Billy Mann (2016, RHP/3B, Cardinal Gibbons HS, NC) looked comfortable and showed a good approach at the plate. Mann looks to drive the low pitches back up the middle.
Brandon Merritt (2016, OF, West Columbus HS, NC) is a gap to gap hitter with a sound hitting approach. Merritt consistently squared up pitches and is able to spray balls all over the field.
Zack Smith (2016, SS/RHP/C, Eastern Wayne HS, NC) has a fluid swing and balanced stance with tremendous bat speed and quick hands. Smith barreled up pitches and showed good pop including a big home run.
Brett Kreyer (2016, LHP/1B, Stone Bridge HS, VA) displayed the ability to hit to all fields. Kreyer has a good weight transfer throughout his swing and is able to get the barrel on the ball consistently.
Ethan Meece (2016, RHP/1B, Tuscola HS, NC) has a strong frame and a simple swing. Meece's bat is his best tool and projects as a middle-of-the-order run producer.
Spencer Brickhouse (2016, 1B/C, Bunn HS, NC) has a large projectable frame with good strength. Brickhouse uses his quick bat speed to hit the ball to all fields.
