The following players stood out during the Purple vs Orange game at the Northeast Underclass Showcase.
Brandon Jenkins (2017, RHP, Sterling HS, NJ) continued his impressive weekend on the mound topping at 88 with a fast arm. HE also mixes in a tight slider and the ball comes out easy. He also had one hit.
Colin Donnelly (2016, LHP, Immaculata, NJ) topped at 81 with his fastball and should good shape to his breaking ball.
Thomas Blandini (2016, SS/RHP, Bishop Brady, NH) went 2 for 3 with a run scored.
Mack Lauder (2016, C/IF, Horace Greeley, NY) was two for 3 with a double and run scored, the ball really jumps off his barrel.
Vinnie Martin (2017, OF/2B, Bergen Catholic, NJ) also went 2 for 3 with a triple showing good bat speed.
Philip Barnett (2016, RHP/OF/1B, Newton North, MA) went 2 for 3 with a double showing good gap power.
Michael Barrasso (2017, C/1B, St Dominics, NY), Hudson Haskin (2018, SS/RHP, Avon Old Farms, NY), and Jonathan Juri (2016, 3B/OF, Emerson, NJ) all collected a hit for the Orange Team.
Frank Vesuvio (2016, OF/RHP, Byram Hills, NY) went 1 for 2 with a double, ball jumped off his batted and kept carrying to LCF.
Alan Guild (2016, 1B/LHP, Berlin, CT) also went 1-2 with a triple showing good gap power and long smooth strides on the bases.
Conor Moriarty (2016, SS/OF, West Springfield, MA) The UCONN commit went 2 for 2 with a doulbe showing quick hands and ability to get to the inside pitch.
Chhany Minton 92016, OF/IF, Brookline, MA) has a short swing to the ball and had a double.
Colby Emmertz (2018, C Falmouth, NE), Luke Tressy (2016, INF, Westminster, CT), and Jake Walker (2016, LHP/1B, Milton HS, MA) all collected a hit for the Purple Team.
