028, Hampton, S.C.) is a 6-foot, 140-pound primary righthanded pitcher and first baseman who turned in a 1-for-2 day at the plate with a run scored, RBI, and triple. On the three-bagger, Johnson got the bat head out and generated nice leverage to drive the ball with carry to the gap. A good athlete, Johnson moved well on the bases with aggression and acumen, never slowing down thinking three out of the box. Landen has noticeable feel for the leather at first with ability to receive all throws and hard contact off the bat at the corner spot.
Chandler Smith (2027, Vidalia, Ga.) is a 5-foot-6, 150-pound primary outfielder and righthanded pitcher who showcased pitchability on the mound during his clean inning of work. Needing just nine pitches to complete his assignment, Smith filled the zone nearly 80% and produced swing-and-miss result the entire time with his repertoire. Smith’s mix of a fastball in the mid-60’s, and a curveball with good shape in the mid-50’s, baffled his opponent on his way to no hits and two-strikeouts.
Halen Bennett (2026, Cartersville, Ga.) is a 6-foot-1, 140-pound, tall, strong and projectable primary shortstop who displayed keen actions in all phases. At the plate, Halen turned in a multi-hit game, with twitch, a direct swing path, and good torque generation with his lower half. With present power to the gaps and feel for wood, Bennett consistently got the bat head out to make strong contact in each at-bat. A good athlete, Bennett looks the part in the infield with first step-quickness, feel for the glove, and a strong arm across.
Jake Brannon (2027, Milton, Ga.) made impressive contact during the contest ending the day 1-for-2 with a triple, RBI and run scored. At the plate, Brannon displays patience and works into fastball counts during each at-bat. With comfortability in the box, Brannon looks the part at 6-foot, 155-pounds, with a clean level to high left-handed swing path that stays through the hitting zone a long time, aiding his success. A primary outfielder, Brannon tracks hard hit results well and has the necessary range and feel for the glove to make all plays hit his way.
