Aaron Cabrera (2022 1B, Tucson, AZ) is a tall stocky left-handed pitcher who works out of a high leg kick windup and delivers effortlessly out of a high three-quarters slot. His fastball sat 75-77 with above average arm side run, commands well down in the strike zone early in counts, missed barrels with frequency. Also, throws a 12-6 looping breaking ball at 55-58 that he was capable of throwing for strikes and inducing off balance swings. Additionally, put together a nice at bat in the bottom of the eighth before slapping a line drive into left field for a baseball hit and later scoring.
Zach Haugen (2022 3B, Chandler, AZ) athletic big frame right handed bat that can pound the baseball to all fields. He displayed a patient approach at the plate, getting himself in counts to hunt fastballs. Good feel for barrel, strong hands, quick bat, uses lower half well. Good defender at 3rd with a strong arm. High ceiling as a power hitting corner infielder. Found a barrel with a hard groundout in the game and a line drive double down the line in the ninth.
Kincaid Bergthold (2023 MIF, Tucson, AZ) is a tall right handed pitcher that operates out of stretch only with an effortless delivery and loose arm action. Fastball registers 80-83 with good downward angle to the dish and occasional arm side run that got in on the right handed hitter . He flashed a straight changeup at 72 that was located well down in the zone. Also, at the dish showed a good approach turning on an inside fastball barreling it through the 5-6 hole.
Mason Saint Hilarie (2022 OF, Tucson, AZ) is a tall athletic left handed hitter that in the top of second laced a line drive single to left center field on a fastball down away that he stayed on and got the barrel to. He uses lower well in rhythm with his strong, quick hands. Good athlete gets down the line well.
Lute Chavez (2025 C, Vail, AZ) is a small framed left hand hitting catcher that comes to the dish with a professional approach working deep into counts fouling numerous balls off before leading off the inning with a base hit up the middle on a tough pitch down below his knees. Short compact swing with above average bat speed, he later came around to score. Also showed the ability to gun down would be base runners with smooth footwork and quick from-ear release. Also, as a pitcher he works with a belt high leg kick, smooth repeatable arm action and three-quarters slot. Fastball registers 75-77 with plus arm side run and above average command to both sides of the dish. Breakingball was a looping 11-5 breaker at 62.
Ky McGary (2024 SS, Phoenix, AZ) is a twitchy athletic right handed hitting middle infielder that in the bottom of second ripped an outside fastball in the right center field gap for a rbi standup triple. He has a good feel for hitting the ball where it's pitched and displays a quick bat and the ability to find in-game barrels. Runs well. Additionally, as a pitcher McGary operates solely out of the stretch with high effort delivery and three-quarters slot, fastball sat 79-80 and was located well. Offspeed was a 11-5 breaker with not a lot of sharpness but an effective change of speed at 63.
Maika Niu (2022 SS, Mechanicsburg, PA) is an ultra athletic middle infielder with good bat speed, a short compact swing ,and gap to gap power. He displayed the hit and run tools on a fastball away in the bottom of third that he punished into the right center field gap that he came all the way around on for a 2-run inside the park homerun then again in the bottom of the seventh with a ripped double in the left centerfield gap. Plus runner. His power could improve as he matures to become another plus tool for him, exciting player to watch.
Luke Harris (2022 RHP, Waddell, AZ) is a big frame right handed pitcher that works with a smooth and repeatable drop and drive delivery. His fastball sat 81-83 with solid command to all four quadrants of the strike zone, as well as a slider at 69 that showed sharp lateral break when properly executed and a changeup at 77 that was turned over well and had a decent amount of deception. He has room to fill out and the ceiling could be pretty high when the velocity increases.
