Green vs Purple >>

9/19/2021 6:03:26 PM

Scott LaMountain (2024 1B, Keeseville, NY) crushed a deep double early in this one. Solid right-handed juice up the middle with solid power projection left. Later in the game added a 2nd hit.

Cameron Grindle (2023 RHP, Mansfield, MA) continued to put together another nice day at the showcase, this time picking up a base hit down the line, pulling his hands in for an easy stand up double to spark the Green offense.

Andrew Benvenuto (2023 LHP, Berkeley Heights, NJ) continued to swing it well for the Green team, driving in Grindle with a smoked line drive double that rolled deep into the right-center field gap, jumping off of the barrel with some authority.

Vik Vakati (2022 SS, Cromwell, CT) put a nice swing on the ball, going with a slider that was breaking away and without trying to do too much, sent the pitch the other way for a line drive single, showing extension to his swing and easy bat speed. He also ran his fastball up to 82 mph while mixing both a 12-6 shaped curveball and a short slider for strikes.

Joe Veczko (2023 C, Monroe Township, NJ) had a multi-hit day at the plate. Shows good power potential to pullside. Also shows good receiving actions behind the plate on defense.

William Waterbury (2022 OF, Oswego, NY) is having another loud day at the plate. He ripped a deep double to RF in this one. His swing has impressive looseness and bat speed to it and continues to produce.

Orange vs Gold Highlights >>

9/19/2021 2:45:48 PM

Daniel Dorman (2023 1B, Lynnfield, MA) smoked a big double to deep LCF to in the first inning of this one. Swing showed good leverage and has solid strength to it. Also had a good outing on the mound showing the ability to work his fastball well to both sides of the plate.

Alec Damen (2022 1B, Morganville, NJ) made an outstanding defensive play at third base to rob a hit and save a run. He made a full extension catch on a screaming line drive to his left. His swing is very rotational and has strength to it at the plate.

Jorge Ignacio (2023 SS, Spencer, MA) smacked a double down the LF line showing off quick hands staying inside the ball on an inside pitch. He followed it up by immediately swiping third base. Made a smooth diving play to steal a hit away on defense at shortstop as well. Gritty player that has a high baseball IQ.

Cole Patterson (2023 OF, Winchendon, MA) showed off his wheels by stealing a bag then advancing two more bases on an over throw. He had a multi-hit game yesterday and continues getting on base at a high clip in this one.

Nick Mirando (2022 1B, Larchmont, NY) worked well on the mound showing good fastball command and feel to spin a breaking ball. His fastball had some late movement to it and consistently was missing barrels. He throws from a three quarters arm slot with shorter arm action.

Jean Nunez (2022 SS, New York, NY) continues to show off his strong throwing arm, this time from the mound. He has a live arm and has been up to 84 MPH with good feel to spin a breaking ball. There's some rising life to his fastball and the breaking ball tunnels well.

Jake Klein (2023 C, Vernon, NJ) struck out the side in his last inning on the mound. Showed the ability to work his fastball to both sides of the plate and showed a strong 3-pitch mix. His fastball was up to 80 MPH. His leaner frame has a lot of projection left.

3- Orange vs 4- Purple Highlights >>

9/18/2021 9:04:21 PM

Jerek Hobb (2022 LHP, Rotterdam, NY) roped a nice opposite field base knock early in this one. He has a level bat plane with solid bat to ball skills from the left-side. Finished with a multi-hit game on the day. He also had a good showing on the mound showing good command of a low 80s fastball from a lower arm slot that had some life to it.

Jean Nunez (2022 SS, New York, NY) barreled up a double early on in this one as a left-handed hitter. Later, he barreled up a ball to pullside as a Right-handed hitter for a double. Impressive hit tool from both sides from the switch hitter. Had a solid BP round pre-game. Solid arm strength in the field.

William Waterbury (2022 OF, Oswego, NY) barreled up a double to straight away center field to drive in a run. He swings with solid intent and leverage. Solid athletcism and has plenty of room to fill out with his frame.

Michael Lorenzetti (2022 RHP, Bristol, CT) is pumping easy heat on the mound. His fastball has been up to 90 and is sitting ~89. Pairs it with a loose curveball. He has a massive 6'7, 200 lbs. frame and throws with serious downhill plane. Also had a base knock at the plate. Lorenzetti is currently uncommitted.

