17u WWBA North Scout Notes: Days 1-2

Midwest Halos 2022 Red took down Elite Baseball Training 17u Varon 10-0 on Friday.  Cristiano Ramirez (2022, Muskego, Wis.) led the way offensively, going 2-for-2 with three RBI in the game.  He uses a toe tap trigger and showed nice barrel control, sending balls where they are pitched.  He does a nice job staying short to the ball which allows him to make necessary adjustments.


Will Johannes (2022, Mukwonago, Wis.) also did his part at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two well-struck singles.  He has a relaxed swing that he pairs with quick hands, allowing the ball to pop off his bat.  He has a simple load and stride and creates a lot of separation with his upper body as well.
