The following players stood out during batting practice for the Steel and Texas Orange Teams at the Northeast Underclass Showcase.
Zach Stevens (2017, 1B, Lexington, MA) made hard ld drive contact using the whole field. Has present strength and projects to get stronger.
Luke Apuzzi (2016, OF, The Lawrenceville School, NJ) had a solid round of batting practice showing a consistent swing and contact to all fields. He showed gap to gap power as well.
Neil Powell (2016, MIF, Portsmouth, RI) showed good bat speed as well as pull power and flashed gap to gap power.
Johnny Tuccillo (2017, C/OF, Stissing Mountain, NY) has good barrel control with a line drive swing plane and hit to all fields.
