World BP Highlights -- Part 1
1/3/2015 10:12:28 PM
Tristin English (2015 RHP, Williamson, GA) is a PG  All-American pitcher but he's also one of the most athletic players in the 2015 class.  His right handed swing is short and quick and he made very consistent hard pull line drive contact.

Robert Montes (2015 SS, Miami, FL) has a very easy and smooth shift into contact that enables him to maximize his bat speed and ability to drive the ball with seemingly a minimum of effort.

Bryant Harris (2015 OF, Hampton, GA) is another hitter who hits "calm" but who generates very good bat speed from a simple shift and a short hand path to the ball.  He gets lots of carry and power without lots of effort to do so.

Cameron Montgomery (2015 OF, Windermere, FL) has always stood out for the strength in his arms and hands.  The ball jumps hard off his barrel, although his tendency to top spin the ball cuts down on the carry he gets when squared up.

Nicholas Shumpert (2015 SS, Lone Tree, CO) may have taken the best BP he's had at any of the numerous events he's attended, including the 2014 PG All-American Classic.  His hands and barrel were calm in his load and his power and bat speed were excellent.  He made the spacious Stadium Field look average size a couple of times.

Dexter "DJ" Neal (2015 OF, Lithonia, GA) has a bigger national reputation as a football wide receiver with a commitment to South Carolina but he has a chance to change that over the next six months.  He's a top level athlete with a smooth and powerful right handed swing.

Cesar Trejo (2015 SS, Greensboro, NC) put on a show with his aggressive full swing, bat speed and power, launching three balls easily out of the Stadium Field.  He may have to tone it down a bit for the games, but it was impressive to watch.

Brayan Ciriaco (2015 3B, Santo Domingo, DR) is a young Dominican who is eligible to sign a professional contract immediately.  He took a first rate BP, showing prospect level bat speed and power with a nice short path to the ball.
