11u PG Super25 Projections

All amateur baseball teams will have the opportunity to become the No. 1 team in their region and represent that region in the Perfect Game Super25 National Championship.

The 11u PG Super25 will be played in Nashville, TN on July 09-13.  Spots still remain in the qualifying tournaments, so request an invite today to earn a spot in the Super25.

Berths Earned:

Caribbean Regional Champions: Los Angels de Cayey

Los Angles gave us the most exciting moment in the short history of the PG Super25, hitting a walk-off grand slam to win the championship game of the Caribbean Regionals.  You can view the video and the team’s awesome reaction here.

South Texas Regional Champions: Marucci Bulls

The Bulls defeated the Houston Wranglers in the Championship Game of the South Texas Regionals to earn a berth to the PG Super25 National Championships.  They defeated the Banditos Black in the semifinals, and had a number of impressive wins over the course of the tournament.

Four Corners Regional Champions: San Diego Show

A very talented team, the San Diego Show has a strong offense that scored a total of 61 runs in five games.  The offense was led by 1B/OF Sebastian Castro and 1B/OF Jackson Castillo.  RHP Carson Frincke showed good command on the mound as well.

North Texas Regional Champions: Academy Select Sun Devils - Ingram

The Sun Devils went a perfect 5-0 in last weekend’s North Texas Regional to earn a berth to the PG Super25 National Championship.  SS Jonathan Huff led the tournament with 6 RBI while slugging 1.000 on the weekend.  Jacob Prokarym and Jason Hawkins both threw shutouts, combining to allow only seven hits in 11 IP.

Ohio Valley Regional Champions: Midland Apaches

While they might be known for producing MLB stars Ken Griffey Jr. and Barry Larkin, the Midland organization has developed strong teams at the youth ages and it showed at the Ohio Valley Regionals.  The Apaches went 3-0 on Sunday to earn the berth the Nashville, defeating the Lids IN Bulls, Southern Illinois Bullets, and Louisville Titans.

Central Region: Full Count Select

Based out of Cedar Rapids, IA, Full Count Select will represent the Central Region.  They are a talented group of players that have proven themselves as one of the best “Majors” teams in the region.

California State Regional: San Diego Swagger Black

The Swagger is a tough team out of San Diego and they will be a team to beat in the California State Regionals.  The team was champions of the President’s Day Challenge and other competitive tournaments within the past year.

Coastal Regional: Carolina Stealth

The Stealth were champions of last season’s 10u USSSA Global World Series, and they will look to build off this success in the PG Super25.  They are off to a strong start in 2014 and will be tough to beat in the Coastal Region. 

Deep South Regional: Dulins Dodgers

Ranked #8 in the nation by Baseball Youth and #1 by USSSA, the Dodgers are a talented team out of Lakeland, TN.  So far in 2014, they have won multiple tournaments including the Best of the South Global WS Qualifier.  They play well on both sides of the ball, scoring an average of 9.8 runs per game while only allowing an average of 2.2. 

Florida State Regional: Team Florida

Team Florida is ranked the #3 team in the nation by Baseball Youth.  They won the Suncoast Travelball State Championship and the USSSA Undisputed Champions tournament already this season.

Georgia Regional: East Cobb Astros

One of the nation’s top travelball organizations, East Cobb is known to have some of the best teams in every age group.  The East Cobb Astros 11u is one of the top teams in the nation, ranked at #6 by Baseball Youth.

Great Lakes Regional: GRB Rays

Based out of the GRB Training Academy, the Wisconsin Premier Baseball Organization is considered to be one of the top programs for player development in the Midwest and the country.  The 11u Rays are off to a solid start in 2014, going 2-1 at the Illinois State Games with their only loss being a one-run heartbreaker to Top Tier. 

Mid-Atlantic Regional: Akadema Warriors Black

The Warriors were selected as the #1 team in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings.  They win with team speed, great baseball awareness and relentless pressure in every inning.

New England Regional: Ocean State Junior Waves

Members of the New England Elite Baseball League, the Jr. Waves are a talented group based out of Wakefield, Rhode Island.  The 11u team has already won multiple tournaments in 2014, including the Triple Crown Early Bird Classic in North Branford, CT.

NorCal Regional: OC Smash

The OC Smash baseball club is one of the most elite youth baseball organizations in California.  The 11u team went 3-1 at the President’s Day Global NIT and the program has talent at all age groups.

North Florida Regional: CBC Riverhawks Black

Starting off the season with a 36-4-3 record has earned the Riverhawks the #12 spot in the Baseball Youth National Rankings.  They tied the East Cobb Astros, and have wins over four other top 25 teams including Home Plate Chilidogs Kearns.

Pacific Northwest Regional: Baseball Northwest

Baseball Northwest is expected to have a very solid group of players from the Pacific Northwest to compete in the PG Super25 National Championships.

SoCal Regional: San Marcos Vortex

The vortex is off to a strong start, with a 23-5 record and impressive victories over some of the top teams in their area.  This will be one of the berths awarded at the California State Regionals.

South Florida Regional: Spartans PRO

At the Southern Elite 8 NIT, this team really made a name for themselves as they went a perfect 6-0 to win the tournament over some of the top teams in the nation.  At the event, they defeated the East Cobb Astros, Home Plate Chilidogs Kearns, DKSA Elite, and Central Florida Wolverines.

Texas State Regional: Dallas Dodgers Black

The Dodgers were recognized in the North Texas Regional Rankings, and they have proven that they belong by starting the season with a 17-5 record.  The team can really swing the bats up and down the lineup.

Midwest Super Regional: Lids Indiana Bulls Black

The Bulls opened up their new home complex, Grand Park, by winning the 2014 Bullpen Tournaments First Pitch Weeekend tournament.  They also finished in 1st place at the USSSA Spring Swing, so they have a lot of momentum heading into this weekends tournament. 

Northeast Super Regional: NJ Chargers

The chargers were given a top 25 ranking in the Mid-Atlantic 11u preseason poll, showing that they are well respected and one of the top teams in the region.  There will be a lot of talent at the Northeast Super Regionals, but the Chargers have the talent to win the berth.

West Super Regional: Venom

The Venom Baseball Club is based out of Newburry Park, CA and will look to earn the berth from the West Super Regional.  The team is led by a solid pitching duo of Josh Jackson and Matthew Martinez.  Martinez recently threw a no-hitter in the championship game to win a USSSA tournament at the Hart Baseball Complex.

Southeast Super Regional: 643 DP Cougars

A premier team from Marietta, GA, the Cougars are well coached and have strong fundamentals.  They had a strong showing at the TbS Super Regional in Georgia, where they defeated the Florida Battalion. 

South Super Regional: Team Citius USA

Championships at the King of the Diamond Bash, CTX For The  Love of the Game, and many other tournaments have given Team Citius USA respect in Texas as one of the best teams in the region.  They are very talented and will be a tough team to beat.