Cole Patterson (2023 OF, Winchendon, MA) had a multi-hit game and showed off a solid glove at shortstop. Shows quick hands in the box and is able to turn on a ball well on the inner half. Good barrel control in the swing.

Bobby Herzman (2025 RHP, Cheshire, CT) had a multi-hit game. Swing has a lot strength to it and shows impressive raw power to pullside. Also had a good outing on the mound.

Green vs. Gold Game Highlights >>

9/18/2021 5:58:58 PM

Cameron Grindle (2023 RHP, Mansfield, MA) immediately opened eyes with his performance on the mound, running his fastball up to 89 mph within a couple of pitches, working comfortably in the mid-80s. The arm stroke is loose and works through the backside, mixing in both a short curveball as well as a changeup. Following up his performance on the mound, Grindle showed his abilities with the bat by sending a screaming line drive single back up the middle and later tripled to the pull side gap to empty the bases.

Andrew Benvenuto (2023 LHP, Berkeley Heights, NJ) got the offense going for the Green team right away, lining a pitch back up the middle for a single, showing a handle for the barrel. Andy Briggs (2024 C, Sloatsburg, NY) followed and was able to execute a hit-and-run, going through the backside for a single to provide a spark.

Brady Ericson (2025 LHP, Brooklyn, CT) got the start for Gold and the rising freshman threw well, working down the mound well from an over-the-top slot, topping out at 75 mph with his fastball while mixing in a big overhand curveball for strikes.

After an impressive round of batting practice, Terry Morrissey (2022 OF, Andover, MA) continued to swing it well from the left side with a hard line drive single back up the middle in a left-on-left matchup.

Jake Carlisle (2024 3B, Portsmouth, NH) connected for one of the better struck balls on the day for either club, turning around a pitch to burn the left fielder for an easy standup double.

Nic Frink (2023 C, Scarborough, ME) showed off his bat speed at the plate but also his arm strength on the mound, running his fastball up to 84 mph as the ball jumped out of his hand while spinning a tight breaking ball through the zone with maintained arm speed.

Matthew Tabet (2023 3B, Wilton, CT) helped lead the offense for the Green team, picking up a pair of hits over his first two at-bats. In his first trip to the plate he hooked a line drive single into left field before going a little deeper his next AB, sending a triple deep to his pull side to plate a run. He then jumped on the mound and ran his fastball up to 84 mph with a tight, late slider and continued to swing it, picking up his third hit of the day late in the game.

Jake Klein (2023 C, Vernon, NJ) enjoyed a two-hit day at the plate for Gold, including a double that landed just past the outstretched glove of the diving right fielder in the final frame of the game. He's a primary catcher and consistently showed off his arm strength, delivering a couple strikes down to second base with true carry.

9/18/2021 4:09:59 PM

Luke Gaida (2022 SS, Westhampton, MA) showed good strength to his swing. Coils into his swing with some leverage. Solid power potential as he has plenty of room to fill out in his frame. Solid power to pullside in BP.

Noah Jordi (2024 LHP, Mendon, MA) had one of the most impressive round of BP on the day. He keeps the bat on plane extremely well with looseness. Athletic twitch is present here with solid barrel control in his left-handed swing.

Evin Curtiss (2023 1B, Simsbury, CT) swings with a narrow stance and pulls the ball with intent. Flashed solid raw power potential from the left side. Likes to pull the ball and gets the bat head to the ball well.

Matthew Jackson (2023 3B, Staten Island, NY) is well-built and shows off solid strength in his left-handed swing. Gets into his strong lower-half well and has exciting power potential to pullside. Very solid combo of athletcism and strength to this player.

Scott LaMountain (2024 1B, Keeseville, NY) made loud contact throughout his entire BP round. More power over hit tool presently. Likes to pull the ball but showed good feel to use the entire field well. Projects well with his present frame.

Terry Morrissey (2022 OF, Andover, MA) swings with a spread stance and has a very balanced swing. Gets solid extension and gets the barrel to the ball well. Lean frame with plenty of room to fill out and project more power on.
