CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Perfect Game has gained another valuable member to its growing team of talent evaluators by adding Frankie Piliere, who most recently served as a National Baseball Analyst for FOX Sports.

Piliere will officially begin his employment by providing his scouting expertise at the 2012 National Underclass Main Event Showcase to be held Dec.28-30 in Fort Myers, Fla. He also will be present at Perfect Game's first series of showcases in 2013; the World, National Underclass Session 3 and World Uncommitted Showcases to be held Jan. 5-6, also in Fort Myers.

Prior to his prospect evaluations for FOX Sports, which was a member of the Scout.com network under the name of ScoutingBaseball.com, Piliere served a similar role for AOL FanHouse. He has worked for two MLB organizations, breaking into the business with the Cleveland Indians as an Associate Scout in the Northeast and following that up with a two-year stint as a Professional Scout as a member of the Texas Rangers.

His work has appeared in USA Today as well as notable and respected web-sites including Baseball Prospectus and FanGraphs.

As a resident of South Yarmouth on Cape Cod, Mass. Piliere has covered the Cape Cod League extensively over the years in addition to analyzing the game of baseball at both the professional and amateur levels.

In addition to Piliere's scouting role at Perfect Game showcase and tournament events you will also see his work here on PerfectGame.org. Piliere will assist the current team of writers including Jeff Dahn, Patrick Ebert, Todd Gold, David Rawnsley, Kendall Rogers and Allan Simpson in covering the Draft, College, Summer Collegiate, High School and Minor League levels of the game.
