Vegas Gold vs White Game Highlights

The following players stood out during the Vegas Gold vs White team in the Northeast Underclass showcase.

James (JP) Reiling (2016, LHP, Bishop Fenwick, MA) started for the white team and topped at 81, he also showed a good curveball with depth.  He was deceptive and threw to both sides of the plate with intent.

Christian Candelario Romero (2016, RHP/MIF, East Longmeadow, MA) went 2 for 4 on the day

Alfred Meau (2016, C/OF, Holderness, NH) showed good bat control and line drive swing plane with a triple to the LCF Gap.

Brett Tivnan (2016, OF, IMG Academy, MA) went 2 for 3 with showing good balance and the ability to stay back on the ball.

Alexander Emilio Vince III (2016, 1B/3B, Laurier acDonald, QC Canada) was 2 for 3 with a double and run scored.  

Damon DeMicco (2016, OF, St John Baptist (NY) and Ryan Kozersky (2016, 2B, Fox Lane, NY) each collected a hit for the White Team.

Anthony DeSouza (2016, RHP/MIF Malden Catholic HS, MA) started for the Vegas Gold team working 4 innings and striking out 7.  Has a quick arm and topped at 84.  He also maintained his velo throughout his outing.  He also mixed in a 68 MPH Curveball with good depth and had very good feel for a 74 MPH change up. DeSouza also went 3 for 4 at the plate with 2 doubles making consistent hard contact at the plate.

Adam Hilal (2016, LHP, Our Lady of Lourdes, NY) had a loose arm action topping at 83 with his fastball.

Jake Guggenheimer (2016, C/1B, Great Neck North, NY) went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI, flashing gap power at the plate.

Andrew Milite JR. (2016, 1B/3B/C, Iona Preparatory, NY) went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 runs scored.

Connor Wironen (2017, C/OF, Leominster, MA) was also 2 for 3 with a run scored.

Quintin Ivy (2016, OF/RHP/C/3B, Caesar Rodney, DE) went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs.  Flew out to right in his other at bat with some carry.

Christopher Newman (2016, RHP/1B, Bridgewater-Raynahm Reg, MA) may have had the hardest hit ball clearing the netting down the left field line for a 2 run Home Run.

JJ Bleday (2016, LHP/OF, Titusville, PA) followed up an impressive work out with 2 quality at bats going 2 for 3 with a triple.  The Vanderbilt commit shows good balance and bat speed at the plate.

Anthony Costa (2016, OF, West Springfield, MA) had 1 hit that registered 89 off the barrel.
