6/9/2021 7:04:13 PM

Chase Davidson (2025 OF, Riverside, CA) was able to jump all over an inside fastball and drill it down the line for a stand up double in his first at bat.  Davidson creates good separation with his upper body which allows him to leverage balls deep into the outfield.

Jace Filleman (2025 3B, Centennial, CO) is a presently strong athlete that utilized that strength to rope a double over the left fielder’s head in his first at bat.  He added a single later in the game as well.  He has quick hands and looks to do damage on pitches left over the middle and inside parts of the plate.

Branden Keeling (2025 RHP, San Diego, CA) was able to take advantage of a mistake by the pitcher in his first at bat, resulting in a double over the center fielder’s head.  Keeling has a fluid swing and is able to make solid to all parts of the field.

Jacob Mongar (2025 RHP, Sioux Falls, SD) showed incredible two-way potential today, showing out on the mound and at the plate.  On the mound, he threw three scoreless innings, striking out three.  He sat 74-77 mph and worked up to 79 mph with the fastball and sat low to mid-60’s with the off-speed.  Offensively, he lined a ball into the left-center field gap that rolled all the way to the fence for an inside-the-park homerun.

Boston Kellner (2025 RHP, Colorado Springs, CO) showed off the quick hands and barrel control, crushing a ball deep over the fence in left field.  The pitch was up and in, but he was able to clear the hands and find the barrel for the no doubt home run.

Reid Jacobson (2025 SS, Albuquerque, NM) was dealing on the mound today, striking out four in his two innings of work.  He only surrendered one run on one hit.  Jacobson showed good command of his fastball that sat 80-83 mph and showed advanced feel for both his curveball and his slider that were at 68 mph and 75 mph, respectively.  He also displayed serious two-way potential, going 2-for-3 with a triple to deep right-center field in his last at bat.

Parker Aaron (2025 C, Thorton, CO) made the most of his opportunities, going 3-for-3 on the day.  As a switch hitter, he displayed a good feel for the barrel from both sides of the plate and showed off the speed, legging out an infield single in his last at bat.

Charlie Rakowski (2025 LHP, Littleton, CO) was able to barrel a few balls up in his opportunities and was rewarded with two base hits.  He would go on to score after both of these singles.  He has a large frame that will continue to produce loud outs as he adds strength.

Jack Carnival (2026 2B, Erie, CO) showed good patience at the plate, letting an outer half fastball get deep into the zone before depositing it into the right-center field gap for a stand up triple.  He does a nice job keeping his weight back, before turning it loose on the swing.

Luca Salvato (2025 C, Aurora, CO) ended the day on a high note, striking a ball down the left field line for a stand up double.  He did a nice job clearing his hands and getting his weight through, resulting in the loud contact.  He also showed advanced feel behind the plate, receiving and blocking well.

Carson Allen (2026 SS, Canyon, TX) showed the willingness to use all parts of the field at the plate and he was rewarded with two hits for his efforts.  He has a fluid, on-balanced swing that allows him to hit the ball wherever it is pitched.
