Gray Vs. Columbia Blue Highlights >>

8/14/2022 5:33:57 PM

Landon Anderson (2027, Cypress, CA) was a solid two-way standout as he collected a solid base knock up the middle and pitched well in relief. Feel for the game is impressive at the age and really let’s it come to him. Good barrel control and on-plane ability with the bat. Mixes tempos on the hill. Solid day and well-rounded performance.

Asher Wright (2027, Irvine, CA) found a loud barrel and impressed with the stick on Day 2. Wright had one of the more impressive BP rounds and it showed up in game, striping a middle-in fastball through the right side. Good strength in the frame that should only mature and develop. Has intent and direction in the box. Also ran it up to high-70s from the left side, clean arm action.

Dylan Hyman (2026, Los Angeles, CA) striped one to the pull for a solid pair of base hits. Already shows some looseness in the hands and good quickness through the zone. Finished with a couple knocks on the day. Solid impact at contact that should only develop as the frame matures and fills out. Solid day at the plate following some impressive BP swings. Hyman also has some bounce on the dirt and made his impact known.

Alex Guzman (2027, Sahuarita, AZ) had a promising batting practice and it showed up in game as he lifted a well-placed fastball to center field for a knock. Physical presence in the box and has some present strength in the hands. There’s a lot to like going forward and has some untapped upside in the stick as the frame develops.

Aze Martinez (2027, Moreno Valley, CA) had a pair of solid hits and showed out on the bump in relief. Enticing two-way ability that really stood out on the day. Some quickness and intent in the hands. Good speed and athleticism on the base paths, can reach top gear. Has some array of skills that continue to develop.

Eli Leone (2027, Las Vegas, NV) stood out once again in a three hit outing. Worked the entire field and showed his easy athleticism in the process. Immediate burst out of the box with quick strides to beat out infield singles. Hustles in all facets of his game and showed some feel for the barrel this week. Enticing product as he matures and grows.

Owen Digenan (2027, Poway, CA) had a loud outing on the hill last night, and followed it up with the stick on Day 2. Digenan had one of the loudest barrels of the age group, crushing an RBI double to deep center field. Impressive two-way ability. Shows some strength and lift in the path with great intent. Digenan has made his presence felt in multiple ways and has impressed along the way.

Mason Maddox (2027, Garden Grove, CA) had a solid 2-for-3 day with a couple knocks back up the middle. Solid barrel control and hands that stay on plane. Has a plan in the box and executers it on most occasions. Pretty solid performance with several eyes in attendance.

Columbia Blue vs. Gray Highlights >>

8/13/2022 11:50:47 PM

Owen Digenan (2027, Poway, CA) was awfully impressive on the hill and displayed his two-way athleticism in all facets. Real athletic delivery that gets down the slope well. Six strikeouts over three solid innings and ran the fastball up to 78 mph. The curveball is a tight 11-5 breaker that has refined shape for the age and can really blossom as the frame matures. Digenan is an athletic two-way presence, his drills translated to in-game action with several physical tools that can really blossom.

Eli Leone (2027, Las Vegas, NV) showed out on both sides. Made a diving grab at second base to steal away a potential base hit. Also had a day at the plate and striped one back up the middle for a base hit. Intriguing athletic product that produced on offense and defense. Good quickness to the hands at the plate with softer, clean transfers on the dirt.

Joaquin Ojeda (2027, Panorama City, CA) was effective in relief with a running fastball in the mid-70s and flashing feel for a tighter slider in the high-60s. Potent two-pitch mix for the age that really stood out. Arm talent was present in drills and it has shown up in games, as well. Name to keep a close eye on going forward.

Michael Minor II (2026, Moreno Valley, CA) collected an RBI knock back up the middle in one of his at-bats. Shows some easy hands at the plate and creates good extension. Solid presence for the age with a lot more in the frame. He was a solid offensive product and really competed on both sides.

Joshua Garcia (2027, Shawnee, KS) found a solid barrel back up the middle for a loud base hit. He striped a middle-in fastball where it was given and showed solid barrel control along the way. Steady hands at the plate with a lot of physical projection remaining in the frame.

Brayden Martinez (2028. Highland, CA) was real effective at his age and held his own at the plate. He made his fair share of solid contact and finished 1-for-3 on the day. Showed the ability to use the entire field in batting practice, and it translated to in-game action in a big way. Martinez opened eyes with his comfort at the plate.

2022 13u/14u West Coast Prospect Showcase Batting Practice Highlights >>

8/13/2022 9:21:20 PM

Moises Biezonsky (2026, Torrance, CA) showed promising traits as the frame continues to mature. Developing bat speed with some ease to the path. Creates extension out front and stayed true in his approach up the middle. Some notable things to keep an eye on going forward.

Alex Guzman (2027, Sahuarita, AZ) was another solid presence in his round. Showed a direct path with the ability to stay on plane. Can show more promise as the frame continues to physically mature and add strength.

Douglas Davis (2027, Las Vegas, NV) had a consistent round and stayed up the middle. Worked the barrel well for the age. The frame really projects as he continues to add strength. Plays with good effort and made quite an impression.

Joshua Garcia (2027, Shawneee, KA) worked the pull side well in his round with good amounts of quickness and intent that stood out at the age. Big jump off the barrel and found a few pull-side liners. Consistent hard contact at his age was awfully impressive.

Asher Wright (2027, Irvine, CA) had one of the more impressive rounds at his age group, finding hard screamers to the pull side. Pretty consistent course with good strength at impact. Present strength in the hands can really impact the ball at his age and it shows. Really impressive showing at the plate.

Landon Anderson (2027, Cypress, CA) features an athletic look in the box and really translated on Saturday. Found several solid liners to the pull side with good intent. Quicker hands for the age with some intent in the path. Athleticism can translate offensively as the frame matures and grows.

Aze Martinez (2027, Moreno Valley, CA) has a quick, direct swing that stood out in his round. Did a great job staying up the middle and not trying to do too much. Able to take it where it’s given at the age. Lots to work with as the frame matures down the road.

Kaza Nishiba (2026, San Diego, CA) has a pretty swing for the age and showed it. Swing gets on plane early with some ease to the path. Frame oozes physical projection along with his barrel skills at the plate.

Owen Digenan (2027, Poway, CA) found some late barrels in his round and gives an athletic look in the frame. Swing on plane, real quick with present bat speed. Hands can be something special as the body matures. Keep a close eye.
