The Top-10 proved to be a dangerous spot once again as we saw seven teams either lose their weekend series or drop multiple games last week. More noteworthy is the fact that for the first time all season we have a new No.1 as the Wake Forest Demon Deacons ascend to the top of the college baseball landscape. They lead the nation in wins at 39-7, riding their deep rotation and powerful lineup to a 4.5 game lead in the ACC Atlantic division. LSU (37-10) drops their first series of the year and lands at No. 2 in this week’s poll as they are now a half-game behind No. 3 Arkansas (36-12). The Razorbacks continue to find creative ways to win despite the rash of injuries they have battled throughout. The Stanford Cardinal (31-13) makes the jump to No. 4 after they swept conference foe Arizona State and build a 3.5 game lead in the Pac-12 standings. South Carolina (36-11) has been reeling a bit of late, missing three everyday starters in the lineup and hold on at No.5 this week.

Three ACC teams have been surging, with Duke, Miami and Clemson all riding hot streaks into the top-10. No. 7 Duke (32-13) was off for exams this week and sits atop the ACC Coastal division and benefitted by the fallout of teams that were ahead of them. The Hurricanes (31-16) come in at No. 9 this week as they swept a non-conference series and are only a half-game behind Duke in the conference standings. Clemson (30-17) has won five consecutive ACC series and ascends to No. 10 as they are alone in second place behind Wake Forest in the ACC Atlantic division.

No. 14 West Virginia (36-12) has methodically climbed their way to the top of the unpredictable, Big-12 standings. The Kentucky Wildcats (33-13) have come back to life with their sweep of the Gamecocks and are up to No. 18 this week. The Oklahoma State Cowboys (33-14) are two games behind the Mountaineers in the Big-12 and return to the poll at No. 22. The Auburn Tigers (27-19-1) still have work to do in the SEC and with their overall body of work, however, they push their way into the poll at No. 23 this week and the heels of back-to-back series victories against South Carolina and LSU. Finally, the Maryland Terrapins (33-16) are back at No. 25 after their series victory over Nebraska and take sole possession of first place in the Big-10.

There are only two weeks left in the regular season, so be sure to stay in tune with our national coverage throughout.
